Wowowowowowoowoooo JBM Massive Congratulations

ria, I'm sure Iwould love the Wii Fit, if Iactually got it out of the blinking box

butterfly, was just thinking about you earlier...did you know that Texere now have an online shopping facility?? . I must get over there next week; my head is bursting with knitting projects at the minute and I need to go and see what yarns will satisfy my obsession!

Rialentless · 25/11/2009 23:37

Hi Butterfly.

can you play on the wii fit without it weighing you and putting "morbidly obeses" on the screen in big flashing letters?

OK, I have FB'ed everyone on my friends list who I think is on this thread except annobal and andiem. Do you think I should message DKMA? Butterfly, I don't think we are FB friends are we? Do you want to be in Secret Santa? If any of you notice any massive mistakes in my email (I tried to send the same one to everyone so you could keep me right) please let me know!

DH has redeemed himself from being a twunt by buying the "where's Stig" book for DS1s xmas prezzie! there seems to be a shortage of guilt prezzies for me though

I don't seem to have fury anymore but I'm sure you can contact me through daisy (is daisy doesn't mind)

I am on a mission tonight - on freecycle someone from the salvation army posted an appeal for toys and gifts for kids affected by the flooding in Cockermouth. If anyone is interested please contct your local salvation army and see if they are doing anything similar (surely it will be a nationawide thing, rather than just here?) Have emailed the primary school head (from DH's governors email as she hates me!) and have written the details down for DS1 to take to school tomorrow (he considers himslef to be Cumbrian as he was born in Westmorland General!). Thanks.

Bedtime.
Squealing baggins who thought he might get up a 4am yesterday! Night all.

LittleMissNorty · 26/11/2009 08:13

Ohhh 2nd June is my DDs birthday. Fab news JBM

Poor DS has been coughing and spluttering most of the night and is now soundly asleep.

trace2 · 26/11/2009 08:30

wow great news justbeme congratulation!!!!!!!!!!

JammyOLantern · 26/11/2009 12:06

Poor DS Norty

Hope DD is OK Natty, if you're there?

HV just been to see Jamlet. She is pleased with her progress but is referring us to SALT and to a "communication through play" session at the children's centre.

LittleMissNorty · 26/11/2009 19:07

That's good news Jammy.

My DD is having her 2.5 yr development check next week and I'll be discussing her speech. The complexity of her speech is fine but the clarity is not all that good. I know what she is saying but its hit and miss as to whether anyone else does, other than the obvious.

In the middle of swine flu vaccination research. I'm having mine next week but undecided about DCs as yet.....well only 80% decided. Who is giving their DCs the vaccination? Can I ask why / why not?

FrazzledFairyFay · 26/11/2009 19:09

CONGRATULATIONS JBM

Rialentless · 26/11/2009 22:50

haven't been offered it here yet Norty. Don't know what I'll do if/when we are. I usually do as I'm told. (as in, letter comes from GPs, we go to appt and have needles) I think Dsis had hers (NHS theatre nurse). As I don't keep up with stuff in the news I often have no idea what's going on until it happens/ we haven't had many suspected cases in these parts though.

LackaDAISYcal · 27/11/2009 18:46

5 years! I didn't think they did...or at least hadn't noticed before

bumble is poorly, again Temp of almost 41 through the night (another 3 hours sleep for me) and today, but doc says just viral. Noticed a couple of little ulcers right at the back of the roof of his mouth earlier so thinking maybe HFM. No spots on his hands and feet yet, but his bottom is quite spotty. He seems much perkier tonight, but that may just be the calpol/calprofen combo

saw on FB that E has been back to the docs Norty; I hope he's feeling a little better.

LackaDAISYcal · 27/11/2009 20:32

re SF jab norty; I am in six diffferent minds about it. DS1 will be offered it because of his asthma and then the little ones when it comes round. I spoke to the nurse on Tues when bumble had his jabs, and she said that if she could have her 9yo DD done she would...and I don't think it was just a bit of NHS propaganda.

Still not sure though and need to do some more research myself on it.

LittleMissNorty · 27/11/2009 22:57

Well I was almost certain I was going to have it and DCs then my work colleague had it on Wednesday and was admitted to hospital. I shall also be doing more research. But my instinct tells me to have it - and the kiddies.

Poor DS2 Daisy....hope he improves and you get some sleep tonight.

Yes took E back today but think I was panicking....his breathing was so laboured though and he was so listless. When he threw up his eyes rolled and he went really limp and it scared the shit out of me. However, 2 mins before I was called into the room, he fell asleep and was breathing OK . I've been given some ventolin for him and he had a warm steamy bath tonight.

justbeme · 28/11/2009 11:06

Thanks for the messages!
My broadband was broken y day.

More poorly ones - Hope you all get better soon.

Let us know how Dd gets on with the speech/play thing Jammy.

I don't like the idea of "new" vaccines . I wasn't going to have it...

JammyOLantern · 28/11/2009 18:30

What a day! Jamlet in bed by 6pm and straight onto the gin!! She's either ill and/or teething or has just been a grumpy, naughty bugger all day

Hope everyone else's ailments (HFM, SF, Bronchitis, whatever I've missed) are on the wane.

Not sure about the SF vaccine. Need to research. Not been offered it yet though.

Did some Xmas shopping today, but feel unhappy with my choice for my nephew. I found it really hard to concentrate as I could hear Jamlet crying across the store (DH trying to keep her out of my way as he knew I was getting a gift for her while I was at it) and so I made a poor choice. Think I will go back tomorrow and try to exchange.

Rialentless · 28/11/2009 18:55

poor jamlet. Baggins has teeth coming at the back. But he has also discovered naughtiness!

DS1 out, DS2 been to a party and now wanting to go to bed (in my bed as he needs a snuggle). Can't wait and as I need to tidy and mop the floors as DSis is comning for lunch after the Advent SUnday party/church service tomorrow. I wish I had a tidy house Spent a bloody fortune in Morrisons!

it is very cold.

how old is your nephew and what did you get him jammy?

JammyOLantern · 28/11/2009 19:23

He will 27 next week Ria. I went to pick him a toiletries gift pack type thing and am just wondering if I made the best choice.

Rialentless · 28/11/2009 23:51

brilliant link on this thread

DS1 was at a friends from 10-5 today and he wasn't offered anything to eat! (a pre-arranged thing, in a village with no shops) I feel awful for letting him go.

LittleMissNorty · 29/11/2009 17:36

great link Ria - thanks ...done a good one to greet my DH when he logs on tomorrow at work!

Poor DS1 - a bit odd not offering him anything!

DS on the mend thankfully

JammyOLantern · 29/11/2009 22:02

It has felt like a very long weekend Jamlet has been SUCH hard work. But we have had fun, making xmas cards and decorations and some teddy shaped biscuits. Packed up some decorations and a card (but no biscuits) to send to my brother in Brazil. Felt very odd writing his card and made me feel rather sad. I guess the fact that even with air mile I have to post it this week for Christmas delivery and it could be almost a month before he reads it reinforced the distance, which is easy to forget when the time difference is only 2 hours and we can chat freely online with webcams
