Aw Norty, sorry about your day. It does sound really shit

I had a disaster at work, but it will be much easier to sort out than 2 LOs in a shopping centre! Might have to do some work this evening though

DH's back is improving thankfully, but I have told him to be very careful as I don't want him getting worse again. But at least he could put his own socks on this morning

trace2 · 03/11/2009 20:33

hi all sorry missed your ds birthday daiy!

little miss about the eating issues please dont make a fuss they can tell you getting worked up , we have speech therapy comes here and all we here dont make , shout make a fuss if you dont offer sweets or biscuits they will eat when hungry . on the other hand we have been told at ds meeting for asperger that there is grown ups who have got to old age with only eating bread and are very healthy.

as for chloe we though she had started to eat by mouth but she choked on monday so they wont let her have lumps now till they re check her throat out to see why she can not swallow .

LatinDAISYcal · 03/11/2009 20:52

Aw trace, sorry about Chloe and the eating. It seems like two steps forward and one back for you

foxy. My wee whisky is waiting for me at 9pm , then I'm collapsing in bed. I didn't do too badly today considering, but Dd got in such a state at bedtime. She won't nap in the day now unless we are in the car or occasionally in the pram so by bedtime she is besiode herslef. and we were late tonight as we had to wait on the electrician coming to fix the bathroom light before they could all get a bath. I wouldn't normally have bothered, but I can't honestly remember the last time bumble had one ; certainly before we went on holiday and he was starting to smell a bit cheesy

I hope the work thing doesn't keep you too long jammy, and what's up with DH's back? How is your asthma now as well; has it all settled down again?

OP posts:
JammyOLantern · 03/11/2009 21:28

Trace, sorry to hear about another set back with Chloe

Daisy - just general wear and tear for DH's back i think. And yes thanks, my asthma had got a lot more controlled thanks.

Well, i did a quick half hour, and established that I should be able to put things straight tomorrow at work, so have stopped work now.

ameRIAcansmooth · 03/11/2009 22:35

trace. hope it turns out ok.

DH went to college with one of the chefs at the restaurant on the Fword.

sorry you've had to work jammy, hope it's ok.

for hangovers and crappy shopping days. The plan with having 3 is to have a much older eldest one, then in shops too tight for the buggy he can stay outside! we never go anywhere busy that I can't see them though.

apparently (according to the wisdom of my sister) daytime drinking is OK on a Sunday, because if you went out for lunch you would have a glass of something

LatinDAISYcal · 03/11/2009 22:35

My neighbour came over earlier to let us know that he has rats in his attic (and who knows where else in his house ). Fecking striking binmen ; the rat population here is exploding apparently. Anyhoo it has cost him nearly £200 to get Rentokill in to sort the problem but he is going to send the bill to the council!

We are thinking of witholding some council tax money next year to make up for the lack of service. We've had two collections in seven weeks for refuse and no recycling or garden waste collection at all. It's getting ridiculous.

rant over!

LittleMissNorticiaAdams · 03/11/2009 22:39

aww Trace

Been watching that on the news Diasy.....I would do the same...surely they should be getting someone to do it....its their responsibility to....isn't it an envirmental health issue now?

Have taped the F word

LittleMissNorticiaAdams · 03/11/2009 22:41

crap typing!

What happened to your early night then Daisy??

I'm off to bed now! night all x

LatinDAISYcal · 03/11/2009 22:43

bugger, have I missed gordon?

LittleMissNorticiaAdams · 04/11/2009 08:21

channel 4 + 1 is very useful sometimes as I realised too late as well!

Peace reigns today....DD at nursery. 3 weeks time and DS starts....feels a bit odd tbh. I know he'll be fine but he's my baby! I didn't feel like this with DD...perhaps its because I know he's my last.

LittleMissNorty · 04/11/2009 08:23

Just realised I was still using my Halloween name

ameRIAcansmooth · 04/11/2009 13:14

I forgot we were taking DS2s friend to school this morning. I was still in bed (backache) and DN wasn't dressed. Then we had a flat tyre! The little poppet told me my house was very untidy I am and . I have been trying sohard, but I'm still drowning in chaos. I really want to crawl in to bed and not come out

JammyOLantern · 04/11/2009 19:08

Oh dear Ria, you really can rely on children to say just the thing you don't want to hear! Hope you've perked up a bit now?

It was glorious sunshine as we came home at lunchtime. I'd had a text from my Dad saying he had a bad cold, so I suggested to Jamlet that we make him some "get well" biscuits to take with us tomorrow. So at least that kept us amused when the sunshine rapidly turned to rain And later we did some more cooking - making curry for tea. Jamlet helped me measure out the spices, but while I wasn't looking she put her finger in the chilli masala powder and licked it I heard crying and had to quickly get her a glass of milk!

ameRIAcansmooth · 04/11/2009 22:09

bless her.
My Dad's birthday today, so we made chocolate cake to take over, and I spent half an hour looking for his card - a lovely print of a silk painting of Ingleborough -it was exactly where I put it). My bloody sister also bought him mini toblerone - so now he has 2 boxes!

still feeling crap, but Time Of Month, so at least that explains it. Taking same child to school tomorrow, and house still messy. Hey ho.

LackaDAISYcal · 05/11/2009 00:29

Oh, dear, poor jamlet; I hope she is OK.

DD bit the end of a chilli in a shop when we were on holiday in the summer. Thankfully they sold milk and the kind shop assistant goet her a glass to drink! It was mild as well so no damage.

I hope your Dad feels better and enjoys his biccies jammy!

early nights....I can't seem to do them these days!

or considering recent nights, this IS early

ameRIAcansmooth · 05/11/2009 10:53

I probably would have still been up then too daisy, but had a row with DH who was annoyed with the cat for using its litter tray. Would he rather the cat had crapped on the floor I wonder

am tidying today as DS2s "girlfriend" is coming to tea tomorrow, and last time she was here it was like having a mini Kim/Aggie. Poor little thing is being picked on at school for being mixed race (they are in yr 1 FFS) and she has been trying to wash her face white. Apparently she had been upset at school one day and DS2 told her she had lovely skin. Bless him. I was very proud when her mum said.

am also expecting a phonecall from DS1s english teacher

LittleMissNorty · 05/11/2009 11:49

Ow chilli sounds horrible. Didn't know to drink milk though!

DS has called DS a "little bugger" three times today . Obviously need to be a bit more careful

Lovely pics Daisy of Bumbles birthday.....what is it about boys and long eyelashes....my DS has lovely long eyelashes as well . not bloody fair!

ameRIAcansmooth · 06/11/2009 00:45

milk/bread apparently, water makes it worse.

LOL at DD Norty.

exhausted today. Had MHN appt this afternoon, she seemed determined to focus on my anxiety today, even though I aren't on an anxiety cycle ATM but more depressed and exhausted, I even told her I just wasnted to crawl into bed until it all went away (am trying the honesty thing). She still doesn't think I need the ADs though. I do wish the back of her nose stud didn't stick out of her nostril like a silver bogey though

Sputnik · 06/11/2009 09:15

I can see how that could be off-putting!

Ohforfoxsake · 06/11/2009 13:39

WTF?

ameRIAcansmooth · 06/11/2009 20:44

"I have nothing to say...", erm, say nothing then!

JammyOLantern · 06/11/2009 21:03

Cheers Daisy, he did enjoy the biccies and is feeling slightly better but not much.

Milk for chilli? Yes the spicy chemicals dissolve in fat or alcohol, but not water. And I could hardly give her a pint of lager now could I?

Had lunch with jamlet and my DSis at pizza express today - I have NEVER seen Jamlet eat so much, and I know she can eat for England when she has a mind to! She polished off all of their children's menu bar one slice of cucumber and about 4 pieces of pasta! But for the first time ever she didn't ask for an afternoon snack

Ooooh, Dad has just brought me a VLB (Very Large Baileys)

ameRIAcansmooth · 06/11/2009 21:06

jammy

Ohforfoxsake · 06/11/2009 21:09

mmm VLB. Must mean its nearly Christmas.

I'm having a crisp butty and a glass of wine.

There. You all want one now, don't you?!

I have re-arranged my living room and finally feel as though I am getting somewhere.

Phew! Off to enjoy my butty and Jon & Kate +8.

Hope you are all well

ameRIAcansmooth · 06/11/2009 22:42

foxy. glass of wine here too. not so keen on anything crispy inside bread though, barring bacon of course. Yay for nice living rooms. Mine was...

I have dealt with the grey hair and even used moisturiser ready for my first ever facial tomorrow!
