have remembered - he's limping!!! FFS...

ameRIAcansmooth · 19/10/2009 12:03

DH in one of his funny moods today, he has a governors meeting and then is playing pool, and waited for me to come in from my class to see if I wanted a bath (because he wanted one) so that means he is a doing F All frame of mind again. And I am really far behind with stuff from doing his bloody gardening on Saturday. Want to cry and then go to sleep

ameRIAcansmooth · 19/10/2009 18:05

quick question for norty or Holly or anyone (if you don't mind) - I sold something on ebay on 15th, haven't been paid yet. I sent another invoice this morning. How long do I leave it before doing whatever you do for non-payment?

Sputnik · 19/10/2009 19:52

You can't open a case before 7 days. I would send a polite reminder saying the item is packed and ready to go. Or just wait a bit longer.

LatinDAISYcal · 19/10/2009 20:07

I'm have been wooed by the beeb to come and do watchdog tomorrow!!!!!! Sadly too short notice; no amount of wooing can get me to W London for 2.30pm tomorrow

Would have loved to have met the great AR herself!

What did they want you do to Dasiy?

LatinDAISYcal · 19/10/2009 20:51

I sent an email after the programme last week about centerparcs holiday price hikes and they wanted me to come and do the follow up to it. Travel expenses, overnight accommodation and someone to look after the littlies in the green room!

Ah well, will just need to keep complaining

ameRIAcansmooth · 20/10/2009 00:53

shame daisy. nice to be heard though, but I wouldn't go on TV for anything (even someone to look after my kids). are they still doing the story though

thanks sputnik

Ohforfoxsake · 20/10/2009 11:25

Ooh, how exciting Daisy! Just to be asked is exciting enough!

Ohforfoxsake · 20/10/2009 11:27

I'd consider Location, Location, Location.

LatinDAISYcal · 20/10/2009 21:16

lol foxy...I'll scout property for you and then film you on my camcorder; I can even wear sticky out skirts and impossible shoes and talk (with more knowledge than Ms Allsopp I hasten to add) about knocking through to create an open plan lounge/diner/kitchen/bathroom/bedroom/sauna/shed if you like

almost as good as the real deal

Daisy!

Persuaded DH that we should put the heating on tonight (was trying to hold off until november). Jamlet was shivering and quite unhappy in the bit between getting out of the bath and getting jammies on, even though she was covered in a poncho towel thing When he put it on we played with the thermostat to see the point at which it kicked in/turned off - it seemed that it was 12 degrees in our house!! We're now at a tropical 15 degrees

Good news is that Jamlet finally agreed to lie down on her bed tonight for bedtime stories Since she had her strop about it last Thursday she's only sat on the edge of it and has had a paddy at the idea of snuggling down, but tonight she relented and seemed to enjoy it

ameRIAcansmooth · 20/10/2009 22:28

daisy - is that nursery in Leeds near you?

our heating kicks in about 15 I think. It is always too hot when DH is in (with him being used to being in the kitchen all the time he seems to feel the cold, and a jumper doesn't seem to cut it)

I love Location

I went out tonight!!! but still 2 DC awake when I got home

LatinDAISYcal · 20/10/2009 23:13

what nursery Ria? what have i missed?

OP posts:
ameRIAcansmooth · 21/10/2009 11:15

there is a nursery worker under suspicion of assault on a child. it was on the radio last night.

Ohforfoxsake · 21/10/2009 16:16

Yes please to your offer Daisy!

Considering going on the market now. Bit scary. What if we sell? Then we'd actually have to move?

I won an Xbox, Guitar Hero game, and band kit in a Doritos competition today!!! Am not telling my children. I get enough grief from Wii whinging. Its a great prize, which should sell well on Ebay

Ohforfoxsake · 21/10/2009 16:18

AND - double bonus - my Mumsnet/Phillips 'sensual Massager' came today. I do love a bit of product testing

JammyOLantern · 21/10/2009 20:16

So no need to guess where Foxy is right now

Jamlet is sleeping on her bed. Yes on the bed, not in it. She's still in her sleeping bag, but that's OK

OK, kitchen to clean. ILs arriving tomorrow!

LatinDAISYcal · 21/10/2009 20:42

It's south Leeds somewhere Ria. Not round here, but flipping heck. You wonder how much of this is going to come out now after the Plymouth thing .

Wooooo to the massager foxy ; enjoy

I'm meant to be working, trying to figure out what to say to the council lady tomorrow, but the lure of MN and FB is toooo much. Either that or my knitting!

OP posts:
Ohforfoxsake · 21/10/2009 21:01

Nooo, I'm here. Trying to sort out selling our house.

ameRIAcansmooth · 21/10/2009 21:10

of the win foxy (you can keep the other thing, I'd rather have a bottle of sauvingnon blanc amd some crisps)

yay for jamlet

am pissed off, I bought something on BIN on ebay and have had a request to cancel as they'd already accepted an offer but hadn't got round to closing the listing.

they said it was an "isolated case" daisy, I don't see how that works TBH

was going to go ont he exercise bike, but I tidied DS2s bookcase instead, and am now slipping off the WW wagon wonder why I never make it past day 1? think I'll catch up on stictly and leave my kitting for tomorrow...

ameRIAcansmooth · 21/10/2009 21:38

some ofthese are a bit silly.

JammyOLantern · 21/10/2009 22:17

Took Jamlet to the toy library in neighbouring village this afternoon. There was a play bus, which was fitted out with a (free ) soft play area, which she liked for ten mins then got upset that I wasn't in there with her (The entrance was a tiny hole to crawl in and I felt I was at risk of getting stuck ) And there was also a toy library bus, and we borrowed (for free!) a bag of musical instruments, a game and an Iggle Piggle dressing up outfit We can have them until Nov 18th when we can go swap them for some more things

ameRIAcansmooth · 21/10/2009 22:24

that's fab Jammy (not jamlet being upset of course), there's nothing like that round here not even at the unfriendly childrens centre.

JammyOLantern · 21/10/2009 22:34

I was very impressed Ria! Will definitely be going back again.

Going shopping with a friend and her 12 week old tomorrow. Am a little about how it will go - I get the impression that she is much more of a "routine" Mummy than I am, and am also a little worried that she thinks Jamlet will go to the creche or play by herself in the play area while we sit back with a coffee and have a good natter.
