p.ps You guys won't get this but Reallywoundup, if you're there Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

madmouse · 30/10/2009 09:23

LaT - just text you too - so so pleased for you and also very jealous

MrsMc I have a boy who says daddy, dah (which means yes) and since a few days Helllloooooooo!

But then Nathan is an unknown quantity as we do not know what exactly is damaged in his head and what effect it will have. Although he is showing every sign of talking soon and in fact I am starting to think he says lots of things but very unclearly. Will mention it to his community paed in a few weeks. But boys are slower aren't they? And even judging by the kids around me in rl some of the girls here - notably Molly and Charlie are very advanced.

Lily JKS was complaining about mn misbehaving last night. Nice to see you and your family doing so well.

I am ok-ish at the moment - therapy and thinking taking lots of my energy. Return to work postponed until 1 March as dh and close friends have united front and say no way you can't go back yet. And I know they are right deep down. Via mn thread I found another lady going through the same thing and we are emailing now as the stuff is a bit too sensitive and personal for mn. It is a bit scary to see how similar we are in how we have been changed by it. Further proof to shut up that little part of me that still likes to pretend it didn't happen

I was expecting to be up and down all night but DS slept undisturbed in new bed til 5am. When I went in he was sat up in bed whinging not realising he could actually hop out of it if he wished.

Lilyloooohhhh · 30/10/2009 21:04

LaT
Do you speak to reallywoundup ? I have been lurking on one of her threads and know she is having a really rough time at the moment.

MM so glad you have found someone on here who can know how your feeling.

Simps , sheet with holes cut easy

Nicky glad Noah had two good nights hope it continues! You too Ange a good nioghts sleep works wonders.

JKS bet you still filling in that form

Gingeme i heart my new (2 year old bed) well worth spending money on. Only problem being i hate getting out of it
MrsMc M only just started putting words together we have had lot's of pulling by finger to what she wants.

DC very excited to go trick or treat tom , neighbours been putting up decs today and they have been playing out in their costumes today!!

Feeling like a bit of a pants mummy today as DCs been fighting lots and I lost my temper They are sooo competitive

LaT - look away as you will have same age gap

In hindsight I think J does not get enough attention from me and M gets too much so he plays up. His current trick is to encourage M to bite him so she gets in trouble

Lilyloo - yes think M may go as ghost

Got Halloweeen party tomorrow 12-2 then later at some point going to put kids in costumes and hide sweets around the house rather than trick or treating iyswim.

JKS - how did the form go?? I have one tomorrow for house insurance

Nicky - glad Noah better

Gingeme - How are you? Do you fancy a meet up any time soon??

simpson · 30/10/2009 22:13

forgot to say Ange well done to A for sleeping in big boy bed

LaTruchaaaaaaaaaargh · 30/10/2009 22:38

I've asked for my last post to be withdrawn as I said where another MN is from and I shouldn't have. Really sorry.

LaTruchaaaaaaaaaargh · 30/10/2009 22:38

It wasn't one of you.

Lilyloooohhhh · 30/10/2009 22:46

LaT not sure there are enough of us on here to make her worry but better be safe.
Small mn world eh!!
The need to pee is great reminder ..

Simps it's not you
L and H argue constantly , and M now trying to shout at them both in her own way but can make out 'shutup'

simpson · 30/10/2009 22:53

LOL lilyloo M's is I win!! and she doesn't have a clue what it means

LaTruchaaaaaaaaaargh · 31/10/2009 13:22

Hmm Simpson - that age gap doesn't sound promising. TBh it is a bit of bad timing really as she's only able to start her nursery at 2.5, which is exactly when this one will be due. Not good.

Feel like sitting down and crying over really silly things. Dad is beig very picky and is very depressed and my boots have just broken. That last one might sound really silly, but I only bought one pair with me and I'm skint this month. I have £150 a month for 'non-essential' things (like visits to parents and shoes). It cost me £110 to come here, I had to pay £35 for a back appointment I needed and now I have to buy bloody shoes for a train trip home to go and look at the other shoes and boots I already have! It's really got me down I feel like just as I'm able to afford something expensive, like a trip here, I get completely whacked with something else so I am always, always playing catch up. Totally fed up.

Oh, and I'll need to fork out for another train trip here in December AND buy my family Christmas and birthday presents

Totally, Totally

simpson · 31/10/2009 17:17

LaT ((hugs))

The down side of this age gap is the competitiveness/fighting between them but that could just be the nature of my kids iyswim

But M adores J and J is very protective of her which is lovely.

J started nursery when M was born too (2.5) and he was absolutely fine

I thought it would be massive up heaval for him and to have new sibling at the same time iyswim.

The only thing hw was very uphappy about was giving up his cot so we did not bother (as he has got cot bed) and just bought M cheapo cot from ikea...

AngeChica · 31/10/2009 19:36

LaT. Do you mean you are going home to fetch some shoes and go back again? Sorry for being dense!

Simpson - FINALLY! a win! And - DH has gone all the way to Preston to see Palarse today and they drew

A is loving his bed. No fuss re naps or bedtime. I did measure his height and he is 92 cm so no wonder he's more comfy in there. If only we could cure the 4.30-5am waking! (ie not waking for the day then but waking to come in with us for another hour or 2). We've kind of got used to it now - we have to do what we must to make sure we are not too knackered for work - but DH says he would rather DS learned to come in and crawl in with us himself now instead of crying for us to go and get him.

LaTruchaaaaaaaaaargh · 31/10/2009 19:51

No, I mean I only need shoes to get home. I've got plenty there! That's why I'm frustrated. I was trying to travel light as I was on my own with Sabela on the train and will be on the way back too.

Simpson - that's interesting. I know a 2.5 year old and she has become VERY definite about what she wants to do. She used to be very suggestible but now, it's heals in the ground. Encouraging about nursery, although I might put it off a couple of months.

LaTruchaaaaaaaaaargh · 31/10/2009 19:59

Oh, and I would only say this on this thread, but do you sometimes read a thread on here and really think, 'WTF.' I still can't get over the one where the poster got totally flamed for letting her toddler chase pigeons. You MAY not think it's a particularly nice thing to do, but some people were comparing it to torture!

Oh, and some of the name threads, I see in Active convos and think, 'Everyone is going to say NO' and then twenty people say, 'Ooo I think Sophronia (etc) is lovely' etc.

Hmmmm Just been bugging me.

AngeChica · 31/10/2009 20:55

is there anyone around (relative or neighbout?)there you can borrow a pair from and post them back?

IKWYm I hardly dare venture away from this thread. Amazing support & advice if you need it but I always think some of them are like the girls at school who were bigger and more popular than you

simpson · 31/10/2009 21:53

does anyone know where I can get a cheap terracotta pumpkin from??

J dropped ours tonight when I brought it in from outside and its smashed

Poor little boy sobbed himself to sleep

Got the one he broke from pound land near my mum's so going there tom to see if any left

Have googled some online but they are a bit £££

Gingemeeeklookatthatspider · 01/11/2009 12:36

Afternoon ladies.
Simpson I expect there will be lots of cheap halloween stuff in the shops now. Good luck with that.
LaT are you sure one more pair of shoes wouldn't hurt ?
Im sorry a toddler got flamed for chasing pigeons? My boys do it all the time. Its the best thing ever What do stupid pigeons care FFS
ds1,3 and 4 and I went trick or treating last night. Did quite well. ds4 got a bit scared when a man shouted 'Go away' from one house but soon got over it. Though he did ring Nanny when we got home to tell her al about it
Taking my big boys home soon. We are all going. Not sure how sureal its going to be going to my ex's house and having a cuppa and a chat
Will let you know how it goes later. xx
