I hope that this will do you all as the last thread ran out.

Let the fun and chocolate eating commence...

Actually, I look more like this --> , though less peevish.

Guimauve · 02/10/2009 18:16

And panting for breath like this -->

Bicnod · 02/10/2009 18:20

I'm about to go running in the dark... definitely the best way when your ass is as wobbly as mine.

Whereabouts are you Gui? If you're SW London and fancy a running buddy I'm your gal...

That is a bargain - what's it like - I really need to get one for K x

Guimauve · 02/10/2009 18:53

Ah, Bicnod fortunately sadly I am in Kent, and will not be able to join you!

BabyBolat · 02/10/2009 18:54

Gui - looking at his pics H looks perfectly fine and content so I personally think you couldn't do anything more for him, he is just going to be a skinny minny what's the betting he'll be some skinny-jean wearing hipster that all the girls salivate over...

Ah, Jared Leto. Once had a dream about him. Hmmmmm. Remember 'My So Called Life'? I used to love that.

BabyBolat · 02/10/2009 19:44

I heart Jared Leto x

Hello

remember me?

apologies for long absence. What with real life (dammit) and DH's addiction to World of Warcraft haven't been on the computer much.

But DH out, children asleep (hallelujah) so have poured myself a drop of wine and thought it high time I check in and see how everyone is here.

LuLu!!!! Welcome back, how are things? We need an update please on how little S and his big sister are doing!

People, I need some fingers crossed for H please, she's back on ABx and her skin not looking good right now. Either the infection is back and those bloody bacteria are not reacting to the ABx as they should, or she does have eczema after all??? Although it seems to be spreading so I have a suspicion it's still the infection. When I got her out of the bath she looked bright red in some places, and I thought we might have to go to A&E tomorrow Because frankly, our GPs know fuck all about skin problems and I want her to be seen by a paed who knows his stuff.

Bicnod · 02/10/2009 20:19

Hey Lulu

Gui - sorry you can't join me I'm back from my run and have just eaten some banana bread (I will continue to assert that banana bread is not really cake) - do you think the two cancel each other out?!

Oh Feiera - that's not good news... all fingers and toes crossed here.

DH is watching mastermind (yaaaaaaaaawn) - I wanted to watch Ugly Betty but got vetoed.

Sat here listening to Oscar beetling away on the monitor... fingers crossed for a good night tonight but probably wishful thinking as he's been really grouchy today with his teeth poor mite.

BabyBolat · 02/10/2009 20:22

fei I would go to the hospital if I were you, at the very least it would put your mind at rest.

HEY LULU xxxxx

K went to sleep at 6.30 so not holding out all hope of a nice night x

LuLuBai · 02/10/2009 20:44

Hello

Just been catching up. All these hospital trips. Lots of hugs to BB, Puzzle, Feier and anyone else I have missed whose LOs have been unwell. Hoping everyone getting better now?

Update on me? Not much to report tbh. S is still lovely and smiley and DD causes havoc and pandemonium wherever we go. No change really.

Our current project is to try and get them to sleep in the same room which has actually led to a bizarre game of musical beds in the night with no-one waking up in the same place they went to bed in.

Meanwhile the cat's latest trick is pissing on the post, so I have taken to stalking the postman in the morning to make sure I get the post off him before it comes through the letterbox.

Life as usual chez LLB really.

LuLuBai · 02/10/2009 20:51

Although may have to namechange as DH has pinched my name for his latest W.O.W. character. Yes this is flattering as she is a kick-ass bitch but irritating as it was My Name First!

Feierabend · 02/10/2009 21:06

Musical beds sounds like fun...

WrigglyFish · 02/10/2009 21:06

OK - just to update this is my current name.

Not really sure it suits so will probably change when I think of something better, but in the meantime will suffice (tis something DD said which made me laugh).

AuldAlliance · 02/10/2009 21:08

hellooooo, LuLu! Now we need gingersarah to reappear...who else is missing??
Feier, you really are having a rough time with H, I'd go to A&E too.
Haven't had time to do proper catch up, just popping in after a day at home in the sanatorium with DS1, playing Monopoly (interesting with a child who can't read!) and making gingerbread men.
DH is still not back from work (10pm Friday night). His supper is sitting on the table like some offering from a Stepford Wife, and I am off to bed.

Guimauve · 02/10/2009 21:10

Hey Lulu! How's the house? I know a WOW widow. It's a scary thing. Does DH do the thing where you arrange some kind of virtual date with a load of online friends in order to have a 'rumble' with another group? I don't mind computer games or a bit of Sci-Fi/ fantasy stuff, but WOW inspires a whole new level of obsession!

Feier - is she still just on the fluclox? It sounds like she may need something a bit more broad-spectrum.

Bicnod - you have no idea how distraught I am that I cannot run! However, if you could keep mentioning your running, it may yet inspire me to get off my (wobbly) ass. Good luck with the sleeping!

Well, decided just to give the old blw a kick start tonight. Dinner was chilli and rice, which may not have been the easiest thing to start with! I mixed up a bit of the chilli (mild!) and rice with some mascarpone (for fat and grabbability), and gave him a dollop of that. Also a piece of avocado and some chard (which I figured he would have no chance of really eating, but might be entertaining!). He immediately smeared the chilli mix all over his table, and then decided he didn't like his high-chair. Got him out onto my lap and he proceeded to quite enjoy his bit of avocado, and mumped a bit of chilli off my hands. I think some of the avo went down (Ooooh, Ocado is avocado without the 'av'! Revelation!). But heavens to Betsy, the mess! I mean, I know it's a messy way to wean, but should we really both have ended up coated in chilli, cheese and avocado from top to toe? How do I do it without having to bathe both of us three times a day??? Anyway, tomorrow I think we'll have a go at some porridge, and maybe see how he gets on with a spoon. I suspect it will result in an eyeful of porridge for one or both of us!
