Puzzle so glad Ellen is on the mend. You poor things, what a nightmare few days you've had. Hope you can all get some rest and recover!

Bicnod · 01/10/2009 08:53

Hey Puzzle - so glad to hear Ellen is home and getting better...

Sending big hugs and restful sleep vibes x x

BabyBolat · 01/10/2009 09:34

Good morning.

Thank you. She is up and about this morning but still shaky. I'm not sure whether to keep her indoors or bundle her up warm and get some fresh air? What do we think?

I'm off for a catch up. It's good to be back in the fold.

Puzzle, I personally would keep her in for most of the day and perhaps pop out for some fresh air this afternoon but then it is cloudy and horrible here! It's agood sign she is up and about though xxx

Nutty, I think homework is a good idea too xx

PuzzleRocks · 01/10/2009 10:54

Bronze - How is Nia? I can't believe the hassle you have had. Are you going to lodge a complaint?

Nuts - He didn't know her date of birth. The more I read, the more I think thank god you are shot of him. Tit.

Boff - What a horrible day. Does your Nanny only work Monday to Friday? Your period sounds absurdly heavy. Should you get it checked?

B52's - Gimpy.

BB - Bloody hell, your poor thing. A broken foot and a poorly baby. It occurred to me that at least Ellen could tell me what hurt and how she was feeling. A sick baby must be all the more terrifying. Is he well now?

Swaliswan - If I had been about I would have commented on your thread. Well done to BB.

BB - Sounds like you are trying to defend your working. Don't!
As you say, you have a brilliant support network. K is well loved and looked after and wants for nothing. Life is not black and white.
You know I work part-time, from home. I love being at home with my girls but I would still want work even if we didn't need the money. I love accountancy . It's what we have known for years and years so it's hardly surprising.

Springy - Nonsense. I would come up trumps in a bar brawl. I'm double-'ard!

Nutty - Apocolypse Now is brilliant. But then I definitely have a penis when it comes to films. I'm not into the girly stuff so probably best I missed your Sunday night slumber party. .
I'm actually a bit of a movie encyclopedia. It's one of my specialist subjects along with serial killers and sharks. Go on, ask me anything.

Bicnod - Glad you had a great holiday.

Auld - From what I have seen CC is very unpopular on MN. If you start a thread I am sure others will offer you lots of ammunition if that's what you want. Just be careful, sleep, like feeding, really polarises people and the threads can get a bit heated.

Nutts - I just don't have the words so will have to make do with knob knob knob knob

Guimauve · 01/10/2009 11:19

A more Nutty question - which serial killer has the biggest body part

kazkiss · 01/10/2009 11:20

Hiya puzzle,

Hope you are all ok this morning. blimey what an ordeal you have been through. The salbutamol that E is on can make her a bit shaky too especially if she is on a high dose.

Hi everyone else hope you are all well. really not having much time to post at the moment as babies are getting very very active.

they are both rolling aroung like nobodys business so seriuosly babyproofing at the moment. Izzie keeps sleeping on her front which although looks very cute does slighty panic me. Although that said she doesnt snore as loudly on her front so i think she can actually breathe better!

ooh i am attempting using my slow cooker for the 1st time today so feel quite brave. just some lamb steaks and bbq sauce so not that exciting. Has anyone got any good slowcooker recipes /websites etc

kazkiss · 01/10/2009 11:21

oooh nutty hope consultant appointment goes well and they offer you surgery if thats whats needed!

Guimauve · 01/10/2009 11:22

Kaz, I believe it is said that once they are old enough to get themselves onto their fronts, the risk is minimal anyway.

Guimauve · 01/10/2009 11:23

Bucketloads of slow cooker stuff on the recipes/ food boards, and have a look in the recipes section.

kazkiss · 01/10/2009 11:24

haha gui didnt read your post re: salbutamol lol. great minds eh!!

Puzzle It was horrible, he was just all floppy and swollen and was either asleep or screaming - i didn't think I was all that maternal until that point when I literally would have done anything to make him OK again - obviously I love him more than anything but I have never been a particularly over-protective of him in any way. He is currently crawling around the floor wiping his bogeys on the carpet so yes he is much better, still has a slight temperature and cough but pretty much back to normal x

How is DH - how many calls have you had this morning?
Bless him - must have been very hard x

I also love bloke films - most films with the exception of anything slapstick (not a Jim Carey fan) I don't like anything like that but love adventure / war films, also quite like things like Apocolypto - My favourite film of all time is the notebook though - truly magical x

Nutty - he is a pathetic arse - please. Your marriage was not a lie. he is just pathetic. I do think (and I know it's easier said than done) you should get some formal visiting in place so he is not around yours all the time.

kazkiss · 01/10/2009 11:25

oooh going to look at recipe threads now! I also have baked a cake what a 50's housewife am i! lol

kazkiss · 01/10/2009 11:27

i think i actually have more sympathy with those with a baby and toddler i think that must be much harder! ( i may change my mind when i have two toddlers running in different directions though!)
