I hope that this will do you all as the last thread ran out.

Let the fun and chocolate eating commence...

Nooooo not that one with Halle Berry surely.

BoffinMum · 25/09/2009 23:37

Nutts, put little foodie treats around the house and see if Phoenix secretly eats them when you're not looking. One of DH's goddaughters did this during an I will not eat phase.

B52s · 25/09/2009 23:38

Mmmm I should try that with Zach. He only eats fishfingers, waffles and pasta at the mo.

BoffinMum · 25/09/2009 23:42

Cheese strings are a very good food trail item.

Morning. Nutts, sounds like you're coping amazingly well. Shite about the pain in your legs/back though and that ex dh is still around so much - can you not ask him to meet the girls elsewhere, or go out yourself when he's there? Yay for nights out!

Hello B52s! Long time no see.

Auld - I would have given up by now and started using formula. Well done you.

Must be off...

dawntigga · 26/09/2009 09:14

Nutty! So glad to see you back Covers Nutty in wet slobbery kisses.

We have a bug, the world is falling out of our bottoms. Luckily Sam doesn't have it - yet. I haven't felt this bad since I had shingles!!!! You would have all been proud of the spectacular vomiting session I had though. Last time I did that I had a stomach bug and managed to cover my dog who then tried to eat it!!! It was the tiniest bit Witches of Eastwick

ahhhh

am shattered

Hello Nuts good to have you back

ok going to copy and paste this re Nia
ok on the 14th I took her to the doctor with a lump on her neck. they referred us to the hospital. 17th went to the paeds clinic given antibiotics and told to go to clinic on ward on the monday (21st). On 21st turn up at ward. They have no idea who she is or what its about and her notes are lost so we are sent home. Got a call to go back in for friday (25th). So yesterday lunchtime we went in for her appointment, she had bloods taken, then we are sent home to come back in at 6 for a scan. Scan shows most likely a thyroglossal cyst. Referred to surgeon at Norwich (nnuh) so off to nnuh on monday (think dhs taking her on his own as we've offloaded the boys on friends far too much. Suspect it will just be an assessment and she'll have to go back in again for treatment.

Thing is if its a cyst its not life threatening or anything and surely they would have saved money just by being a lot more efficient. They even fucked the scan department around so I was getting two different stories there as well

They made us wait an hour for the referral letter so eventually I took Nia and Izy to the car and I think DH kicked off. The ward was empty I can't imagine how they get things done when its full

You don't bug us at all, Nutts.

Now rant alert. So here I am, first period since Felix. World also apparently falling out of my bottom. Have to go to the loo every 30 minutes. Terrible state. No sleep because I was having to do that all night. Ibuprofen quick fix to suppress bleeding not working. Feel like death.

So what does DH do? 24 hours ago he announced he had organised a conference in London and had to be there. He allegedly told me ages ago. I recall he did indeed tell me theoretically about a putative conference, but neglected to mention the date.

So DS1 had Saturday school and there are engineering works, so I did the 60 mile round trip to drop him off, leaving the house at 8.

Quick stop at home to clean up and feed small people. Smallest person usually has a nap at this time, but no nap today as we are perpetually in transit.

I then went 8 miles in the other direction to drop DS2 off at choir. DS3 starts screaming at this point and doesn't stop for a couple of hours.

I then crossed town, struggled to find a parking space, and went to John Lewis to get a new buggy as ours is broken. Two clean ups while out. Two feedings of a small person, and a yukky nappy change as well.

I then went back to pick up DS2. Another clean up. Luckily suddenly DS1 got an invitation to a friend's house for after school so I didn't have to then do 38 miles to the school to get him, and I would have been late, anyway.

Another clean up at home - as much washing now as when I had Felix - and DS rings to say he will be back after 3.30 sometime.

And get this - I HAVE NOW EVEN HAD TO CANCEL MY HAIR APPOINTMENT AT 2.30!!!!! AND I CAN'T GET ANOTHER ONE FOR AT LEAST A FORTNIGHT!!!! AND THEN I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE GOING TO A CHARITY FUNDRAISER AFTER THAT BUT I WILL BE TOO KNACKERED!!!

That man is so in trouble. I informed him he was picking up DS1 later or else. DS2 suggested Daddy should be punished, and a suitable method might be to ban him from listening to the radio! LOL!

I am so tired I can't decide whether to MN or to cry or to sleep ....

B52s · 26/09/2009 14:21

Now I have to remind DH of birthdays but I think he knows when our two were born. Offloading on heere is great - we really seem to care about a bunch of strangers who randomly had babies around the same time. Spirit of MN I guess.

What happened with Spring's marriage? She still fighting? I should know, I missed a couple of whole threads recently.

I have nicknamed Sam 'Gimpy'. Don't know why, it just kind of suits him. Is that bad?

BoffinMum · 26/09/2009 14:23

It is quite shocking he didn't make a note of the date. But if blokes were in charge of celebrations Hallmark would surely go out of business?

BoffinMum · 26/09/2009 15:31

DH now home and making helpful sympathetic noises. Has offered to go to pharmacy for supplies to help Battle of the Somme taking place in my nether regions, and collect new pushchair and take DS 2 out and pick up DS1 later.

But it is still all his fault as he got me pg in the first place. He can't win.

BoffinMum · 26/09/2009 15:32

BoffinMum · 26/09/2009 15:33

I could do with Mr Brosnan now. I would suggest a threesome Nutts, but it would be a bit messy.

Nah Nutty. Not even if you paid me for it.

Poo (literally) for bugs and useless DHs. I have a feeling my own DH sometimes asks me when HIS birthday is

Guimauve · 26/09/2009 18:45

You want to do bad things with him, dontcha Nutts?

Been out walking. Knackered. Possibly sunburnt.

Hmmmm... no thanks. I think I don't do vampires They all look so young. That makes me old of course I do feel about 50 today.

So because of DH's silly rowing regattas that mess up my weekends, I have demanded a day 'off' tomorrow. I'll still have to feed Hazel obviously, and probably give her her medicine, but other than that I am planning a lie-in, a long bath, a pedicure, a swim, an hour or two with a magazine, maybe a snooze... I hope he'll realise what hard work it is to look after two dcs all day!
