I hope that this will do you all as the last thread ran out.

Let the fun and chocolate eating commence...

Oh, FFS, my baby is still awake and buzzing, and it is now 10:15pm. I've been trying to get him to sleep for 2 hours and have given up and brought him downstairs, where he is doing gym on his playmat. How wrong is that???

AuldAlliance · 26/09/2009 21:19

Nutty, that bloke doesn nothing for me. Must be getting old. He looks a bit fey to me. But what do I know? I can't even get a 5 month old baby to sleep, never mind judge male talent.

BabyBolat · 27/09/2009 11:23

Hello - quick catch up x

Frekkles - What a ridiculous woman - ignore her please!
I have been back at work for months and my milk supply isn't affected - stupid woman for saying that and it has done a lot for my state of mind let me tell you so I think DS is happier because I am.

Gimuave I am with you on the post-6 months night feeds - K is never going to give up on these.

Bronze, hope Nia is OK

Boff, K sings himself to sleep - tis lovely x

Feiera - good news that it's not long-term x hope all clearsup x

Springy ow ow ow ow ow ow ow- I would refuse to give birth!

Nutty yay! Chris = wankstain. Enough said.
Um I'm with the others on the man - he has a weird face shape!

Boff, has DH been suitably punished?

Sorry ifI have missed anything

Quick me post

  • Just back off holiday to visit the family again spent just over a week their, in which time I have broken my foot falling down a flight of stairs and K was rushed to hospital with a 104 fever and floppiness. (thank god for travel insurance!) Was horrific being their all day but it seems he had a bad reaction to a viral infection (he now has a 60-year old's smokers cough!). Everyone seems to be doing OK. K is still very lathargic but better (I knew he was poorly as he didn't smile or hit anything all day all he wanted to do was cuddle - not my baby at all!) and is feeding like a demon so I am back to my days as daisy xx

Right off to hobble to the toilet x

Nutty - he went to sleep at 10:45pm but slept soundly until 6:30am, so I feel more rested than when he wakes me up 3 times a night.

BB, nice to see you, sorry about all the trauma.

BabyBolat · 27/09/2009 13:22

nutts what did the dr say about the injections making you feel worse?

I'm getting really pissed off on another thread atm. Do you ever wish that you never bothered to open your mouth as things would just be simpler if you hadn't? I'm so that people are judging me without knowing the full story. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Here. But don't go and tell them what for. It's such a stupid insignificant thing. I'm more pissed off with how people have reacted to my comment than anything else. Just because I don't have the time to explain at length about how my CM's DD is a little bully who bites and tries to kick babies down stairs if they get in her way doesn't mean that I shouldn't be telling DD to not behave like the CM's DD.

I find MN (obviously with the exception of some lovely threads!!!) is a very judgy place though Swali x

Swaliswan · 27/09/2009 21:57

BB, you've made me want to cry by backing me up on the other thread.

Swaliswan · 27/09/2009 22:00

Where's Springy? With BB and Nutty around now, we need Springy to complete the set!

BB, just being nosey...What do you do for a job? I wondered the other day because you seem to have been the last person to stop work and the first person to start again.

BabyBolat · 27/09/2009 22:09

No worries lovely - some people do just jump on things without thinking through both sides and it makes me a bit cross, you weren't attacking them just having an opinion based on valid experiences! x

I work in PR in an agency and head up some of our corporate accounts. I genuinely really enjoy working - it drives me round the twist sometimes as it is pretty manic but I just enjoy 'working' - I could be doing anything (within reason), I like the challenge and commitment to something - felt a bit lost without it while on mat leave. I wont admit how soon I really went back to work it was pretty early - but then I have the support network here and at work to do it x

BabyBolat · 27/09/2009 22:12

Sorry just realised how bad that post sounded to non-working mothers - please don't think I am saying that's not equally as important and challenging!

BabyBolat · 27/09/2009 22:13

OMG Nutts, I missed the Dr Love comment! brilliant, do you say his name with a shmooze, 'hey doctor luuuuuurve'??? Brilliant. I would laugh every time I said it x

SpringySponge · 27/09/2009 22:17

I'm here! But unable to commit to catching up right now.

I mostly wanted to see the sight of Nutty being online again

I had a really weird Fanjo Warrior dream last night. With BB, Nutty, Puzzle, LuLu & Boff. If any of you feel left out, you shouldn't - we all ended up getting really badly injured by people throwing things at us across a pub & one of us nearly died! It was really strange.

I know what you mean BB - uni starts back properly tomorrow & I can't wait! Yay! I actually find non-baby things less challenging than dealing with him 24/7 as I have done so far. I'm far too impatient & lazy

BabyBolat · 27/09/2009 22:24

I know I think children are harder than work - at least at work I can concentrate on budgets or proposals but at home I just get a bit lost!!!

Was I the one that really died - just wanted to clarify? and were we getting things thrown at us because of Nutty's smut?

SpringySponge · 27/09/2009 22:31

No, you weren't. But I'm not going to say who it was, because I don't want anyone to think that I'm jinxing them or anything. They got better anyway - & then we all went out partying in pretty dresses to celebrate, so it was okay

& I don't remember why we had things thrown at us. It started off being bits of food, then escalated into coins & ended up being cutlery & furniture & pretty much anything else they could find. It was a bit confusing.

Nutty does tend to get you into all kinds of awkward social situations, though. That end up with you having to run up the road to escape from desperate men. It's the raw sex appeal - it's dangerous!

BabyBolat · 27/09/2009 22:34

Oh good because honestly I don't think it would be fair with me - what with two hospital trips already this week!

hmmm I knew that nutts was trouble the second she joined this thread!!!

Swali - are you based in Southampton?

BabyBolat · 27/09/2009 22:35

...not that it is fair for anyone to nearly die of course, but right now, especially me.
