DH had it done for me - they printed her finger into some silver putty then cut out the shape and fired it and it turned into silver - magic I think

ALBS - I have a little glow in the dark rosary, we were all given them on a school trip incase we got lost and needed to pray. We were in a holiday camp in the middle of a massive school gathering and the gates were all manned but rather fierce nuns and brothers. We were going no where in a hurry never mind the dark! I am the queen of catholic tat

Glow in the dark rosaries. Way cool. I may have to indulge in a bit of

Well, she it is safe to say my dear friend is not rocking the vatican look in an ironic way. I'm suspecting it was a present from her brother who is a priest and was in Italy on holiday.

AIBU to find a Benedict one offensive when a JP2 one would have touched my hardened heart?

She is a wonderful woman with a great gift for enjoying every moment. And her little boy who has the Aspie tendencies is soooo much happier this year. Now the school routine is his routine there is more space for him to be himself.

Ooops that cake looks amazing. What is the sugercraft course you are starting?

RedLentil · 15/09/2009 21:45

Rofl at 'holy crap' ...

Do you think TS can see everything like one of those sacred heart pictures?

oopsacoconut · 15/09/2009 21:47

I am just doing a local college one for the moment and then one at a local cake shop just before christmas. No, I think I would have found a JP2 on okay but not sure about a Benedict one either. Although if someone gave it to me I would feel obliged to use it for a while until I thought they ahd stopped noticing or could use the oops it broke excuse.

LOL!!! Glad I could be part of the conversation without realizing I was being part of the conversation. And Red, you've seen my recent facebook profile pic.....is that sacred heart enough for ya?? I SEE ALL I KNOW ALL ha ha ha ha ha

(figured i had to underline since BOLD is out of the question)

Girls are running wild and I should be cooking dinner. Rephrase that, Girls are running wild and dinner should be on the table. Bought some time with an apple. Reese is happy as a lark if you give her a whole apple to devour. DD1 hasn't requested food just yet so I have a little more time.

Miamla are you feeling better today? Has the hobbling?? Tossed the crutches out the window yet???

Longway, I've got to go add you to my Skype account so we can have a proper meet-up and I can check out the baby bump.

UPDATE: Reese is doing very good at Mom's Day Out. She's not cried at all recently. DD1 on the other hand cried again today at school. I met her for lunch (good gracious the lunch room is LOUD) before noon and spoke briefly with her teacher about the crying. Seems it may be her perfectionistic nature that's causing the crying. All crying episodes have started during a detail oriented project: drawing lines, making a self portrait, coloring. The teacher said otherwise she's an absolute star and is being grouped to begin the accelerated reading track because she is only one of about 4 in her kindergarten class that can actually READ...and READ WELL (for 5 yrs old mind you). ANYWAY....life is less than a breeze but not too difficult.

oh and Sazz/VG, Dublin dates are now confirmed for Sun 11th to Wed 14th - its only 2 full days which is pants as Sun arrive in at about 4pm and Wed leaving at 09:30 flight but was best I could do - still cost me £168 to change the cheapy flights over

VG would be fantastic to see you but appreciate am not giving you much of a window with such a short visit - let me know what you think

SKYTVADDICT · 16/09/2009 08:50

Help - Lewis had his MMR yesterday - anyone else had theirs yet?

He was up in the night, had nurofen for temperature and is still asleep in bed now. Very unusual for him. He feels hot to touch but otherwise not restless, just sleeping.

I am sure it is normal but need reassurance?

Thanks. L had his in his arms (had the other one too). He is still asleep so I don't know his temp yet. Feeling like a very bad mother as I don't even have the leaflet! Shouldn't be so gung ho I suppose - note to self - even though L is DC4 he may be different to the others!

DD2 has also had to be brought home from school (by my dad) as she has been sick in the toilets.

A fun day ahead for me I suspect!

sambo303 · 16/09/2009 13:34

quickly sneaking on at work, hello!! I miss ds today but have managed to avoid doing anything too strenuous so far workwise.

albs rest assured you are not alone whacking ds on the boob, I often think about shush pat and what have you but it's easier just to bf and get back to bed. Now I'm at work obviously we're not bfing in the day but when i get in at 6 ds drinks about a gallon of bm - v sweet.

off to move papers around my desk

ps not much holy crap in my house apart from a jesus on wheels desk toy which i may bequeath to ds if he plays his cards right

alittlebitshy · 16/09/2009 13:36

we have lots of "holy crap" here. dh loves it. We have a Jesus in a snowstorm; jesus plasters; we have a jesus blessing our house piccy above ourloo (ironic pressie when we moved in). what else? oh, a wind up nun, jesus action figure.......
