Sazzles has it right, TS. You are, as they say here, some woman for one woman.

Fab news on more time with the girls too Sazz. That is wonderful.

Buckets-you must be popping with pride re. DS settling in so well. Glad to hear that things are less tricky for DD too.

That throat thing sounds like the vile strep throat bug I had for a few days in August (though I really hope it isn't). Have you any antiseptic throat spray?

TS agree with what Sazz said about your mother being an amazing woman. I'm absolutely certain that your mum would be so proud of who and what you are and everything you achieve

cyteen.. i don't know what to say, the others have already said it so eloquently but agree with Sazz about sitting down with her over a glass or two to share some happy memories

actually, i'll just put a ditto after Sazz's post to save my fingers from typing it all again!

Can I take the chance then to report that the fact that my best friend here has acquired a Pope Benedict Keyring?

I saw it half-way through last night's meeting and was alternating and for a good five minutes

oopsacoconut · 15/09/2009 21:21

ooh what do you all think of this for a cake for my sister's 18th? her theme is movies, I plan to print pictures of her growing up onto icing sheets then stick them in the grey bits of the film.

Can't type with snoozing but not sleeping DD2 on my knee.

Man Utd ruling here too tonight.
The lads were playing football here today and DD1 sorted teams by playing for 'U' while DS played for ''nited'. They also took DD2 on her first 'adventure'.

oopsacoconut · 15/09/2009 21:24

I want a Pope key ring too to add to the rest of the ridiculous religious paraphenalia my mother has brought me back from all over the world. My favorite of which is a glow in the dark statue of The Holy Mother, yes the words The Holy Mother glow too just enough to scare the hell out of DH the first time he stayed over. My mother is the queen of TAT!

The best Catholic tat ever (imho) was a pressie we got for dh's colleagues from our honeymoon. GIANT glow in the dark rosaries! amazing!! The man gave us a rather bizarre look, especially when we asked for 3!!!!!

Had to stop. I'm tired of constant motion!!

Sazzles/Red you're kind. I do look just like her it's just hard to hear. Hell my great-grandmother thought I was her at HER funeral. Very bizzare moment really for a lady with full mental abilities.

Oh and Sazzles that is wonderful news about the break till January. Means you have time to come back for another visit. November?? Maybe Jacksonville this time...play in the Atlantic, go to the zoo, drive down to see a shuttle launch, maybe drive back up to Savannah for tea.

Captain, I must admit to having a pressure gate as well. We had the other type on DD1's bedroom for most of her little years (removed the regular door). It was more to keep the cat out than the kid in. We still have about three sets of holes on the frame (disclaimer: i did not install it).

I think I need chocolate. Anyone else?? I think I have some stashed in the kitchen.
