AA_ I remember crying when knockin over some ebm. Its more precious than gold

We've just been swimming again and Idunked Izy twice. He wasn't impressed though he didn't cry. I think I'll give hima week off from going under next week as I'm trying to make no associations.

DD- has got a huge lump on her neck sow e went to the gp. I suspect its a cyst but we've been referred to the hospital and thats on thursday rather than the 3 months you would normally have to wait. The fact they got it through so quickly has made me nervous

dawntigga · 14/09/2009 13:08

Auld am much preferring tubbytub Passes chocolate for spilled ebm

BTW don't ask how I know but if you put Immac (or whatever it is called this week) in his shampoo it doesn't do much at first but eventually it will go brittle and fall out

Ginger that does sound like a lot of tiredness. That said, I think it's almost impossible to overstate how tired having a baby can occasionally make you. If you can bounce back from it with a little break, I'd say it was par for the course. If you struggle ever to surface then excessive.

It is possible to go back to work formula free if you have a good eating baby, but you would end up with a baby who makes up for lost time whenever she sees you (possibly even wakes up all night to feed) By that stage she will be having cows milk on cereal, cheese, yogurt etc. so formula is neither here nor there really anyway (just expensive). And this is from me, a crazy extended BFer.

Auld that is terrible about the spilt milk. I hope the vitamins etc. give you the energy to keep going.

ing because I actually have a strip of vitamins left over from pg and I can't face taking them somehow. Too many memories of pg? Plain lethargy?? They do no good in the pack though...

Okay, sorry ladies, I was trying not to have a rant, but am too cross to face the dishwasher right now. Have just dropped DS1 off at nursery and had to listen at length to another mum going on and on about how tired she is. She knows that I spent this week in hospital dealing with a very poorly E, BFing him constantly when he was so wired up I couldn't hold him so had to lean standing up into his hospital bed, and am still getting no sleep, but no, I have to feel sorry for her. Despite the fact her mother is there at her house right now cooking for her and will then take her children away overnight which she does every week!!

As you were.

mrsgboring · 14/09/2009 13:31

Oh Bronze I meant to say {hugs} to you about your DD's appointment. It is purely a good thing that they're dealing with it so fast, but can totally see why you're worried.

bronze · 14/09/2009 13:57

Hows E today?

mrsgboring · 14/09/2009 14:06

He's fine, thanks Bron - a bit restless and can't settle to anything (this nap is the first since 4am!!) but he may just be teething Sufficiently recovered to be bored with doing nothing, but not really well enough to do that much yet. I am a gibbering heap of guilt about all my maternal failings, but realistically he's fine, DS1's fine, I and DH are fine and it's all pretty minor in the scheme of things.

bebemoo · 14/09/2009 15:45

Afternoon ladies
Just got Moo to go down for a nap...she's been up since 11 and basically squawking the whole time...I suppose it's probably the next tooth coming in... does this go on until they're all in? How long is it supposed to take? It does my head in the constant whine.

Still not right with taking these iron pills...has anyone else taken iron? am I doing something wrong? I take them on a full stomach or with a meal (depending when exactly I remember them) and with some smoothy or juice. But I'm always feeling sick it seems and light headed...I was going to give it a week (which it has been) but I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something before I made another appointment at the gp... they're going to think I'm nuts; I'm in there all the time...

bebemoo · 14/09/2009 15:46

Glad E's relatively ok MrsGB I was thinking of you all the while I've been away.

bebemoo · 14/09/2009 15:48

Oh dear Bronze... hope everything in ok with dd

gingersarah · 14/09/2009 18:13

Bronze - try not to worry too much, all the best for dd.

Auld - the clothes are naff because I already possess them - why, I don't know but something made me acquire them all at some time. I was just going through the wardrobe thinking about having a clear out. Just thinking, mind, don't want to rush into anything.

Have just noticed (on the needles packet) that darn is "repriser". I like the thought of reprising well loved old garments, like a refrain in a song.

dawntigga · 14/09/2009 18:37

Passes the Immac to mrsg

RunningOffGigglingDon'tAskAboutSemtexTamponsTiggaxx

AuldAlliance · 14/09/2009 19:19

Tigga, I am bemused by this Immac attack suggestion. Are you proposing that I render my DH bald in retaliation for the spilt milk? Not sure I fancy him going bald quite yet! And I am indeed not asking about semtex tampons.

Ginger, that's OK then, I had a vision of you trailing round shops with V in tow, glumly trying on naff clothes. I put lots of clothes in the charity bin when we moved house and it was very cleansing. Don't rush, but do ditch anything overly naff, it'll do you a power of good.

Daring is indeed "repriser". I once darned a lot, when I was in sixth year and then at university. I wore some dearly beloved jumpers to shreds (including a really soft cashmere cardigan that had belonged to my granddad, which I wore to do homework in my draughty bedroom and whose cuffs I darned and re-darned countless times). The idea of having time to darn things is a bit mind-blowing now.

Bronze, I'm sure the lump is nothing, but can see why you are worrying. Sending positive vibes...

gingersarah · 14/09/2009 19:24

oh yes, couch to 5k

Swaliswan · 15/09/2009 11:00

AuldAlliance · 15/09/2009 11:40

dawntigga · 15/09/2009 12:33

I noticed you not asking

KeepingQuietTiggaxx

AuldAlliance · 15/09/2009 12:37

Go on then, Tigga, spill the beans. Maybe the lure of semtex tampons will get everyone crawling out of the woodwork...

AuldAlliance · 15/09/2009 13:25

Rachel, you're not lurking are you?

Poor TrinityRhino is looking for someone to have wine and chat with. She's in Gretna....

BoffinMum · 15/09/2009 13:31

Had a bit of an incident at work - stopped for lunch and then remembered I had to pump off a few pints because they had been filling up for five hours. Got extreme let down, and it went all down my top on the other side from the pump. Whoops. Seeing boss later today.

Then I remembered that I had bought a pair of British Airways First Class PJs at a school fete off the bric a brac stall, and put them in my office in case I got stranded overnight whilst pg - they are about size 26 from the look of them. Put PJ top on, rolled up sleeves artistically, tucked into skirt (top practically reaches to my knees) and put jacket back on to hide BA logo - sorted!!!

I am da Boff!

I did frighten the cleaner though when he came in to empty my bin, while all this was going on.

AuldAlliance · 15/09/2009 14:30

Shit, Boff, you have reminded me I must go and pump before doing the school run!!!

Excellent story.
Photos, please?
