There will be chocolate fines for the guilty!

Feira- hopefully things are settled now. Sometimes lately I just pop Moo on the breast to shut her up so I get a little peace...

dawntigga · 04/09/2009 14:45

jj Warrington Ikea has them in stock - and they have different colour chairs as well

bebemoo · 04/09/2009 15:00

How much would you pay for a pair of shoes you may only wear once?

Guimauve · 04/09/2009 15:06

Well I paid a ridiculous amount for my wedding shoes, but then I have worn them twice now! I had every intention of wearing them often...

My Antilop is red. And I got a big bag of Daim! I'd go to Ikea just for the Daim, in fact!

hmmm..good point

I'm trying to decide abt shoes to go with my dress... I keep finding £50-£80 ones I like... but since they're red I'm not sure I'd end up wearing them that often (most of my clothes are neutral or blues)

Guimauve · 04/09/2009 15:29

Have you tried Amazon? These are red, 50s-ish, not too expensive and perhaps a little slutty!

It's times like these that you need The Nutster. She's an internet shopping maven.

bebemoo · 04/09/2009 15:41

yeah i know...nutty is great at this
i need them sunday too...i'd be afraid they wouldn't fit...

bebemoo · 04/09/2009 15:46

these are in bristol...so would cost me petrol and bridge fare...

Guimauve · 04/09/2009 16:31

They are nice, I love that heel shape, and a bargain too! Plus, you could easily wear those again with many different things.

OP posts:
bebemoo · 04/09/2009 16:44

i think i like them better than the expensive ones i've seen too

WhatFreshHellIsThis · 04/09/2009 16:51

bebemoo I can pick them up for you in Bristol if you want, and post them? Or pop in for a cup of tea if you're coming over.

dawntigga · 04/09/2009 17:48

Anyone else looked at their pre-pregnancy shoes and decided they hate them? I find I hate most of my clothes tbh, not just the maternity wear!

I prefer the Mary Jane court shoe

bebemoo · 04/09/2009 17:48

Well I was on my way to get the shoes.... and then at Newport Moo started screaming SCREAMING! so I stopped at Magor to try to calm her down and figure out what the trouble was (she usually is a sleep within minutes in the car) couldn't figure it out. She wouldn't calm down. I looked her all over and changed her nappy and walked around with her in the car park (people must have thought I was nuts) and she wouldn't stop screaming...
So we're home and she screamed until I put her down on my bed... now she's smiling and jabbering away

bebemoo · 04/09/2009 17:50

I'm going to try to convince dh to go with me tomorrow and we'll do some shopping
Thanks for the offer WFH

bebemoo · 04/09/2009 17:55

I liked my maternity clothes in the end...I didn't like the things that were 'hand me downs' but I did like the things that I bought (I shopped at jojomamanbebe warehouse store).

Speaking of which those of you nearish...the warehouse is having a clearance this weekend. You might want to have a wander over to Newport and wade through the hormones to find a bargain.

bebemoo · 04/09/2009 17:57

Let me rephrase that one post ... Dh and I will be in Bristol tomorrow doing some shopping ;) I want those shoes...

Feierabend · 04/09/2009 20:13

Bebe meat TWICE a day!

I am having cake twice a day.

Eczema getting worse fast

DH just mentioned in passing that he thinks he may have swine flu. This is the evening before we go on holidays. I exploded, then asked what made him say that and it turns out he's got a SORE THROAT. Yes I have a sore throat too. So what? I've had it all summer! No need to scare the hell out of me is there?

WhatFreshHellIsThis · 04/09/2009 20:17

Good evening. Just had to take Orbit out for a long walk in the buggy to get him to sleep - he has been fractious and hard work all day, I think it's the second tooth, which is still bulging ominously but not cutting through yet.

Lie down? Cries. Sit up? Cries. Pick up for a cuddle? Cries and twists round in my arms like a wild animal, flailing fists around. Put him in bed? Screams house down.

Joy.

Feier tell your DH to suck a Strepsil and to be quiet

Am going to make DP cook me lamb burgers and chips, and have a large glass of wine.

Bicnod · 04/09/2009 20:26

So we've all got screamy babies at the moment... at least we're not alone...

Big hugs to all with fractious screechy ones (and to those with nice babies)

I'm off to bed

BoffinMum · 04/09/2009 20:37

Gui, you can have it if you like. Just send me your address to boffinmum at hotmail dot co dot uk and I will post it.

WFH DS1 had a fabulous time, is still being fastidious about his personal hygiene and hair styling and loves that school. It is so nice to be able to send him there after enduring the nuts one. He spends the time after school strutting around in his blazer for the local girls, who gather around him in excitement. I don't think he really appreciates the effect he has on women.

Bebe, that is AWFUL about the mistyping! I would make a formal complaint.

AuldAlliance · 04/09/2009 20:40

Feier: have you seen this?

WFH, that sounds like DS1. You have all my sympathy. Enjoy the wine.

I am off to bed at just after 9:30pm! Alex woke up and wanted to chat and play from 4am until 6am when I got up and pushed him in the pram to the bakers and he crashed out. Not the best start to my first day back at work.

BoffinMum · 04/09/2009 20:45

Bebe, really do eat the meat. This scenario appears in the GP examinations and the importance of good nutrition can't be understated.

bebemoo · 04/09/2009 20:51

feel rather alone... locked in a cell of crying and screeching and nothing being good enough
where is my husband?! i have yet to eat and i'm starving and i cannot put her down or take her off te breast with horrible painful sounds issuing forth... no wonder i have low iron and feel like shit

Feierabend · 04/09/2009 20:52

Auld but luckily DH is not the type who suffers openly

How was your first day back at work?

So we're off on holiday. Don't post too much while we're away or I'll never manage to catch up! Will miss you all.
