We needed a new thread. It took blardy ages to load.

Now where are you Scoot?

at the idea of a number 4.

Thank goodness the pooch is better, my MN is still not better what's that all about then?

Tis my gorgeous dd's 8th birthday today, where does the time go? We had a party with 2 horses, a treasure hunt and a camping sleepover for 8 yesterday. Given that we are in full rainy season it was a miracle the heavens didn't open. Phew. Today we all have post party fatigue syndrome.

Good luck to dd Sky with her braces.

at B with a raisin up his nose. It was hellish last night trying to stop J from grabbing a sparkler from the other kids.

SKYTVADDICT · 01/11/2009 18:58

Oh dear - we haven't had anything up the nose - yet! I mean the kids anyway

DD1 was very brave and had two extremely large teeth with roots out - and has to have another two in two weeks!

Hope you had a lovely spa day PJ, TSM and CM.

Your party sounds lovely TMAM and Happy Birthday to DD

largeginandtonic · 03/11/2009 09:46

Happy belated birthday D!!! Hope the party recovery went well.

Parties are a nightmare, i have H in January next. He will want some soft play hell party i just know it.

Sky how is dd now? Feeling better?

I am on a diet. 3 weeks till dh returns and i have just ordered a ball dress in a 12. Two incentives. I also spent last week with mil buying a size 20. Now that is incentive.

Where is TYG? Next thread title devoted to her. It bought back Scoot.

How are all the bumps. I am hoping there are no Kai Waynes on your lists... i mean fgs. Poor lad. Let'shope he looks like his Mum

Was going to link it but it has vanished. Maybe i had the last one! It's turquoise.

Holidays nearly over, I'm counting down the days....Aghhhh My kids are a nightmare, I have decided. Not sure what I can do about it. The've even learnt to pick the lock on the cupboard door.

Good Luck with the diet lg&t, it's such a pain in the arse. I'd love to be a stick thin eat what you want girl but sadly I only need to look at a calorie and it attacks my hips. Getting there though and had lots of lovely compliments saturday night at a demo. I had to buy new black jeans Sat am and the rest of the day consisted of Mum altering my costumes so I didn't look like is was wearing various styled tents all evening. Feels good when it starts shifting.
I may be able to swing from those chandeleirs one day.

Yes where is TYG. and SOH again? She only posts when I'm AWOL, I've noted it. Infact everyones pretty quiet.

Pinkjenny · 03/11/2009 10:13

Kai is such a dreadful name, it just reminds me of Daniella Westbrook, which is never good. I really expected more from Coleen, not sure why though...

Is everyone sulking because Tils, CM and I went to the spa? Twas fab, we had a lovely chat in the pool, then a light lunch, went off for our treatments, and then CM and I went on a cake-finding mission! CM is so lovely, as you all know, and Tils is every bit as friendly and gorgeous as you would imagine.

I am sooo constipated, and sooooo sore because of it. TMI?

Moijaimelacountry · 03/11/2009 10:29

Apricots, weetabix, orange juice, shag? never TMI here.

Pinkjenny · 03/11/2009 10:35

Perhaps not the shag.

Themasterandmargaritas · 03/11/2009 10:45

Apricots over the shag anyday.

Moijaimelacountry · 03/11/2009 10:54

I agree! Shag

largeginandtonic · 03/11/2009 11:50

A shag!!! Surely not.

I was ignoring the fact you had been to the Spa

It sounds fab. I could do with a trip to the spa, or just to the supermarket alone would be a start

MrsJB what do you mean? Are they naughtier than usual? Different tactics?

Well done on the weight loss. It is easier when you suddenly see the results, it spurs you on i find. The dancing must help. I need to do some exercise but when?

So....the dress arrived. I CAN get it on, with help Had to SOS my neighbour. It has one of those ridiculous zips up the side. I can breathe in it but just feel another half stone will make it look a bit better.

Half a stone in 3 weeks is easy right?

They are just hectic lg&t, bored proabably but I just can't manage the whole messy play, or lets do something together thing.... I was not built to entertain annoying criters delighful offspring. I think tbh, it's the whole winter to summer change, they are not used to having to be inside, there really is NOTHING to do here when the weather is miserable. We all get under each others feet, the heat rises and the kids take the brunt of it. M & J stick to each other like glue and sometimes play very nicely but seem to egg each other on to be trouble most of the time. I can't seem to get anything done with them here and anything I do do they normally undo just as quick. I just wish they'd do as they were told the first time and not only once they've been threatened, sent to their bedroom or sat on the stairs. Most of all I wish they'd be nice to each other. Harrison can not stand the sight of Maddie and it causes alot unnecessarry arguments because he is being unrreasonable even when she is being kind.

Look you've got me started now....

I want angels, polite, kind, loving and fun..... not whingy, argumentative brats.
Please tell me I am not alone.

Tillyscoutsmum · 03/11/2009 12:19

A shag ?! Can't see how that's going to help (unless we're talking "popular Friday night MN topic" type of shag ? ). Either way - just no. Lactulose is what you need. I get through bottles of the stuff (the joys of iron tablets ).

LG&T - I'm a big WW advocate. I lost 2 stone for my wedding last year and it was really quite easy (and I do love my grub !). You can join online so don't have to do the meetings etc.

TMAM - party sounds fab. Happy belated b'day to your dd.

I've just got a serious case of the "can't be arseds" at the moment. I've got so much to do to get ready for baby boy and christmas and dsd's b'day and various other things and most days, I'm doing well to get out of my PJ's, never mind anything more constructive . Our spa day was fab though and PJ and CM are lovely. I could just do with a spa "month" I think.

Pinkjenny · 03/11/2009 12:19

Would it help if I told you that L's behaviour has had me in tears twice this weekend? Obstinate, awkward, difficult, all words that spring to mind. And I've only got her!

Tillyscoutsmum · 03/11/2009 12:22

Sorry MrsJB - x posts No advice - I am a mere amateur - but I suspect you are not alone. Tils does nothing I ask first time. I often think I'm just talking in my head and then I get all fishwife and yell at her and she cries and I feel shit.

Pinkjenny · 03/11/2009 12:31

I agree, it's

this too shall pass

Moijaimelacountry · 03/11/2009 12:37

Honestly... Jorja was/is the easiest it's the other two, and now J is copying them and becoming horrible too. I'm slightly glad I'm not on my own but feel sorry you guys are feeling it too. I know we say this all the time but shit LG&T just how do you do it? Do you feel like you are banging against a wall most of the time when you ask them to help or to go and get dressed or to find their shoes or to leave each other alone. What tatics do you use? (Gin is not a construtive answer either)

Moijaimelacountry · 03/11/2009 12:38

Tils I think I'll join you WTF club.... is there an initiation or can't we be arsed with that either?

Moijaimelacountry · 03/11/2009 12:41

Are we feeling sea sick yet? When is Dday girls, remind me please.

Moijaimelacountry · 03/11/2009 12:45

lg&t, I forgot, 7lbs in 3 weeks.... not easy but easily do able, you'll have to be good though, limit your bread/fibre, carb intake, cut out crappy fats and sugar where possible and definatly NO alcohol. EASY!!

Pinkjenny · 03/11/2009 13:03

I have my CS booked for 29th Dec

I am grinning in a slightly manic fashion atm.

Themasterandmargaritas · 03/11/2009 13:21

MrsJB, mine are often horrendous. Last week in the bath it was the worst parenting moment of my life. 'Don't fight' I said, I went out to lie down get their rooms ready and then yell yell yell. I yanked ds1 out of the bath so fast he slipped and banged his head dd was sent to bed straight away and J, who actually didn't do anything wrong was so distraught by all the noise he wouldn't stop wailing. They got no TV for 3 days.

As I type dd yelling at J, 'leave me alone' whack whack thump.

You are not alone. At least I can escape. I have no idea how LG*T does it. No idea.

Now, you must find me a link to the dress, somehow.

at you girls with your pampering.

Tillyscoutsmum · 03/11/2009 13:25

15th December for me - unless he's looking like a whopper at my growth scan in a few weeks, in which case, I may bottle it and be induced early

Not sure I can be arsed with initiation to the WTF club - unless it involves duvets and chocolate ? Thank fuck for Nick Jr needs to be the motto though

FreeTheGuidoOne · 03/11/2009 13:40

7lbs in 3 weeks is not only manageable but sensible. Bugger dieting though. Run up and down the stairs. You have enough of them.

And shagging? All a bit Austin Powers on here.

Moijaimelacountry · 03/11/2009 13:58

Austin Powers baby! Whats the all round MN word then? do tell.

TMAM, sounds like a regular bath time here. I am seeing the benefit of an only child now tbh. No TV for 3 days What did they you do?

The moto is great Tils although it would have to be tiny pop in this house, can't afford Nick Jr, haha Duvets and chocolate can be done.

Stairs sound the way to go lg&t, although I'm sure you go up and down them enough all day. Mine are getting stair excersise atm, every time they get banished to their rooms!

Moijaimelacountry · 03/11/2009 14:04

I must add, that by benefits of one I don't mean it's any easier but at least they can't beat the shit out of their sibling for threatening to pop a ballon or looking in the wrong direction.

"he did this"
"she did that"
MUMMMMMMMM
"she's such a pain"
"MUUUUUUUm"
"He's so horrible"

All the time.
