Where is everyone today? Dh and I are going to pick our new cars up tonight, and we are very excited. I've got a Honda CRV, and he has a Fiat Punto, so he's marginally less excited than me!

He just leaves it at the station all day anyway!

Sleep has gone totally off the rails. She is back in bed with us. Round 2 at the weekend when I can be arsed am feeling more up to it. TMAM - I almost certainly will end up in bed with her. I did make an effort to keep getting back in my own bed on Saturday night though. But well, you know what I'm like when she's ill. There was just no way I could have managed without her with me, I wouldn't have got any sleep anyway. But now her bedroom is done, I will crack back on at the weekend. I do know it's something I need to do. It's much harder in a different way than I expected - I thought I'd be worrying about the tears and tantrums, but actually I was, and am, just really sad to be without her at night. Dh despairs of me, I think.

I have nothing else to report, really.

I always wonder whether I am missing out a bit by not experiencing natural childbirth. I am happy to remain in ignorance though, I think.

Pinkjenny · 28/10/2009 15:45

Lots of thinking in that post

Tillyscoutsmum · 28/10/2009 15:56

PJ - you sound like you're doing well with the sleep thing. There's no point trying to implement any big changes whilst A is not feeling completely well. You'll get there

By the way - we need to compare notes and make sure we're not bidding on the same close carriers on ebay. I keep getting outbid - they seem to go for a bloody fortune

Pinkjenny · 28/10/2009 16:07

I am still not sure if they're a bit tree-huggerish for me I tried a sling on in John Lewis and I thought my mum would never stop laughing.

A is still such a velcro child though, I think a sling is going to be essential.

Themasterandmargaritas · 28/10/2009 16:11

What's a close carrier?

I think Pink, that when you are totally ready for A to be on her own in her own bed you will do it. And I bet it happens overnight too, literally.

Are the cars new new? If so I just love that smell they have....unlike ours that smells like some damp sewer. I like a Honda CRV, quite a few of them around here, they cope with the potholes well, I'm sure that reassures you.

Pinkjenny · 28/10/2009 16:16

No, unfortunately not new new, both 4 years old. I love the new car smell too, but I do not love the new car negative equity.

I think you are right TMAM, I also take your point about my relationship with dh. I just miss her so much! Pathetic, really, but she's been in with us since she was four months old. Dh would jump in here and say, "Yes, and you've been complaining about it since she was four months old, too!"

Themasterandmargaritas · 28/10/2009 16:23

There's not much point in buying a new car nowadays is there? Ours was bought in an online auction in Japan and shipped over. When you put the radio on it would say 'ahfursatosashimi'

It's not pathetic, it's what you are used to that's all, you just need to reteach yourself that you don't/won't/can't miss her. Besides soon there will be four of you in the bed and A may then be begging to be in her own bed

JamInMyWellies · 28/10/2009 16:24

Not had tie to catch up too busy looking for dresses and dealig with a very poorly dog my kitchen was a blood bath this morning

Anyway PJ Tilly I have a close carrier which I used with Lachie its the pistachio colour am thinking about selling it if you want to place a bid FB me.

Pinkjenny · 28/10/2009 16:26

And will I have both of them in the bathroom with me while I am trying to do a wee? I am dreading the possibility of ds being as clingy as A. She literally wants to control my every move. My mum says, "She just likes to be close to you."

She is very gorgeous though.

I had a convertible Megane which I bought brand new and we lost 000's on. I would just never, ever buy a new car again. Unless I win the lottery. Or become a WAG. I'd make a great WAG.

Pinkjenny · 28/10/2009 16:28

X posts Jam. Have you found anything you like yet? Would you recommend the Close carrier?

Poor doggy.

Themasterandmargaritas · 28/10/2009 16:33

Poor doggy Jam what happened?

I think Pink she has chosen a rather fantabulous purple silk dress.

You are perfect WAG material it has to be said.

J is also a velcro child, he won't let me go, ever. He heard my voice at school as I was picking up his car seat and starting wailing for me straight away.

They are getting so smart though don't you think? Tonight when I put him to bed I said 'I love you' like I always do and he said 'what's love you mean mummy?' Errrrrrr, I couldn't really answer him

Pinkjenny · 28/10/2009 16:37

at J!! Cheeky little monkey. A says, "I love you, mummy" when she is getting exactly what she wants. She also often says, "I don't like Daddy though", but always when he is within earshot. It's like she is actually trying to wind him up.

There will be mucho banging of heads between them during her teenage years, methinks.

Ah well, it's nice to be loved

I must see this dress, has she posted it on the Style and Beauty thread? Is it the Coast one? I lurrrrved that one.

Pinkjenny · 28/10/2009 16:39

Aah, I've seen it. Beautiful. She will look so gorgeous.

largeginandtonic · 28/10/2009 17:05

Just popping in, am at mil for the week.

Court was a bit 'meh'. Annoying really. The boys will hopefully be happy they are not going to be terrorised for a while though. He is a twat.

Jam how lovely to elope! I say go to Vegas

I need a dress link please.

How is the dog? Fixable i hope. It is horrid when they are poorly

Pink, B is in my bed every fecking night. Bluebell sleeps in her cot. I despair i really do.

Clearly any advice i give is flawed.

I started my period this week, first scince before Blubell Oh it is great fun

I need to be preg again!!!

elkiedee · 29/10/2009 00:30

Is that serious LG&T? How exciting if it's a plan!

Moijaimelacountry · 29/10/2009 09:58

lg&t, sorry the court was inconclusive, glad the twins may get a bit of a break though.

Jam how is the woofy?

THMAM knee?

Charley, phase? yeah... every year around the same time lasting about 4 mths, should be used to it hey? quite right I'll MAN UP! Christmas is definately cancelled this year, I will make the kids shakers out of bottles and beans instead.

PJ good luck with your A's sleep trainng. How is little L making you feel now?

AM you are very quiet too, you OK? How are you finding the jump from 2 - 3, I thought it was massive. How is J and school now?

J is into whistling and doing at my side, she whistles a fab version of happy birthday. She says I love you too but normally followed with but I love GaGa more! Cow bag!

lg&t needs to be preg again... exciting elkie?

Moijaimelacountry · 29/10/2009 09:59

Excuse me MN can I have my old page back please..... this ones crap IMO btw

JamInMyWellies · 29/10/2009 12:25

Super quick one,

Tilly got your message will shout you later.

Dog a wee bit better today.

Got to go to my BIL mums funeral this afternoon she was only early 50's diagnosed with lung cancer 6wks ago. Went into hospital the other day fell asleep and didnt wake up. So terribly sad I will be a mess.

Pinkjenny · 29/10/2009 13:23

LG&T - at B coming in your bed. In a slightly perverse way that makes me feel a whoooole lot better. She was in our bed last night, and dh tried so hard to get me to move her. I wouldn't. I will at the weekend. Oh yes, I will.

Mrs JB - hello my lovely. I think you should come and stay with me while I'm on mat leave. I can show you the wonders of Liverpool. Whaddya think? at J whistling.

Jam - sending you ((hugs)) for this afternoon. I know it's not really MN, but I think the situation calls for it. Glad pooch is feeling a little brighter.

Tils - I am slightly concerned that the email from our lovely spa suggests I bring gym wear. Please promise me we're not engaging in any Jane Fonda-type antics.

AprilMeadow · 29/10/2009 14:16

Hi all

LG&T sorry that court didnt go as you had hoped and that you have to go back in March and a big for AF returning

Pink how is the new motor? Is L feeling any better? Remember no pressure on getting L in her own room, she has been in with you for lover 2 years, you cant expect her to 'go it alone' straight away. Big hugs and you know where i am xx

JAM sorry to hear that woofy is poorly and at your BIL's mum.

MrsJB sorry i missed your msn the other day. When are you free for a catch up? All going ok here thank you. Not finding the jump too bad to be honest. The other 2 are really good and understand if i need to feed/change/or get L to sleep. Lucy is doing really well thank you. She goes to bed at 7/7.30 and doesnt wake until 2/3am then again 5/6.30. Gaining weight nicely, was 10lbs 11oz today at almost 6wks . Can you believe that this time last year you guys were over and coming to stay - where has that time gone!!

Moijaimelacountry · 29/10/2009 15:17

Ahhhh Lucy is doing so well, bless her. I know, I can't believe it's been a year, we had such a lovely halloween with you guys. I was thinking about it yesterday and how I wished we were doing the rounds on the estate again with you. Everyone goes to so much trouble and the kids had a great time. We've got a demo Sat evening so I'm off out at 6pm til the crack of dawn Sun. Perhaps A will do something with them.

Oh yes the motors PJ, are you racing the streets of Liverpool now? Has dh's punto got go faster stripes? I'd love a trip to Liverpool, one day maybe as long as no one talks to me, 2 languages is bad enough I can't cope with a 3rd.

Holidays here so a little hectic, A has had a few jobs come in for Nov so feeling a little better. The prospect of NO work is so scary, it curls my insides.

Maddie is out of plaster (did I say?) will take her at least 2 mths to gain most of her movement back the doc says but could take her up to a year to be able to straighten her elbow fully. She doesn't seem too bothered, I just have to use the left arm when throwing her in the cupboard from now on.

I'm not so much of a biffa anymore, have lost a stone and still in the zone, thought it was time for a change. What better name for me. except for adding sado onto the end, I know!

Pinkjenny · 29/10/2009 15:21

Unfortunately there was an issue with the paperwork, so dh is off to collect the Honda tonight, and I am off for Freddie Fiat on Saturday. Dh keeps sending me messages saying things like, "You are going to look so gorgeous in your Punto!" He's very irritating.

I may slap him when I get home.

JamInMyWellies · 29/10/2009 20:34

Right trying to catch up.

SOH/Monkey woman. I love the notebook just makes me weep everytime.

Abbey hope you had a fab birthday, I tried to post on your FB page but its gone all wonky with this live feed nonsense.

Charley am so chuffed that you have got your HB.

PJ just saw that your cleaning company sacked you for being to picky I fear that may happen here although I really dont think I am.

TMAM secret santa already will FB you cant find your email address. I am all up for the shake it up a bit thing. Not so sure about the sex toys though. My bedside drawer is bulging already.

PJ sounds like the first night of operation sleep was pretty succesful, try again at the wkend. You will not get flamed I can completely understand why you feel sad about not haivng her with you.

The close carrier I would recommend it its surprisingly easy to tie and makes looking after a toddler and a weenie one much easier.

Can you tell I am working my way up the pages from the last couple of days.

Right the woofie poor chap had an incredibly poorly tummy. The stupid dog or scavanger as the vet called him must have eaten something which upset his tummy. Because of this he tried to poo so much he made himself bleed it was everywhere yesterday morning not really what you need at 6am. Much better today and will be back on his doggy biscuits tom rather than the chicken and rice he has had the last couple of days. Archie has been walking around saying poor shmoo poo.

hopefully The Dress John has ordered his suit we have checked out flights. BF is on board other BF who I was going to have a girly NY wkend with has been told. Little sis in San Fran is under the impression I am coming over for a wkend so she is goign to come to NY too. Whoopppee bloody nora in exactley 3months I will be spliced. My mum is going to go sceptic!

LG&T I too have aquired my period am just at the end of my second one since I got preggers with Arch, bleugh.

MrsJB or moijaimelacountry that is far too long a nickname. Well done on the weight loss thats brill. Great news on Maddies arm too are you enjoying having her at home.

That was a bit of a traumatic afternoon. Honestly its been a rotten couple of months for bad news. It was so sad but my BIL or I guess soon to be exBIL spoke beautifully about his mum and I cried alot. Came home and gave my boys and extra big squeeze tonight.

Off to zone out infront of the telly now, Bones and Lie to Me mmmmmm David Borenaz and Tim Roth in one evening. All I need is some chocolate. Anyone fancy going to the garage for me?

SKYTVADDICT · 30/10/2009 08:30

Hi all

Sorry been AWOL.

Decorating last week and half term this week so life hectic as usual.

Love the dress Jam. People keep asking me how our plans are going but what with childminidng plans, decorating plans etc there is no time and also we have no money . The wedding will happen at 4pm on 7 August next year. I am sure it will come together !

Good news about Maddie's plaster MrsJb - it makes life a lot easier with it off doesn't it? DD2 managed a lot better when her ankle plaster came off last year. It still swells on a regular basis not though - we have been back to two x-rays but apparently it is just weak.

All have had cougs, cold, temps etc as usual.

The cars sound exciting PJ and good luck with the bedroom.

We had C in with us for about 3 hours last night and when he eventually settled enough to take him back L woke up! We are making C's cot bed into a bed this weekend and he has Noddy bedding. Wish us luck!!

DD1 going to destist today for her first of many appointments re braces. She has to have 4 teeeth out but not sure if any of them are today. After reading a thread on how much this is costing some people I am praying it is on the NHS. I am not going to let them touch her until I ask - mean maybe - but necessary!

largeginandtonic · 31/10/2009 20:33

at your dress Jam. Hope you get it! It would look fabulous on you.

Also glad to hear the woofa is on the mend too.

AM little Lucy is doing so well, oyu must be very pleased. Hark at you with the 3 is not sooooo bad, #4 then?

CM i am very very happy that you are being given the support you need to have a HB. Are you looking forward to it?

Pink, B has even failed tomake it in to his bed for some of the night recently. It's farcking ridiculous. I will flip my lid soon i fear. Will wait for dh to return maybe...

SOH what size are your feet?

Oh and B stuck a raisin up his nose this week, had to go to A&E for forcep removal. It was great He was very good letting the doc shine a torch up his snoz. Blardy children...
