I completely missed M's broken fingers.... I blame the head. OMG, how did she do it SOH? Is she Ok now, poor thing.

Scoot.... sounds a dire situation with FIL, your MIL must be worried sick. Blardy hospitals!! Can you really manage time off to help? What about an out of hours care team, would FIL be entitled to any community support?

largeginandtonic · 14/10/2009 18:34

Did she really break her fingers!!! Oh no! The poor little love Is is on FB? I laughed at the poo too!!

Just a quick one as i have to go and collect Ella in a moment BUT wanted to say a big THANK YOU to JAM, SKY & TMAM for the gifts you have sent for Lucy. TMAM, love the Kenya t-shirt, JAM, the top is gorgeous & SKY those olours look gorgeous against Lucy's hair colour - Ella has stolen the bug/purse and wont give it back!!

Also just back from weigh-in and Lucy has gained 13.5oz this week no wonder her vests look a little tight

AprilMeadow · 15/10/2009 12:26

obv meant Colours not olours!

charleymouse · 15/10/2009 15:23

PJ I am planning on finishing work on Friday the 13 November. But yes loads of people keep saying to me "any day now then?"

SKY well done on booking a course and getting the house tidy.

April I think DH has changed his mind, he has just realised this baby has been in there for longer than G and B were so I think he is now in OMG it could be here any day mode. Well done on Ls weight gain and sleeping.

LG&T Cheers for the info, I think the fact I lost the plot in hospital made me realise I really would be better off at home. I just have to contend with the mental anguish that I feel as I still blame myself for B not being here when I knoiw categorically it was not down to me so how would I feel if anything did go wrong with this one. I would never forgive myself. I am keeping an open mind and going to view the MW led unit on Monday but think home is still where my heart is. I am just wanting to appear reasoned and reasonable to my CMW. I think she has also lost some of her initial confidence, hopefully she will get it back or hand me over top someone who inspires confidence. DH has made me promise if I won't die he will support me in a HB. I gave him a Guides honour promise. Hope you are okay now DH is on his way, take care. Fingers crossed for your brother as well. Oh has the wedding of the year happened yet? How did it go. Blame pregnancy brain if you have already let us know about this. DOH.

Elkie may contact NCT local expert for advice. Thanks.

MJB how is the head? We love >> as well, had it SKY+ and caught up last night.

SOH, hmm cat poo how delightful, our geriatric cat likes to poo in my kitchen sink when she is too farkin idle frail to go out and use the litter tray. Are Ms fingers okay. When are you in sunny Sheffield?

TMAM thanks, I am sure I can do it, just have to convince them I suppose or sign my life away with risk assesments etc. DH has been training really hard and managed a 1hr 46 in Birmingham, I am so proud of him. Good luck with yours, how is the knee holding up?

Jam hope your sis is getting the care she needs, re gall stones and cancer. Poor luvvy. I have just had a bad experience with a cleaner so the house has gone back to disaster zone. She turned up with hubby and kid, then late and then changed to morning and rang at lunchtime to check if I was in to come in afternoon when I had taken a morning off work. I told her not to bother. Is shmoks any better?

Scoot, how are you holding up, blardy hospitals, is it the Royal? My Nana had some appalling treatment there. Love visitors, DH does to as I try to tidy up prior to arrival I am into blue riband at the moment, hmmm. Well impressed with your organised day of super mumminess.

Hello TSM, Abby and everyone else hope you are all okay.

AprilMeadow · 15/10/2009 19:48

How many weeks are you now Charley? Yours, Tilly's & Pink's pg's have gone really fast (well for me anyway)!

Tilly - have packaged up the RLT tablets and dh is going to post them tomorrow.

Pink - just need to find a suitable box to put the creams in so that i can send them to you.

TheGreatScootini · 15/10/2009 20:12

Evening all.
Wow CM, there could be a baby ANY DAY NOW!

Poor Tild! How did she do it?!

FIL was in the Northern General. He is home now.It is NOT going well.I am going tomorrow. Will be something of a busmans holiday for me I suppose

I was supposed to be out tonight with the NCT girls.I had been looking forward to it as we were going to a tres swank restaurant. However DH is 'stuck' at work AGAIN.So instead I am waiting for a Jacket to cook and watching Emmerdale in my PJ's.He is in big bother when he gets back to say the very least.

I am leaving him a long list of jobs to do over the weekend put it that way.Top of it will be the curtain pole.I am sick of people nebbing in.

I wonder if I go to the world cup on some McTickets how far away I would be from Themaster?Would it be doable say from Joburg?

TheGreatScootini · 15/10/2009 20:23

Oh Charley-you stick to your guns about being at home if thats what you want.
You need to be where you feel most comfortable (as you know for me thats hospital, drugged up to the eyeballs, but each to their own )

It wasnt your fault about B.Not at all. Please dont think it. xx

SKYTVADDICT · 16/10/2009 13:04

Glad you like the pressie AM - the Ju Ju Be "Be Quick" bag was on Coleen Nolan's page in the Daily Mirror so I tracked it down on the internet and it comes in 40 - yes 40 - colours/designs. DD1 chose that one for you - it's called Julia's Ribbons. Hopefuly will come in handy for the car for just a couple of nappies/small pack of wipes (if you can get it back from Ella ).

Hello to everyone else.

DP decorating next week so have to be out of the house and PC may not be on - maybe not around much so don't do too much talking or i'll have loads to catch up on !

Just off to try and sort some stuff - again.

Pinkjenny · 16/10/2009 13:08

Scoot - dh is going to the World Cup, spending the first week in Joburg, and the second week in Durban, where we used to holiday when I was a child.

I'm not at all bitter about it.

TheGreatScootini · 16/10/2009 13:57

But he will owe you many nights out and favours as a result.Consider that! When you have had Lucas and he is settled a bit imagine the fun we can have in lieu of DHs world cup trip.

What are you having decorated SKY?I am after our bedroom being done as it is currently stuck in 1979, but DH is being miserly.

M hs got the devil in her at the moment. She is twenty times worse that L ever was, and L nearly bought me to my knees!(She's quite the little angel nowadays )M is mental when outside the house-she throws herself into the road, and climbs on anything dangerous looking. She climbed this morning into the moving Christmas display at the garden centre and broke a very expensive bauble for example, all in the 20 seconds that I had my back turned to look at something.I beg of you.Even so much as a simple shopping trip becomes a battle of wills. She gets things off shelves. She runs off and hides.Honestly its getting to the point where I dare not take her anywhere for fear of what she will do.And she used to be so mild .My nerves are shredded.

This afternoon we are going to tea club at the Alpha Mums mansion.(Tea club is once a fortnight where one mum makes tea for all the kids (Lil's Bumps and Babes group) round at their house. The Alpha mum is city banker types wife and they live in a gorgeous Georgian actual mansion in its own park .I am dreading what M will break.I hope tea is not something that potentially stains anything.Maybe I shouldnt go.

Needless to say when I am hosting tea club it will be sandwiches and cheese on a stick if they are lucky, and it will be a carpet picnic as the kids wont all fit round my kitchen table.]Actually I have cleverly volunteered for the last one before Christmas so can do a party tea which will be easier.Im not just a pretty face y'know.

Had anyone heard from SOH about M's fingers at all?

Themasterandmargaritas · 16/10/2009 14:38

Scoot, we are just a tiny hop skip and jump from Jo'burg. Forget building up the credits, get on a plane with dh. Actually I quite fancy going to SA, we could have a mini Africa meet.

I'm so so sorry Jam to hear about your dsis. It's poor consolation but at least she has some fantastic family support around her. Will she stay state-side for all her treatement? Who did you Spa with today?

I went to the cinema and watched My Sister's Keeper. Harrowing I tell you. Thought it was actually a rubbish film, a total load of sentimental claptrap with no storyline to speak of, but could I stop blubbing, no way.

Charely at dh's time! That's fantastic, he must be delighted. I'm not even going to tell you at how badly I do next week...

Did M really break her fingers or is it an MN urban myth?

Abby, if you are there, is Ruby poorly? If so then I hope she is soon on the mend. Are you going anywhere for half term?

Rather you than me

How are you holding LG&T without Sailor Joe?

Have fun with the decorating SKY. It's good to see DP getting stuck in, perhaps you should send him over to Scoot's?

Things are a bit busy here, what with ILs arrival, blardy school runs, admin for buying the house, working for this NGO and running......

The very exciting and good news for us, is that IT'S RAINING! Just in time for half term . We are off to the beach for a week on Sunday. Should be interesting if the predicted El Niño arrives.

AbbyLou · 18/10/2009 20:14

Heellloooo!
Hope everyone is ok. I'm so sorry I have been awol for ages. We have been so so busy I just can't find time to do anything! I've managed to flit onto fb every now and then but never seem to find the time to get on here and catch up. Sorry not to do individual catch-ups but it's just taken me 20 minutes just to read what I've been.
TMAM thanks for asking about Ruby. She was poorly but she's fine now thank you. I think it was just a virus but she always gets terrible temperatures so we have to watch her like a hawk.
We are just so busy here, dh and I have just come back from a lovely, relaxing well-earned weekend in Whitby. It was gorgeous weather and we really enoyed ourselves. He is working so hard on his gtp at the moment and works all hours so everything else is falling to me which is hard work. It will only be for 9 months and then he will be a teacher! He has half term this week on his own so I have given him a nice long list of jobs. Mine is next week, with the kids of course.....

largeginandtonic · 18/10/2009 20:38

Hi Abby

Hope you are all ok. Parents staying here!

Am watching X Factor, it's fab

charleymouse · 19/10/2009 11:25

Waves to Abby

Right off to get DH and tour the MLU. Thanks fopr all your advice, LG&T may call you for a natter if that is okay as still feel home would be best option for me.

34 weeks this week, have washed newborn size clothes now just have to get somewhere to put them.

Right off now or will be late.

ShowOfHands · 20/10/2009 15:13

Sorry to be in absentia of late, tis shooting season in Norfolk and I'm determined to shoot me a Pipling. I'm aiming for Nok Cock or whatever the buggery feck his name is.

TheGreatScootini · 20/10/2009 21:07

Who or what is Nok cok?Are you being smutty?
What did everyone think to Cheryl on X factor. She can do no wrong for me (except maybe those slashed to the hip trews she was sporting)Im all about Olly and Stacey this year.

I have spent a lovely day being interviewed by the Police as a service users relative has allegedly nicked all our controlled drugs.Well done the member of staff who failed to follow the procedure and lock them up.I beg of you!

DH has forbidden me to buy a new Fiat 500 to replace my clapped out old motor. Will have to get an alternative clapped out old motor instead.I spend 3 hours a day in the car.I think its only right I have one I ruddy well like. Its alright for Mr Company car isnt it? Harumph.

We had Lils parent consultation last night. They said she never speaks in shcool. This is incredible to me as she certainly speaks at home-in fact she bellows. She is just painfully shy when out of her comfort zone.God bless the poor kid-she is me!How can I cure her?Its not easy being cripplingly shy (I am quite shy in RL, really and am now 100 times better than I used to be)

Thats all my news..FIL still v poorly, back up home last weekend and next.Curtain pole still not up!

Hope all are well xx

JamInMyWellies · 21/10/2009 09:44

Hi all,

nok cok what the bleedin nora is that?

Abby how exciting for DH.

SCoot get the 500 and sod DH a friend has one and they are great and you can fit a bigish buggy in the boot.

Not much happening here, Archie painting the garden in dog poo, Shmoks is better. Got anothother new cleaner better than the last but still needs a bit of tweaking think I am maybe a wee bit anal about things being done my way.

I thought Cheryl was fab! We dont normally watch xfactor but have got sucked in this yr as a local lad Olly is in it.Thought Whitney was a bit meh DP was wishing for her bubbies to escape from the dress when she ad her wardrobe malfunction.

I need some child friendly swear words Archie has begun to copy my navvy like swearing he now reads Peppa pig as bloody peppa and george I swear I have never said bloody peppa and george. I have been saying alot of jeepers and fidlesticks but they just dont cut it. Help is much appreciated.

Hows everyone else getting on?

Themasterandmargaritas · 21/10/2009 17:53

Ah Nok Cok I know him well!

Anyone for a Mojito?

Should I feel bad that my dc are rather pink looking? Even the strongest sun cream is no match for their swimming pool obsession

largeginandtonic · 21/10/2009 19:42

at pink. Wish we had bloody weather to make us pink. Tis rain and heating on here.

Scoot poor you up and down every weekend You must be shagged! Lills will be ok. It takes them 5-6 weeks to come out of themselves at school, quite normal

CM call me whenever you like! Well except between 5-7 which is blardy ridiculous in this house. I hope the tour was ok. I say stay at home too. I knew instinctively with B's labour that it was all going to be tits up. Bluebell on the other hand i just knew was ok.

I think it may be Gok Wan SOH is aiming for. Who can blame her. SOH lol at you on the married quarters thread. I have sucked half the patch in to MN

I posted the parcel today, finally. Sorry. Am slack.

TMAM a mojito sounds lovely, ta. Am on the vino rouge tonight. I had all mine PLUS a 5 year old, 4 year old, 7 year oldand 3 year old this evening. A baby crying for his mums booby emergency, while she was at the dentist, sent my neighbour off to track her down and i had all the mini beasts. Erm...

B poured half my HUGE antibac spray all over the carpet and tipped rice all over the kitchen floor while i was distracted. I think Blubell may have eaten some of both.

She is crabby and teething i think. Bout bloody time, she is 9 months old!

The twims have been interviwed by CAFCASS now, they seem ok so far. I think they had alot to get off their chest, poor things I wish i couldmagic it all away for them. Back to court next Monday Twat.

I have just put a colour on my friends hair, she will be back in a mo for hair straightening. I need to do mine it is shocking and gets tied up everyday.

ALSO i bought some of Top Shops Martha jeans. FABULOUS. You must rush out and get some. You too SOH, they would look great on your shape.

OP posts:
ShowOfHands · 22/10/2009 18:49

Is sack of potatoes a shape?

Nok cock is a pipling. Did I not explain that?

Ginny, can I come and see you in 2 weeks time? Won't stay, just a cuppa and a catch up. Will fb you actually...

TMAM, you lush. Were you pished?

Child friendly swear words? Just say em with a smile. That's quite friendly isn't it?

I don't swear obv.

ShowOfHands · 22/10/2009 18:57

I haven't been in Top Shop since 1996. Just looked on their website (little gremlin popped up wielding a piss orf you don't belong here sign). Those vintage martha jeans are quite fetching but at £40 that's 2 weeks of food shopping. So, do they taste nice?

ShowOfHands · 22/10/2009 18:58

Oh God am snorting with laughter. Ginny licking her own legs.

DH looks worried.

largeginandtonic · 22/10/2009 20:03

Poor dh

Not sure i could lick my own legs.

Just a cuppa? We have a new comfy futon you know!

Get the vintage, they will look good with hippy kaftans and boots. You will need a 10. It is Xmas and your birthday soon! Well soonish

OP posts:
ShowOfHands · 22/10/2009 20:36

I don't celebrate my birthday really but maybe I should. They are nice.

Get somebody to lick your legs for you. [innocent ]

Going to Bournemouth for SIL's 21st. I said yes as long as I could visit Bicky on the way. I might accidentally get left behind at yours and dh can go to the all you can eat whatsit. I can't eat a lot and it feels like a lot of pressure.
