Thanks dot - I am a wee bit excited right now

dot1 · 08/06/2005 21:12

when's it due - come on, I need all the details - no more babies for us so I need to live vicariously!!

MrsDoolittle · 08/06/2005 21:26

Well I'm not even late yet, it all started with a hunch you see. No...noo.I'll correct myself. It all started with Chuffed telling us her news and me being overcome with a sense of broodiness and then me acosting dh in bed, I'm sure you can imagine the rest.....

MrsDoolittle · 08/06/2005 21:27

So the answer to your question is late February.

TracyK · 09/06/2005 08:41

Congrats MrsD - there aren't many of us left on here un-pg!
How's it going spagb? Hope things are looking up?
dh has been 'asked to consider his options' at work - which looks like he'll be moving internally to a job in London or Leeds. Which means either shit loads of commuting or a house move (poor ds just loves his nursery) I just don't know what we'll end up doing.

Chuffed · 09/06/2005 09:29

Oh Congrats - how awesome MrsD - I almost asked you on msn last night too?
I had accupuncture yesterday for my all day on and off nausea and oh my god I feel fine last night and today it is a miracle - long may it continue.

Tracy hope that whatever happens isn't too traumatic for you both.

Have you seen the inside of this new place Spagblog - made a decision???

dd still in 9-12mth and a few 1yr trousers but I have to belt most of them as they fall down. Tops are a mix too of 9-12 and 1yr. She is relatively tall - was 80cm about a month ago and 10.3kg at home on our scales so about 23pounds.
I think we are about to have a bit of talking happening soon, I got eye, hello and hi this morning, she says gain when she wants say a story read again but mainly she just bables and reads to herself outloud.

Hope everybody has a good day today - I feel very sorry for myself all stuck at work when it is so gorgeous outside.

Fennel · 09/06/2005 10:49

congratulations mrs D

everyone round me is pregnant now it seems. sister, sister in law, friend at work, even our cleaner. i am just glad I'm not.

morning sickness on the long haul plane then? (wasn't that the reason you were delaying?) I felt ill coming back from australia at 10 weeks pregnant, dp had to look after 10 month old dd1 the whole way while I lay back feeling ill, and the air stewardesses felt so sorry for him having to do all the hard work while I just looked lazy they presented him with a complimentary bottle of wine (while glaring at me for being a bad lazy mother).

Fennel · 09/06/2005 10:49

TracyK, where do you live now? somewhere south? Leeds is supposed to be a great place to live and you could hang out with yorkiegirl at mumsnet meetups!

TracyK · 09/06/2005 12:05

I live in Bedford just now - so the commute to London is do-able (albeit longer hours) - and I'd love to live in Leeds - it's just the whole house moving trauma and having to move ds from his beloved nursery!

Chuffed · 09/06/2005 12:34

dd will be leaving nursery at the end of Nov
She does love it but it is too expensive when I'll be on maternity leave then (well holidays)

Fennel · 09/06/2005 12:37

it is hard leaving a good nursery. dd2 still misses hers, she left in december to go to school nursery and still goes on about her nursery friends and routines. we are thinking of moving and leaving the nice school and nursery will be very hard.

TracyK · 09/06/2005 14:00

can you not let her do one day a week chuffed? just to keep her in there?

Chuffed · 09/06/2005 14:07

We are going back to NZ next year anyway - all going well leaving end of March arriving NZ May so she would have to leave the nursery anyway.

TracyK · 09/06/2005 14:11

yes - but think of the long pissy days in UK winter where you'll have to entertain dd indoors!! I'm thinking of upping ds hours at nursery at the end of the year!

Chuffed · 09/06/2005 14:26

yes it has occurred to me. Dec the nursery is closed for 2 wks so don't fancy paying for a month when she is only going to be there for half. In Jan my mum is coming over for a couple of weeks so whe will spend heaps of time with dd while I concentrate on new bub and I figure we can go splash in puddles, go to gymboree etc if necessary in Feb/Mar - it will still be cheaper than nursery. Our nursery is £55 a day if you go full time and pay monthly and you pay the same for holidays too, slightly more if you don't so it just seems like so much money when I'm at home.

TracyK · 09/06/2005 14:28

spose when you look at it like that - it does make sense. if youhave your mum there too - it'll be a lot easier.

Chuffed · 09/06/2005 14:44

We live a 2min walk from Kensington Gardens so will probably just layer on and go play in the puddles get muddy, kick a ball around most days too.

TracyK · 09/06/2005 14:48

gosh - you are so much more energetic than I would be. we just sit in and read and look at the rain and i try and ignore the bored whining!

lunavix · 09/06/2005 14:48

I'm so
at all you pg ladies!!!!

Argh I have this silly wedding to contend with instead

next depo is due in july.. shall I be sneaky and.. "oops dh how did that happen? "

MrsDoolittle · 09/06/2005 14:51

Nausea, yes Fennel you are right but don't remind. Let's just say 'urges' overcame me and dh had just watch soem Liverpool game and her came home form the pub drunk and affectionate!!

Chuffed · 09/06/2005 15:16

MrsD I didn't get it last time, was travelling through Russia 8-10wks. This time has not been pleasant but have been OK since accupuncture yesterday. You might not get any...

hewlettsdaughter · 09/06/2005 17:01

MrsD - congratulations! . I missed all that about a hunch (have seen the thread now).

It seems (to me) so soon for you all to be pregnant again - but then I have a large gap between my two (nearly 5 years).

Hanging around Kensington Gardens sounds nice, Chuffed

spagblog · 09/06/2005 18:08

Things are looking slightly less bleak, had a sneaky drive passed our second choice property and it looks okay.
We can't move in until July 1st so I guess we will be squatters from Monday until then!
Gives us more time to sell some of our stuff at least.

MrsDoolittle · 09/06/2005 18:59

Chuffed - we are now having the nursery dilemma. Dd loves her nursery and I'm so pleased to leave her there, when I go to pick her up she often crawls off in the other direction to carry on playing. However the nursery is closed for 2 weeks in August and I expect to pay for that too and then the 4 weeks we are away!! Alot of money to hold a place that we have to let go anyway!
The thing is dh is talking about moving now by August 1st. I don't know where to start looking. I have to try and find her a place to start September 20! Do you think that's possible. Dd's nursery now has a waiting lits of nearly two years!
Heck!

Anyway, glad you are feeling better Chuffed. Is it not as bad as last time? I'm not going to worry about it - simply because I can't.

MrsDoolittle · 09/06/2005 19:00

Hopefully things are sorting themselves out, spag blog.
