Slight wobbles but okay now.

I think I have some Seasonal Affective Disorder mixed in with PND, and find it hard to decouple which is which. But I came off ADs in May and have been okay. Not sure how I will feel when the days start getting darker and gloomier!

dp's the same - don't know if you've seen on other threads but we're taking lots of action to hopefully ensure she's OK this winter. I've found a company which hires lightboxes (can't afford to buy one) which is great, so she can test it out this Autumn/Winter, and she's taking St John's Wort, and also going to join an AmDram! I'm also trying to get her out swimming a couple of evenings a week, although that's harder as she doesn't drive and it's hard to do anything other than slump on a settee in the evenings!!

handlemecarefully · 22/08/2005 13:11

That's interesting! Let me know how she gets on with the light box...

dolbear · 22/08/2005 13:31

am sooo sorry to all those who I have missed important stuff and sorry I have no idea what ADs are , completely useless I know
I finsd when catching up on news that if I get interupted have trouble findning my place
also suffering fom memory issues , was worse when pg mind
also never seem to have any useful advice as always seem to be the one ignorant and struggling !
maybe will feel clever and smug with the 2nd ( eventualy )

hunkermunker · 22/08/2005 13:34

I just mentioned it on the other thread because LJ said she found the rest of the site unfriendly (I'm paraphrasing) and I said I had found this thread not the friendliest. I don't expect people to fall over themselves to post replies to me, but one would have been nice, given that DS had been so ill it had meant a hospital trip!

I know I don't reply to everyone, it's not possible - and I really don't mind!

handlemecarefully · 22/08/2005 13:35

"maybe will feel clever and smug with the 2nd ( eventualy ) "

lol Dolbear - yes you probably will with no 2 but then you'll have to make a conscious effort not to irritate first time mums by sounding to "been there, done that"!

handlemecarefully · 22/08/2005 13:36

lol hunkermunker - can I apologise again to you [cheeky emoticon]

hunkermunker · 22/08/2005 13:39

PMSL! No you may not!

Hey, anyone else got a non-walking child? Or is DS the only one?

I wrote on another thread that my mum walked at 18mo - and her mum was told by someone, "Never mind, she probably won't be a cripple"

DS is hilarious - can stand happily (as long as he's occupied by tower-building - when he realises he's standing up, he sits down!), cruise, etc - just won't let go and walk!

YG - really hope DD's bottom's better soon. How is your bosom? (Not sure how to put that...!).

And I realise I'm ignoring other people - and I'm sorry in advance

TracyK · 22/08/2005 13:45

So sorry Hunker - I must have missed your thread re ds. Is he ok now?
I think I check this thread and sometimes there's no new stuff and then all of a sudden there's a rush of messages and I lose track.

now i feel bad we are all ignoring everyone else it seems

sorry to the posts i missed. sometimes I don't respond if i think i don't know enough about the issue. crap excuse really.

i have a lightbox. not sure how much it helps but I think just locating the problem as SAD was very helpful for me, now I know I usually get depressed in Jan/Feb so can expect it and know it's temporary.

hunkermunker · 22/08/2005 13:49

Stop feeling bad! I love you all!
