Hiyall.

My little man is only now getting to grips with some walking. He is a champion climber though. I found him dangling from the underside of my ironing board this morning LOL!

He has a terrible temper on him. He will throw himself on his face and kick his legs if he doesn't get something he wants.
He also slaps at my face and tries to bite you.

I hope he grows out of it!

spagblog - how is the housing situation?

dot re 'fish'. One of ds' first words was 'door' (he was obsessed by the living room one).

dolbear - wonder if we'll all still be on mumsnet when they're teenagers....

dolbear · 07/06/2005 16:41

I suspect so , on our knees , crying out NO MORE
SB , hope yr house situ is OK

spagblog · 08/06/2005 06:55

Could cry at the moment. Got a call yesterday to say that we have got a house. Had a sneaky drive out to see it. It was far too far out and looked really claustraphobic and rough. I had got my hopes up (stupidly) because the lady had said that it was an ex privately owned house that the council bought. I don't know what to do. If I turn it down, I have to accept the next thing they offer me...What if it's worse?

hewlettsdaughter · 08/06/2005 07:57

spagblog, sorry to hear about your dilemma . Do you get to go and look at the house properly - might it seem more promising if you are shown round inside? I'm sorry if what I'm suggesting isn't possible (I don't really know the council house system). I hope you get some good advice, either here or on your other thread.

dot1 · 08/06/2005 08:43

Spagblog - that's awful I think I'd probably hold out, but I'm an eternal optimist - and you're right, the next thing could be worse, I suppose. I don't know your situation at all, but would the move be for a long time, or are you able to plan ahead and rent/buy somewhere else soon?

Fingers crossed anyway that maybe the next place they offer you is better...

LucyJones · 08/06/2005 10:42

We haven't got any proper words here either and no walking. Lots of teeth coming through though - ouch!!

TracyK · 08/06/2005 10:44

ds word is 'd!' for bird and for horses he does clip clopping clicking sound and prances round the room (nursery taught him this).

Fennel · 08/06/2005 10:59

spagblog that sounds terrible. i hope something turns up quickly for you

dd3's language comprehension is impressive - she can understand the words "lollipop" and "chocolate raisin" whispered across the room. she's suddenly realised the world of toddler treats she's been missing out on.

lunavix · 08/06/2005 11:04

sb - sorry about the housing Don't take something you hate though...

dot1 - oh no it's okay! I love hearing about what everyone's lo's are doing! I'm sure it's just laziness on ds's part! We'll be doing a puzzle with the twins I mind, and I'll point out a duck, t1 will do 'uck! wak wak!' t2 will run around going 'uck uck uck uck!' and ds will yawn then fart! On an average day!

His fathers lazy so I'm not too worried

I'm feeling positive about him being a chubby baby today (although I haven't had him weighed for months ) as his 12 - 18 month suit trousers are miles too big for him,,,

LucyJones · 08/06/2005 13:23

I had ds weighed not that long ago. He's on the 75th percentile for weight and 98.8% for height so he's going to be a tall boy!!

dot1 · 08/06/2005 15:19

we've moved into age 2 - 3 tops but are still OK in 18 - 24 month trousers - in fact some are actually seeming a bit big now so maybe ds2's slimming down!!

lunavix · 08/06/2005 16:38

Most of ds's 12-18 month stuff fits perfectly, although a little long, some a tiny bit tight due to cloth nappies.

spagblog · 08/06/2005 18:27

Dear me, my DS must be a skinny little thing. He wears 12-18mth tops, but the trousers are way too big for his little hips.
He doesn't really talk. He can say "Uh Oh" and "Light" and "Bahhh" whilst waving goodbye.
He loves Row row row the boat and pulls on my arms saying "Rah Rah Rah" until I play it with him.
He is funny in that if you say "No" to him, he looks at you and says "Essss"

MrsDoolittle · 08/06/2005 19:02

Guess what?
