Thanks girls, for letting me start this thread.

Well as Maisiemog and Biglips have said --- I am pregnant!

OMG - once I got over the shock I am now quite excited and dp is absolutely delighted.

EEK - I'm still on maternity leave!

Anyone else got a small age difference between babas - if everything goes O.K there will only be nearly 16 months between them.

Anyway, dd is fine and is now eating happily if not too well - still a bit of a chunkster - but lovely. She is now also drinking water - hurrah!!!!! Still no teeth or crawling but she is creeping backwards and sits up well.

Hope you are all well - still think this parenthood lark can be difficult!

I have a cable-a-holic baby too slave2babe! She prefers dh's Gamecube controller cable, but only when he's playing with it, thereby ruining his game of football - that's my girl!
But, if that's not handy, any kind of cable will do, hairdryer, hoover, mobile phone charger ...

Still no crawling/rolling action, but 2 teeth and a fascination with touching my teeth. She's forever prising my lips apart to run her finger over them - how odd.

Slave2Babe · 14/06/2005 16:55

haha my dd has the teeth obsession too!

i thought she had two of her own through, but she has now got the top two to match - i noticed only because she had been using her hand as a teether and has a set of bite marks on her hand!

best keep her well away from the electric cables now or we'll have a fried baba!

i have a very mobile little dd, so she gets into everything and every cable she finds she makes a bee-line for!

geogteach · 14/06/2005 21:29

Finally another tooth here, 3 months after the first 2. DS2 is not impressed with his new milk, tried the just give it 2 him approach with much screaming and upset, finally got him to take 1 part new milk to 5 parts normal formula, this could be a slow process.

Bellie · 14/06/2005 21:51

geogteach sounds like could be very slow going!! Hope work is going well - must be only a few working days left now!!

geogteach · 15/06/2005 21:15

Just to add to my woes DD has chicken pox, anyone want to lay bets on how long until the others get it too?

Bellie · 15/06/2005 21:43

poor dd geogteach and poor you as the others will get it no doubt!

Not sure what is up with dd as she has not settled at all tonight - she has discovered that standing in her cot is much more exciting than sleeping .

peanut · 15/06/2005 22:06

dd now has 10 teeth and crawled backwards for the first time today. My oldest dd also has chicken pox so we are all pretty much housebound at the moment

Maisiemog · 15/06/2005 22:40

Hi Peanut, I thought I saw a whole family staring out of a house window, looking trapped. That must have been you.
Geo this time next week you'll be looking back and laughing about the whole thing - or maybe two weeks - max.
Where's Biglips?? Did her daughter whizz off down the road in her baby walker?
Hotmama, I hope you are feeling less queasy now.

beansprout · 16/06/2005 11:11

Geogteach - sorry to hear about the pox. Get well soon to the Geogtech massive!
Belllie - am impressed with the standing. Ds v happy to roll everywhere, no signs of anything else yet!
He has just got his 3rd tooth - also on the bottom. I thought the top ones were next?! Peanut - ten teeth?!! That's amazing!!

Hope everyone else is well and that you pregnant ladies are starting to bloom and stuff. Off on holiday tomorrow (Dorset). Am trying to do a million things, including get wedding invites out. Now, if we could just agree on the guest list......

biglips · 16/06/2005 11:14

hello everyone, hope y'll ok as ive been busy and taking baba to more mums and babas groups which she loves it but she is VERY loud as anyone who walked thru the door she shouted at them and people just laugh at her!, ....

ha ha ha 2 maisie as she nearly reaching to the shops, i hope she doesnt take after her Dad as his mum told me that when he was about 5, she had to lock him in his bedroom overnite coz he was always hungry and he raided the fridge overnite so his poor family had to starve!! , hes not bad now but he got a terrible savoury snack habit esp crips (the funny thing is that hes fit as he a window cleaner and i cant work him out)

biglips · 16/06/2005 11:18

bellie - i caught baba stood up in the cotbed this moring and also stood up in her playpen (its all happening in one go!)

slave - baba found a mobile phone cable and was sucking on it - arrrrggggghhhhh! i panicked!!
her obbession is the bloody bin as she aims for paper and shoelaces..... oh and feets!!! as she sits there and plays our feets and tryin to suck on them (yuck!!)

biglips · 16/06/2005 11:18

peanut and geog - im sending you some get well vibes {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{get well soon}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

hotmama1 · 16/06/2005 12:24

Hiya everyone - hugs to all the poorly babas.

Still no teeth, but the moving backwards and rocking thing is progressing as she is getting very speedy. Had a couple of occasions when dd sits up in her cotbed - freaked me the first time - which she found hysterically funny .

DD seems to have the runs again - but only when she has eaten - seems to be fine when she just drinks milk and water. Breakfast just doesn't happen now as she just refuses food - just means lunch comes earlier. In fact dd is being very picky at the moment and leaves most of her food but will have a yogurt - ho hum don't think she'll waste away.

With dd I just had a bit of nausea in the evenings between weeks 6 - 10 and I never was actually sick. I thought it was supposed to get easier 2nd time around?Yesterday, I woke at 3 a.m. feeling sicky and then progressed to chucking up for a couple of hours, felt like the living dead all day - fab with an 8 month old! Feel a bit better today - not been sick - but don't want to eat - urghh - well one way to lose weight

Hope you are all well!

Aaaaaaah! Poor you Hotmama! Sending hugs...
Have you tried ginger or fennel tea or mint (rennies?) to help with queasyness? I used to drink ginger beer - don't know if it helped though. I hope you are eating lots of junk food, to keep your spirits up
Hey maybe it's a boy?
Biglips - Pog loves feet!! Get off!!!
AND newspapers - delicious!

Bellie · 16/06/2005 18:25

Bean - we are on hols from Sat too - Guernsey tho - not packed anything - come to think of it need to do the washing and ironing first . With dh being away seem to be running out of time as can't leave dd for a minute like I used to as she would be climibing up the bookcase, sofa or anything else that she can reach
Hope you are feeling better hotmama!

Maisiemog · 16/06/2005 20:23

Oh I forgot to say, I was looking at the members' area last night and I saw Slaves baby. She is soooo cute, what gorgeous colouring she has.
And Jbad's little boy, he is such a little teddy, I'd cuddle him all day.
Is anyone putting new pics on of their babes?
I've got a photo of Pog sticking out his tongue (his new thing)that I'm going to put up.

Maisiemog · 16/06/2005 20:51

OK I've posted the new photo , but it still says Maisiemog and Pog sleeping? I thought I'd be able to change that bit, but no. Hmmm!? Oh well.

biglips · 16/06/2005 21:37

im all stressed out!!!! arrrgghhhh!!! as its my mum as she is still the same (not listening) and its winding me up !!! - ggrrrrrr! .. but im ok anyway

biglips · 16/06/2005 21:56

Bellie · 16/06/2005 21:58

biglips dd has not get any teeth to grind yet know what you mean about the noise though as dh does it in his sleep and it goes right through me!!
Sorry that your mum is giving you stress at the moment.....

geogteach · 18/06/2005 20:18

Teeth grinding here too, waited so long for top teeth now I can't bear it.

jbadgirl · 18/06/2005 23:23

My ds still has no teeth to grind either! He is getting stronger by the day though!

biglips · 19/06/2005 10:25

had a gud day and nite last nite as went to a family bar-b-q and i took baba with me as she not met the rest of the family. She was sitting on my cousins knee and baba wasnt sure whether to laugh or cry as mum said " she trying to arrange her face!"

i put baba on the grass for the first time and oh boy she did not like it and she was froze on the spot as would not move at all and just bawled her eyes out, so i thought ill give her bottle and she'll be happier, no it was still the same...

We were all on the front of the house waving some people that were going home and baba decided to join in and she was waving too (awwwwww!!! cute!!) and then she livened up by dancing and shrieking and laughing (she had a hard day yesterday!! )

Maisiemog · 19/06/2005 18:50

Ha ha Biglips! They get really excited don't they? Alfie went out to our drying green the other day and he wailed because he isn't used to the bright light (we live in a cave ). However I gave him his whoozit and he chilled out and went on the grass. He then squashed some daisies. Bam! Bam! Squish! Nice.
Did you see his picture on Members - he found his tongue the other day and now has it stuck out all the time (only about a million months after he was supposed to do it on his developmental chart).
I keep getting emails from babycentre about Pog's development "this month your baby will fly" etc.... He is soo behind on some of these things, so I've started to ignore them. Apparently Einstein didn't walk until he was two.
