Buckets - yes she does, just had it MOT'd and serviced before they sell it.

cyteen · 24/08/2009 10:43

Morning all,

Joe slept through last night after a pretty crappy run, so am feeling marginally better. Have been v productive during his nap time, sorting out finances and whatnot.

VG Joe has just come out of quite a long phase of throwing everything/hardly eating anything, it drove me bonkers - so frustrating. But he is somewhat back to his chompy self now, in fact yesterday and today he crawled back into the kitchen before I'd had a chance to clear up breakfast and started eating the leftover bits off the sheet under his high chair

Glad to see the Absolutely love Me and Si particularly used to cackle at the disgusting Frank Hovis, although we also loved the splendidly ranty McGlashan.

Glad to hear you're feeling on the mend Buckets.

Squeaking from above, must go.

sambo303 · 24/08/2009 10:54

glad you are on the mend buckets & miamla dp very crotchety and I sent him back to bed after moody silences & general black mood. So not 100% yet.

ds ok, had horrendous nappies over the weekend and we missed all the birthday parties .

vg it's worrying when they appear to eat nothing isnt it. I just called my mum to ask what to do and she said, they get enough somehow just dont worry and continue to offer regular meals/snacks. I suppose they get what they need from milk...?

sarahnh · 24/08/2009 11:23

glad everyone is on the mend..

currenty got dd2 lying on me watching itng.. lovely but cannot move typing with one hand and need a drink!!

vg using teethex from ireland for tooth ache.. my dad brought some over and its awesome!

sazz theme of spongebob for party ...just ordered a cake as i am not good at baking at the best of times!

no1 hope your dcs become less whingey and fingers crossed for better night tonight!!

ts need you!! day 24 and still crampy... no idea when af is due and i need to compare your recent symptoms.. tried to mail u on fb but mail down ( to save boring the rest of u on my stupidity!!!)

hotterpotter · 24/08/2009 14:29

it's pissing down with rain here Can't decide whether to bring the washing in, it's only just gone out. Hmmm, oh I can't be arsed!

TwilightSurfer · 24/08/2009 14:33

i heard my name being called. lol!

sarah i had all the normal early preggo signs. the biggest was the sensation that i was wearing clothespins on my nipples 24/7. my weight increased. my appetite when wild. i wanted meats and veggies 4 times a day. oddly i did spot for three days during what i figure now was implanation (for me that was cd 21ish...i'm normally a 28 day cycler). i was mildly sick for two weeks following that, like motion sickness style. i could lay down anywhere and sleep deep any time of day. then all those feelings began to fade. i assume that's when things went from good to bad. my af was very post mc-ish (will spare the details). hope that helps.

sorry to be missing. i don't have a lot of desk time at the moment. that will change i'm sure later this week. if mn were nicer on my blackberry, you'd see me all the time.

sazzles if you house is upside down now does that mean it's finally right side up?

steaknife · 24/08/2009 14:41

TS ooh you beat me to that one re Chez sazzles.

A v quiet drum roll if you please because DD is asleep in her cot in the afternoon. I did a mini version of her evening routine and put her in her cot - she complained for about ten mins and then slept for 45 woke up, did a big poo and was still tired so I put her back in her cot, she made a token resistance and has been asleep again for about half an hour or so.

I would feel smug other than the fact it is probably a one off and wont last. But it is enough to give me hope that we will conquer napping in cot eventually.

Nightmare morning with DH, bah and humbug.
The gorgeous shoes are still on sale, though not reduced any more. So so tempting someone tell me it is okay to buy them - only 50 of your English pounds.
Of course not really okay to buy them as there are credit cards to pay off and houses to furnish. but I want them - wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh -

Oh and it is hot hot hot here. Sorry HP

hotterpotter · 24/08/2009 14:45

I made the joke about Sazz's house at 8am today [stern face] 'Tis a good one though in't it

Glad you are sunny Steaky, it's still chucking it down here. At this rate I'm going to have to bring the washing in and spin it again, grrr

cyteen · 24/08/2009 14:46

steak nothing like a new pair of shoes to lift your mood, I say Great progress on the cot-napping; Joe put himself to sleep this afternoon, which I was most pleased about. Although phone call from well-intentioned MIL accidentally woke him up half an hour later

steaknife · 24/08/2009 14:46

or I could save up for these for the winter.

sarahnh · 24/08/2009 14:50

thanks ts... horribly i have all the same symptoms.. motion sickness, ability to sleep any place any where, but hoping its all in my head iykwim...

Steaky well done on the sleep and very of the weather, its chucking it down in w. midlands!!!

steaknife · 24/08/2009 14:55

sorry HP

cyteen see that's the kind of advice a girl needs.

TwilightSurfer · 24/08/2009 15:04

LOL! HP, I didn't even catch yours. I was so excited to make the joke I skipped straight to posting mine.

It is a good one though!!! Where is she to comment? Maybe she can't find her laptop because it's not up it's down. LOL! LOL! LOL!

steaknife · 24/08/2009 15:36

this is what I have just been playing with. As a SAHM I was worth 68k to DH and him just the 7k to me plus his salary. And that was with me being generous about how much he does around the house.

steaknife · 24/08/2009 16:07

Flight booked I will be back for good on Wednesday 2 September. muted and very weary woohoo for sorting life under difficult circumstances.

TwilightSurfer · 24/08/2009 16:25

GREAT JOB Steaky! You are a shining example of the modern woman. Be proud of what you've accomplished and know that Filet will be proud too. ((((hug))))

OP posts:
Miamla · 24/08/2009 16:53

ditto to what TS said steaky, you really are achieving so much

so not typing more, room still spinning

cyteen · 24/08/2009 17:31

It's true steak, you are doing so well. Knit yourself some armour when you get back and wear it with pride

Speaking of which, I thought of another crafty service you could offer: bespoke nappies! You know how obsessive passionate real nappy heads can get, I've seen other peopl e selling embroidered nappies made to order and I know you made some for Izzy, so might be worth considering.

TwilightSurfer · 24/08/2009 18:38

honestly all this sewing talk makes me want a sewing machine. i have dreams ladies. i have dreams.

OP posts:
LoveBuckets · 24/08/2009 19:29

Or just roomy cotton pants/shorts to match the dresses?

Oops will pm you on FB.
TS You remind me of the 3 Amigos "Sew very old one, sew like the wind!"

steaknife · 24/08/2009 19:46

ooh good ideas ladies.

I have made the mistake of looking on ebay with a migraine - those little pictures have not helped one bit. Am searching for a summer dress by ted baker - they had it in a boutique where my mum lives, reduced to £35 but not in my size. Of course I dont need it or anything but it would go v well with my imaginary shoes.

right better make some supper.

dizzydixies · 24/08/2009 19:57

ladies am just nipping on to say hi and that I'm managing to keep up just don't have a lot of time to post. DH trying to redo this essay before next Tues and I have to do the menu and source/price cafe furniture etc before tomorrow night

still loving you all though

RedLentil · 24/08/2009 20:19

Just nipping on to say hi too.

Very hectic here, but I'd be happy to proofread at any stage Dizzy. Proofing for style and content, whatever the subject is my useless top skill.

If I was middle class, I could have done publishing.

Waves to all, with special birthday waves for Marcus.

RedLentil · 24/08/2009 20:21

But then my dad wouldn't be here planning how to dig out our extension.

Swings and roundabouts and all that.

dizzydixies · 24/08/2009 20:33

apparently have picked the most expensive furniture range of course I bloody have
