And the bastard just came downstairs to continue the argument

RIAlityBites · 16/09/2009 08:20

jammy. Hope you managed to get some rest.

LittleMissNorty · 16/09/2009 08:36

Awww Jammy ....hope things are better this morning. {{hugs}} to you

RIAlityBites · 16/09/2009 09:37

more tidying for me today.
we are going out shortly to try and find a wedding present. Then DH is off to Leeds on his own, and he will visit his DD on the way home (she has another 6 weeks in her back brace and is mighty annoyed about it. I would have thought she should be relieved she isn't in a wheelchair forever TBH). Hope DHs hospital visit doesn't hold anything too major (oh joy, something else to fret about)

DS2 is going on a visit to the opticians with is class today. Goodness knows what DS1 will be doing!

Hoping for a better day all round.

LackaDAISYcal · 16/09/2009 10:25

jammy. I hope you got some sleep and that thinga are OK with DH this morning.

I went to bed just after ten last night, and feel a bit better fofr a better night's rest; although the bumble was up in the middle of the night for a feed (hopes he isn't going to make a habit of it) and then DS1 wet the bed as he forgot to put a pull up on before he went to sleep (he is still not dry at night)

I am feeling totally wrung out, but this morning has gone well so far and I haven't raised my voice once! this is prgoress.

off to a friends for lunch, then I need to go to Sainsburys (quakes as I can't go in there without spending waaaaaay too much money)

ebay is going well; I have a starting bid of £4.99 on DD's old boden snowsuit and it has until the weekend to run. I saw one sell for £18 last week; I'm sure I only paid £25 for it new so fingers crossed!!!

Daisy sleep deprivation does terrible things, but I'd definitely speak to someone if this doesn't clear up. Also I found (actually still finding) I had to really cut down drinking to cope with it, as it really makes my tiredness a lot worse, even 1 glass of wine and especially several days running. Hope that doesn't sound like a lecture, just my experience.

Also Ria sounds like you should get some help, I am a bit like that too about not wanting to admit to problems but sometimes you have to.

Jammy ope you're feeling better today.

RIAlityBites · 16/09/2009 11:44

Hi Sputnik. How's it going?

Arse, DH has gone without giving baggins a kiss, and now baggins is yelling. I have taken a leap of faith and given DH a list of stuff I need for DS1s room (stuff he won't think is essential), plus instructions to buy wedding gift and if he sees anything I would look nice in for this dratted wedding, he's to buy it! (Our plan for this week was housework Mon & Tues, then shopping in York today. Damn the hospital for short notice, it had better be good news!)

have a good day daisy

Sputnik · 16/09/2009 12:10

Blimey Ria, that would be a recipe for disaster if I asked my DH to do that. Actually he would refuse anyway!

The other day him and DD went out and I mentioned DD needed some trainers, but not to worry if they didn't find any nice ones as I'd take her to the outlet place. The came back with some hideous black Ben 10 trainers with patent bits and flashing heels, because "DD liked them" Oh well

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/09/2009 13:43

Would be another disaster heresending my DH on a mission like that!

Things a bit better this morning thankfully but I am exhausted!! Went to the gym all the same though, then took DD to the children's centre. Hoping she has a nap soon though!

BTW, haven't got far enough yet to see if it any good but found this whichmight help some of us??

LackaDAISYcal · 16/09/2009 16:27

that site looks good jammy; I'll definately be having a dip in and seeing what it's about/how useful it is.

sputnik, not lecturing at all . My galss or three of wine in an evening is my crutch and I know I need to get out of the habit of it. Strangely enough I feel soooo much better today for not having had 2/3 of a bottle of red! How are the boobs?

DS's favourite toy is running out of battery....it's making my ears bleed!

ria, what a leap of faith there; I don't even trust DH to get the food shopping right, never mind wedding presents and clothes for me!!

I'm glad things are better today Jammy and I hope Dh is suitably remorseful and trite when he gets home....hopefully bearing gifts!!

Sputnik · 16/09/2009 16:35

That's exactly what I meant Daisy, it seems like a good idea at the time but at a certain point I realised it was really having and effect on how I felt the next day, like I couldn't wake up properly (despite huge coffee consumption, not good either!).

LackaDAISYcal · 16/09/2009 16:51

ikewym sputnik; but I drink buckets of diet coke to get my caffiene fix!

bloody hell, while I did my last post and then went to the loo DD has eaten two whole Mrs Crimble's coconut macaroons . This in addition to the one she swiped earlier when m back was turned. My own fault for not shutting the kitchen gate, but she knows it's wrong to take sweets/biscuits.

OP posts:
Sputnik · 16/09/2009 17:12

Hope she left you some

Ohforfoxsake · 16/09/2009 17:36

I love those macaroons mmmm

Daisy, try a tonic like Metatone or some iron tablets to pep you up a bit. Or stop drinking caffine and join me that diet I was banging on about before. Its bloody marvellous!

Hello everyone. Just dashing in before I disappear again.

To go and wash the nit lotion off my head.

LittleMissNorty · 16/09/2009 22:16

Ohhh I took a load of broken earrings and other bits and pieces to a gold sale today and came out with £160 cash

Feel a new handbag coming on.......

Sputnik · 16/09/2009 22:48

What is the gist of this diet Foxy? I remember you said it was in some magazine.
How are you anyway (apart from lighter, obviously, well done!)?

RIAlityBites · 16/09/2009 22:57

nice one norty £160 for a handbag?

I bought the mag that diet was in, it seems a bit complicated. Liked the free bag though (pikey)

DH managed new pillows, waste paper basket and wedding present. He forgot the cardboard boxes from Tesco (the iceberg lettuce boxes just fit nicely in DS1s wardrobe with his lego stacked in) and bought pillowcases instead of pillow protectors. His crowning glory though - when he rang to tell me his test results didn't show a previously unheard of dangerous bone infection, he said "I've seen loads of nice clothes, it's a shame you weren't here"...

justbeme · 16/09/2009 23:05

Evening - Sorry to hear everyone's not feeling too good
How are you Sputnik?? I took drastic action this morning - heat and... a pin! ouch!!!! Not sure if it hurts now because of my prodding or 'cos Its not better!

Daisy - IKWYM about memory. Mine is TERRIBLE. If you ask me what I did yesterday I really struggle to remember. and I couldn't remember 2 friends of mine being at my house together the other week. Is it an age thing do you think, or something else?

Hope the nits have died Foxy.
Hello and goodbye to everyone else - I must come off this blasted computer!!

justbeme · 16/09/2009 23:06

ps - is it just mine and Daisy computer that is showing the writing in bold?

RIAlityBites · 16/09/2009 23:38

mine is bold too JBM, and if I want something in bold nothing happens!

sore eyes, really must go to bed. But only have the gold thread embroidery and the lettering left to do. And then make it into a mini-cushion.

LackaDAISYcal · 16/09/2009 23:43

don't disappear jbm; it's nice to have you posting again.

DD is having night terrors ...too much sugar, maybe?

and no, she ate the last two the little madam

soooo roughly how much gold did you take in Norty? I have a few tangled up chains and loose earrings, rings twisted out of recognition; that sort of thing......what weight of gold nets you £160? but oooooh, handbags. I could weigh all my crappy bits in and not tell DH

I have been singing again this evening; I thoroughly recommend it as a stress buster

what diet foxy? I think I must have been on holiday when you were banging on waxing lyrical

arse to the nits...so far so nit free here (crosses fingers, touches wood and scratches)

RIAlityBites · 17/09/2009 09:58

DS2s friend is plagued with nits Her mum got a bollocking from the school secretary last week for keeping her off one day to get them combed out (she is half-african and has dark, coarse hair). There was some good advice on her FB page about combing -

"Comb through everyday for 7 days with conditioner with 2 drops of teatree oil, then check every three days,(as eggs hatch at 3 days) and comb through every seven days (lice are adults 7 days after hatching) with conditioner and teatree just as a normal routine."

am a bit and twitchy this morning. I think it's the thoughts of the wedding on Saturday, and not having anything to wear. I am going to town to buy black trousers this morning (like I have time to spare to be gadding about shopping) and will wear them with a dark lilac cami top and matching over-top thingy that I have never worn. Not quite the glam slim look I was hoping for. Also haven't achieved half the housework I wanted to this week, and now it feels like such a massive task that I feel like giving up altogether

Jammy, hope your day goes well. Take care. x

Sputnik · 17/09/2009 11:01

Mine is all in bold too. I am going to complain....
