Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 07/08/2009 20:17

Mmmm, no I'm a bit stumped for a recipe with those ingredients. Sorry

Throat not right, but I can swallow OK now, and I have some energy in myself, so am definitely on the mend. Good job too as got visitors tomorrow, different visitors on Sunday, and my sister coming to stay on Weds next week until next weekend. Oh and work on monday/Tuesday!

TheNatty · 07/08/2009 21:11

gosh all go for you hun!

ursulashipton · 07/08/2009 23:00

glad you've been out and about jammy. yay for jamlet. sometimes baggins makes me want to cry now, when he won't sit nicely in his pushchair and climbs out mid-walk.

can't help you recipe-wise natty. do you have any onions, herbs and milk/stock? you could make tomato soup. hopefully your shopping will have arrived now though so pointless advice! I started my first-ever online shop last night, and the dratted computer crashed while I was comparing tinned tomatoes. can't decide if it would just be easier to drive to shop...

our playdate today was lovely. it is DS2s friend from school, but DS1 is also good friends with his older brother (despire DS1 being older). we were invited for a picnic in the garden, but it was too wet so it was lunch inside. This is not a jdgey comment at all, but the house was more or less the same level of chaos mine is, but unlike me, my friend obviously isn't bothered by it, so it was a lovely ralxed time, the boys all played nicely together and we chatted like adults should! Baggins was hard work with no stairgates etc, but it was one of the nicest days I've had for a while

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 08/08/2009 07:48

Good that you had a nice day out Ria Online shopping can be a pain at first, but it does get easier, and after a couple of goes will be easier than RL shopping. But I still only use it for tinned and dried stuff so we can get all the reduced to clear bargain fresh products!

ursulashipton · 08/08/2009 10:42

am still shopping, it's very hard work! Am still going to Tesco later today for stuff make tea tomorrow, but I suppose if I do this regularly I'll be organised enough to plan ahead

yay DHs work cros have come. The pub he's at are having a "music festival" over the weekend, so I won't see him til tomrrow night (he kindly volunteered to stay over tonight so I could have the car). we might juyst take his new shoes over there later

that has cheered me up no end! am off to continue my de-cluttering and attempts on housework...

hope everyone has a lovely day

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 08/08/2009 11:05

I've just spent 2 hours doing housework prior to my DNiece and her husband coming to lunch It used to be have a good clear up prior to DParents/Aunts/Uncles visiting, now I do it before my niece comes

DH took Jamlet to the market while I did it, and she had another good walk I think she is still playing catch up with her stamina compared to her peers, but am pleased that she is starting to walk further. How far to other LOs go?

LittleMissNorty · 08/08/2009 12:33

Its worth it Ria - online shopping is much easier once you've got a list of favourites.

Have a good afternoon with your neice Jammy.

I have just spent the last 2 hours filling in my tester forms for M&B - they haven't made it very easy this year have they? I've still got 3 to do as well. I'm very good at picking holes in everything I've discovered - and very difficult to please!!

Oh M&B mag also e-mailed me to ask if they could use a photo of DS that I'd uploaded to their site in their mag....so must buy it next week to see if my DS is famous

LittleMissNorty · 08/08/2009 12:37

Also Ria - if you're using Tesco, check out this thread. sometime you can be lucky. Also here.

XX-PD96 is a £10 off £50 shop specifically for new customers so you should get that. But beware, you can only enter your code the first time you check-out. If you forget and try and go back in, its too late.

ursulashipton · 08/08/2009 13:40

thanks Norty, I'm using Asda this week as had an email with free delivery code, and as Asda is 40 miles away it's exciting (we always drop in when we visit MIL), though the shopping isn't as exciting as it would be if I wasn't doing slimming world! If I like the idea though, I'll give Tesco a go next time (it's nearer - less carbon footprint!)

am not doing well with the housework/de-cluttering (I got in a tizz about needing to be checked out before 1.23pm so I got my delivery slot tomorrow), though we have had 2 charity bags arrive within half an hour of each other, so it's obviously fate, the boys are supposed to be "gardening" to earn pocket money, though I did wander into the village earlier and managed to get the boys some school uniform from the charity shop. Am frustrated though as there was a whole rack of the shirts DS1 has to wear (with the school badge on, they are about £10 each) for £2 each and I didn't have enough cash on me to buy some to put away for when he grows. Hopefully there'll be some left on Monday

Have a nice say jammy. I have to clean up before anyone comes round

Hope daisy's having a nice time.

we're off to feed the fish soon. please pray for me!

LittleMissNorty · 08/08/2009 14:02

Enjoy all your shopping turning up tomorrow without any effort. Remember, cause a fuss if something isn't right. I did and got £86 worth of free shopping from ASDA a little while ago

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 08/08/2009 18:11

Hope those shirts are still there on Monday Ria And hope all your shopping is right tomorrow (or that some is wrong, if it means you'll get a refund!)

We had a lovely day. DH took Jamlet to the farmers market and she walked loads again. My niece and her DH had lunch with us and looked at the wedding photos and were very pleased Then I took Jamlet to a friend's to play and she had a lovely time. But it has obviously all been really tiring for her as she was falling asleep on the sofa at 5.50, so we've taken her up to bed already! May mean a pre-6am start for me tomorrow though

Norty - I filled in one M&B form the other night and it didn't seem too bad. 5 to do this week though, will see how I feel after that.

OK, off now to cook chilli for our tea.

ursulashipton · 08/08/2009 19:40

norty, how old id DS now? and does anyone know how old bumble is? I got some clothes fromfreecycle for baggins today, and there are a couple of pairs of brand new mini mode jeans if either of you would like them (too big for charlie or baby fury)

ursulashipton · 08/08/2009 19:42

your day sounds lovely jammy, but for early mornings.

In answer to your question earlier, baggins walks a lot, but he and DS2 are like little mountain goats! It is a pain and really stresses me out when he climbs out of the pushchair in town, but when we go off-road walking and there's hardly any danger it's great.

LittleMissNorty · 08/08/2009 20:10

My DD is the opposite and wants to be carried after a while so I always take the double with me!

Ria - my DS is in 6-9m and Daisy's DS is 9 months old - 3m older than mine. What size have you got there?

Got a curry from Tesco's tonight and am going to be a lap-top and Mamma Mia night - just started on Sky Screen 1 . DH will bugger off next door I expect!

What happened to our 2 lurkers? Have we scared you off?

ursulashipton · 08/08/2009 20:19

shopping done and checked out!

the boys are watching total wipeout

there is 6-9 and 9-12 norty.

bugger... need to amend shopping again!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 08/08/2009 20:23

Hi Norty. Hi Ria.

I'm exhausted suddenly. But got to go shopping in the morning for DSis'sbirthday present, then got friends coming in the afternoon. So I think I'll be off to bed soon, but nice to see some folks about of an evening on here

ursulashipton · 08/08/2009 20:33

shame you aren't staying to chat jammy.

bedtime for the boys now, DS2 started being clingy and feeling poorly again but he was OK half an hour ago

not really looking forward to being on my own tnight, but hey ho. a glass of wine and something on Iplayer for me as soon as they go off...

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 08/08/2009 20:43

It's Ok Ria, I'm not rushing off just yet. DH has suggested we have some pudding

LittleMissNorty · 08/08/2009 21:01

well we've had our dinner during which he bitched and moaned about the film and how they were murdering the songs ....and he's now buggered off back to playing games on the PC

I'd be interested Ria in the trousers. If Bumble is in 9-12m I'm sure Daisy would like those. If not, I'll have those as well. I'll PP you the postage. Thanks

Total wipeout is complete crap but strangely compelling to watch.

I'm loving the music on the surround sound here - hope my neighbours can't hear

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 08/08/2009 21:09

It's funny norty, I have no wish to see MM the film at all, but I would quite like to see the stage play.

Tummy all full now - I'd made a sort of (sloppy) fool with blackberries and redcurrants. Yum.

LittleMissNorty · 08/08/2009 21:12

sounds lovely Jammy.

Seen the stage play in the West End - story crap but great music. This is the first time I've seen the film. Singing is DREADFUL but music is great.

Trying to order photo prints on-line and its like pulling teeth! Taking bloody ages

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 08/08/2009 21:33

I just ordered a photo book for my DNiece as her wedding present today. I had drafted it and they had a look and asked for some changes today. So pleased they are happy with the results of my photography And also happy that Photobox had an offer on so the book I was planning to get them was £6 cheaper than I'd expected

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 08/08/2009 21:37

I do have to go now though. Busy day + full tummy = sleepy.

LittleMissNorty · 08/08/2009 21:57

Night Jammy.

ursulashipton · 08/08/2009 22:08

I hated the film the first time I saw it (and DH sobbed his little girly heart out. Sadly he is almost tone-deaf, so it had nothing to do with the singing!) It is growing on me though. I would love the song Colin Firth sings with the guitar at my funeral!

shall we sort it out when daisy gets back norty? then I can do one pardel if she doesn't want them.

are all your feedback stars on ebay yellow/orange? I noticed today that the 5th one of mine on all the categories has a little bit of grey. I was quite hurt because I've only ever had one complaint and still have 100% feedback. Silly to take it to heart I suppose - Richard Branson has nothing to fear from me!
