Myjob, we're near basingstoke, so if you come that way let us know. Mind you, I don't know much about it as we moved here just before dd was born, so I've not had much child-free time to explore. There is Festival Place shopping centre, but its not exactly Bluewater standards! I go there cos even I can park in the car park

Ok, so I've now put the Godstone park meet up in my calendar, so hopefully I will remember! I'm happy to meet you at 10.30 CSWS, then we can arrange places to meet everyone else....

We went to Birdworld today at dd's request and it absolutely chucked it down with rain. The car park was really busy tho and there were loads of families being very 'British' about the rain and carrying on having picnics etc . Dd had a great time though, she loved splashing in the puddles, so I now have a pair of shoes, some socks and trousers to wash... Lets hope the weather is better on Thursday!

Ooh, we like Wellington and plan to go there a few times over the summer. Nothing fancy but several play areas, sand pits and some fun water things. Lots of room for picnics.
In fact Ekka, if you've parked behind Sainsburys they had Free child with full paying adult slips on the back of the parking tickets. Found them when I cleared out the car

pepperrabbit · 24/07/2009 18:49

myjob - do people get to go anywhere without their DCs????

pepperrabbit · 24/07/2009 18:49

I'm thrilled if I get to the bathroom alone....

star6 · 24/07/2009 18:50

ekka and csws I will try to get there for 10.30. I think it's only about an hour drive, maybe less? So I'll try to get there too.

Crap I just lost my thread. Can't be bothered to type again. I'm having a black mood day today, DH and I aren't talking, hey ho.

I have a nice brownie recipe if anyone wants it. Haven't made them in years tho" Funnily enough have just bought a baking tray to make them again and take them into work.

I'm off downstairs.

RachieW · 24/07/2009 20:47

Myjob- I know what you mean. We're sitting here listening to ds cry. We've tried cuddles, patting, stroking, music, a toy. He is soooo tired just won't give in. Actually as I type dh has given in and gone back up

Marthasmama · 24/07/2009 20:52

We're just about to try to get M to bed again. I's so late for her!

Is it possible our babies have linked their minds and are sending messages to each other..."don't sleep...our mummies spend too much time on mn....keep them coming up and downstairs.."?

Well over an hour after bedtime started we have quiet. An early last feed seemed to do the trick and some bizzare returning to the cot manoeuvre involving me and dh carrying one side of J each . Not counting my chickens though.

Possibly Rachie, Myjob and I have long thought that N & M conspire behind our backs! Maybe J has joined in too.

HM - Just write the day off, go to bed early and start again tomorrow. Can you have some chocolate? That might make you feel better temporally. The weather is supposed to be improving over the weekend, that might help lift your mood too.
