lol at those sandwiches! If I thought that it would actually get dd to eat her food properly then I would find the time, but I fear that she would be entertained by them, play with them, but not eat them.

Lovely day with friends here today. Took the girls blackberry picking up our road this afternoon. Shame I'm not that fond of blackberries, as we picked loads and there are absolutely masses still left.

Off to in-laws tomorrow. Mil broke her wrist this week so we might have to do more than usual whilst we are there! Not good when she has 2 big parties for her Golden Wedding Anniversary in a couple of weeks, and she will still be in a cast.

ronshar · 14/08/2009 22:32

Poor MIL. Never fun when in plaster.

Myjob. They are lovely.

Marthasmama · 14/08/2009 22:44

Just popping on quickly tonight. I ahve been a very busy tidying girl today and am now knackered. DS has been at a friend's house all day and is having a sleep over. Love him though I do, I had a WONDERFUL day with my baby girl, just the two of us. It was so much fun.

Myjob - Where are you getting them from? I want to get some for when it gets a bit colder and when I have some money [broke]

CSWS - Thanks for the offer but I had already sent it off as the deadline was today. They liked it and asked for a picture of me and M. Heh heh heh.....no. I sent one of M and ds instead! Poor MIL, I think I would even feel sorry for my MIL if that happened to her.

Sorry everyone else, I keep missing people and feel very rude.

Myjob do not tell MM where you got them from. MM does not need them
MM step away from the pretty leg warmers.

Morning ladies, it's MM, I'm trying a new name out. I always feel guilty about it as I am ds's mummy too and so much more! Just hope that nobody turns up to say they are something similar!

star6 · 15/08/2009 08:11

why 50footqueenie? Just curious! It will take a bit to get used to not calling you MM

50FootQueenie · 15/08/2009 08:28

I am not sure about it either Star. Feels all wrong doesn't it..... 50ft Queenie is a song by PJHarvey, my favourite singer. Hmmmm......

Pistachio - I had a look through the bits i've got for M in 12-18 months and it's all dresses! I got a few pairs of leggings in the Monsoon sale though.

50ft are you name changing in case our thread gets lifted into the new Daily Mail column Has anyone been following that thread? Finding it all quite shocking and just glad that I don't start any threads that may be a good read. I hardly think J screamed for 40 mins at bedtime would reach a final copy!

Star- Wow for the walking! Such a clever boy

Dh has just taken ds to MIL's for the day. I'm still in my pj's and have no intention of moving from the chair and getting dressed Am off to see Hello Dolly tonight with friends at Regents Park

50ftQueenie · 15/08/2009 12:56

Ha ha ha! I was just looking for my last post and thought 'Who the hell is 50ft....Oh yeah'

I have spent most of the day so far trying to find a nice part-time job. I am very fussy so it is proving difficult.

Myjob - One? One? How on earth would I choose? I am so brassic at the mo that I won't be getting any. I am not used to having no income so can't get used to living within my means. M has the strawberry Itti and it is my favourite, I still love my bitti d'lish nappies. I was thinking of getting a brown one for Autumn/Winter. How do you keep your nappies white? M's teething poos have not been kind to her nappies and they are looking a bit grim. Oh and I made banana cup cakes yesterday for M. They have sultanas in them and NO SUGAR. I love cake but hate banana so I am not in the slightest bit tempted.

Rachie - I am waaaaaay too boring to ever be quoted! I just fancied a change and as I said, I'm not just M's mummy!

Star - DS walked at Q's age, but it was interspersed with bouts of very fast crawling. I think he found crawling faster and easier so often reverted to crawling. M is a speedy crawler too!

Yeah, DH suggested that Myjob. I think I'll have a proper look. We use fleece liners too but M has been doing mega poos. I tend to give the nappy a rinse and then I follow your instructions. Ah well, at least the innards are not on display! Have a good day....

I know Pistachio. I need a bit of spending money. DH earns enough, but I need extra for fun. I know it is a bit greedy/vulgar really, but I enjoy shopping. I am still planning on doing the breast-feeding counsellor training and midwife training (in a couple of years) so that remains my long term plan. I did see a job a couple of months ago that I should have applied for but it was a) a bit of a commute and b) I didn't want to leave M yet. It was a part-time midwife assistant. Would have been perfect.

50ftQueenie · 15/08/2009 21:22

Hello

CantSleepWontSleep · 15/08/2009 21:49

Is there anybody out there?
Just nod if you can hear me.

CantSleepWontSleep · 15/08/2009 21:51

That song's going to stay in my head now!
Busy day at in-laws today.
Ds v unsettled now, but 4th tooth is close, so hoping that it arrives and puts him out of his misery.
Dh and I both have terrible barking coughs.
Am going to go and read my book in bed for a bit now.

50ftQueenie · 15/08/2009 22:24

Ah ah ah ah ah comfortably numb!
4th tooth? I must have missed the other three popping through. I thought he was a no toother like gummy M. Is she the only gummy baby left?
