Oh Star! We wouldn't say anything to DH, you really shouldn't worry. Glad you had a lovely time home with Q. It will be the holidays again before you know it! Good luck tomorrow.

Pistachio - Oh dear, poor you. DC really know how to make you feel worthless don't they? DS is so ungrateful about most things we do for him. And ouch ouch ouch for the ankle. I managed to smack an Ikea trolley into my shin and I thought I was going to pass out. It's horrible isn't it? Have some chocolate, that will help.

Jenwa - How's it going? How have the pills been? I can't believe that I missed your post about getting a bit tipsy! Hope the shakes have stopped, you should consider going back to the doctor if the side effects are too bad.

CSWS - I would have put money on you being a non-camper!

HMM - Beautiful pictures! It looks like she had lots of fun being the centre of attention. And KFC isn't chicken! Don't hold it against chicken.

Myjob - But I like having a girl..... I wouldn't mind a lovely little Tombliboo of my own.

KSal - I would only be able to go to Whipsnade at the weekend so if we do meet up, you should be able to come too!

Ekka - Have you had new floorboards put down or wooden flooring? We are gradually getting rid of all our carpets (except the stairs and up-stairs landing) as it is much healthier. Glad M's skin is improving.

Evening! Pistachio- sorry to hear about your day. A brusied cut ankle is all you need after a hard day with the dcs.

Star- good luck for tomorrow, glad you had a good day with Q

HMM- You make me laugh with your planning to eat KFC for your first taste of chicken again. I do like KFC though, it's so naughty but nice!

Am feeling much better now, dizziness has gone. I think to be honest I'm just worn out. Ds and I have been out every day this week having fun but it gets a bit exhausting too. Am going to chill out tonight and watch the last episode of Torchwood, it's very scary. Did you enjoy it CSWS?

Finally went to the drs today as well about my scabby knees. It's psoriasis and I've got some steroid cream so hopefully I will soon have smooth non-scabby knees again

Right off to check out HMM pics.

Honeymoonmummy · 12/08/2009 21:00

I feel like chicken tonight, chicken tonight... Poppy's asleep and I'm just off to KFC for my first taste of chicken in 20 YEARS!! If you'd said to me 2 years ago I'd be eating chicken again I'd have thought you were crackers! Mind you, I hadn't heard of MN 2 years ago!

Whoop whoop! [HMM avoids eye contact with Star]

RachieW · 12/08/2009 21:03

HM hehe re chicken.

MM yeh was very tipsy not a fit mother at all

Feeling ok, been a bit muzzy headed today and DD1 being a PITA so she was in bed early, finding it hard at the moment as she is always wanting want Phoebe has whether its hers or not! She gets cross with Phoebe lots and tries to pick her up to move her or push her I was soo corss with her today, I told her off and she blew a rasberry in my face so she was on the time out mat then in bed early!

star We have all moaned about our DHs on here so there would be no way I would say anything!!! Dont worry at all. We can have a little curse when they all venture off bored of us nattering for too long

pistachio sorry about your day, ouch to the ankle!

CantSleepWontSleep · 12/08/2009 21:56

jenwa - I bet you're too young to get it if I call you a 'drunk tramp and an unfit mother' aren't you?! One of my best friends and I often used to say this to each other (before we had dc when we actually used to find time to go out and drunk of course).

Do enjoy all your meetings tomorrow star .

lol at kfc hmm. It's really not going to give you a clue what chicken actually tastes like you know!

rachie - make sure that you remember to refill your prescription just before your maternity exemption certificate runs out!

Ekka - funnily enough we did look at some similar beds to that when we were choosing the one we now have!
Has your local friend had her baby yet?

Sorry about your ungrateful brats children pistachio. Am impressed that your ds will even sometimes go to bed for your dh tbh. Ds wouldn't I'm sure.

Marthasmama · 12/08/2009 22:07

This will make you all jealous..... forget Hmm and her KFC, I had.........a bowl of steamed runner beans with olive oil. Jealous? What do you mean no?!

RachieW · 12/08/2009 22:14

MM is that all? I was about to post that I am so traumatised by Torchwood I have to go to bed and pray aliens never come to take our dcs but actually I'm more traumatised if that was all your dinner [traumatised greedy pig emoticon]

Ekka · 12/08/2009 22:57

CSWS - yes she has had another little boy, so that makes three boys for her. According to dh, her dh had already said that 3 was their limit, so she won't get the little girl she was so desperate for. I hope that she is coping emotionally, as I know she has suffered pnd in the past.... But this is her third cs and i think doctors do not advise more than three? (Though I presume that they could hardly refuse if you got pregnant again?!?!?!)

Pistachio - poor dh. Could it just be teeth? Or is ds just a mummy's boy like mine?

MM, how on earth do you survive on that? Thats just a side course for me .

Ds is really unsettled at the moment, partly I think, its separation anxiety and partly teeth (at least I hope so). He is a bit off his food as well, so I think his mouth is really bothering him poor lad. But in the last week he has worked out how to pull himself up to standing, how to climb a step and is just starting to cruise slowly around a piece of furniture. Mind you, I get the impression by his current frustration that he thought that once he could stand, walking, running and all the things dd can do would just happen - he is very disillusioned at the moment

ronshar · 12/08/2009 23:05

Evening ladies.
Jenwa I too was an unfit mother and got more than a little bit tipsy Sat night. I woke up with my first hangover for nearly two years Ouch to the childrewn and your ankle.

MM. Runner beans, for dinner?? WTF. I like runner beans but not that much.

HMM & Rachie, KFC now your talking

CSWS what was that reference you made? Is it a website?

Pistachio, my DH is crap with the children. He never feeds them properly and lets them watch tv all the time! Then feels sorry for himself when I dont have time to spend with him!!!!

ronshar · 12/08/2009 23:07

Ekka it is hard to watch them get frustarated when they cant keep up. It is great that M skin is getting better.

Marthasmama · 12/08/2009 23:51

Ha ha ha! It was all I fancied tonight. I haven't been very hungry today. I cooked macaroni cheese for everyone else. I love runner beans!

Ekka - I think the 3 strikes and you're out c-section thing is a recommendation rather than an absolute. I know of a few women who have had more than three. You're right, what would they do? "Right, you've had three so even though you're 42 weeks pregnant, it's just tough" M also thinks she can walk. It probably doesn't help that I indulge her and let her walk around holding my hands. She gets really angry with me when I need to stop! She just has tantrum after tantrum at the moment! Hurrah!

Pistachio - Your DH is lovely. My DH used to get upset when DS hated rejected him but soon understood that it meant he could get away with doing less! M adores him so he isn't so lucky this time round!

SO Ronshar - When can you come to Bluewater?

OP posts:
CantSleepWontSleep · 13/08/2009 09:55

It's from Dallas ronshar! JR says it to SueEllen.

KSal · 13/08/2009 10:01

yippee for a potential whipsnade trip!

Pistachio i think my DH is starting to get upset that its the other way round with us - Emma is still preferring him to me (but she's being much nicer about it recently! not so much of the screaming as long as she's not tired)

so.. i need some healthy food advice from some of you clever people. I want to introduce some nuts into emma's life and i was going to just spread a little peanut butter on a rice cake or something. However, when i mentioned this to DH he objected on the grounds that peanut butter is full of really unhealthy stuff (so fine with the idea of peanuts... just not on the delivery method). So... any ideas? is there a healthy alternative to peanut butter? maybe i could crush them up and mix with normal butter?
