Ummmm.... Bugger I did know the site. It's Dr something.... Dr Hale! This one? I was going to say I found it a but clinical but then remembered who I was talking to! And Ronshar, was wishing rain on us not being grumpy then? When are you around for a BW meet?

Marthasmama · 11/08/2009 23:58

Hey all. Top tip - if you haven't had caffeine for 6 months, don't drink a can of coke at 9pm... well at least I've sorted my christening pics.

We're going to try camping with Poppy either tomorrow night or Thursday, weather permitting, we're going to a campsite by a nearby forest (15m away) so we can come home if it really doesn't work. Hey, maybe we could have an October thread camping expedition...

Hmmm...I'd better go and try to sleep...

Honeymoonmummy · 12/08/2009 01:01

Still here!

Christening pics will hopefully be on FB tomorrow.

Took Poppy on a picnic again today, she just loves crawling on grass, she'd crawl off and never come back if she had her way, I'm sure! I'm a bit concerned about her weight, I don't think she's gaining weight very well, I've left a message with the HV, I was told all the weigh-in clinics were closed indefinitely cos of the piggy flu.

I'm definitely going to bed now! No more coke for me for a while!! It was worth it tho, mmmm coke argleghhh [Homer emoticon]

Marthasmama · 12/08/2009 09:29

Camping? In a forest? Me?! Never been camping, never going camping! And definitely not in a forest, I've seen The Blair Witch Project! Have fun tough!

I meant though, not tough! Ooppps!

Hello
myjob I think you are not menat to drink on the meds so really my fault! It was a good night and DH still laughing about it now

Will have a look at your pics hm when you put them on, be nice to see them.

csws hope your ok, just seen your status

I am shaking today, tablets kicking in making me not hungry and shaking!!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 12/08/2009 09:59

Oh nothing major jenwa - just run of the mill dh not wanting to take dd out with him because it's such a chore and gets him stressed. He's only popping to Waitrose for a handful of bits ffs . But changing my status is my way of having a rant without ranting iyswim! Suppose I'd better change it again.

And you'll find me tucked up in a nice hotel with mm whilst you're all camping .
Actually, you can come and camp in my garden (if you can find room amongst all the toys) and me and MM will have the house!

CantSleepWontSleep · 12/08/2009 10:00

Oh and isn't it the ABM that has the published list of drugs with bf?

jenwa · 12/08/2009 10:05

Men! They still dont get it when we say how mad are day is going shopping with two kids yet they cant manage 1!!! Although DH has been very good lately so I cant really complain at the mo!

Can I stay in the hotel too? I hate camping!

RachieW · 12/08/2009 10:55

I'm not a camper either I'm afraid. I went when I was 13 had to wee behind a rock and had grass in my tea. Never again!

Jenwa- sorry to hear you are all shakey, those tablets sound quite evil but I suppose you have to go through this to make them work? Are you feeling any better in yourself?

Myjob- I can't come to Warwick am very at not meeting everyone. I'll be in Dorset then with my family for a weeks holiday which is I'm not sure if we'll come into your part but maybe we could exchange mob numbers through fb just in case?

I'd be up for a Whipsnade meet though, have always wanted to go there but just never made the effort!

CSWS- at men.

Dh has gone back to work today after 2 days off with man flu, well a summer cold really. No temp so not piggy flu. I was very sympathetic this time, this is not a natural trait of my personality. Did ask though if he'd be taking time off if I get it seeing as it is bad enough for time off work Actually am feeling headachey and dizzy today, hoping it's a migraine coming and not the cold as I know full well he won't be able to stay off work to help so I'll have to look after Jack with it. Grrrrrrr.

KSal · 12/08/2009 11:21

Rachie I have been feeling a bit crap the last few days: headachey and dizzy and generally a bit shite. Its a bit annoying when its all so non-specific as you can't have a good moan about it and stay in bed!!

Emma has had a high temperature, so maybe we both have something!

HMM, i love camping and can't wait for an excuse to take Emma... me and DH were talking about going for a walk one day and just camping somewhere quite nearby, so its not to traumatic if it all goes wrong! What I'm really building up to is taking her a music festival though... in a way she has already been to one, when I was 7 months pg at latitude festival.... she gave me a good kicking during the sigur ros set

I would love to meet you guys, am very jealous about a potential trip to whipsnade, as that is easy for me too and a really good day out.... why oh why do i have to be at work!!

Ekka · 12/08/2009 11:53

This is what you need csws!!!!

Myjob, M's skin seems to be doing much better, we've cut right back on the steroid creams thank goodness. Dh is desperate for that bed, I have to admit I secretly quite like the concept too .

We've been at my parents house for a week while our sitting room carpet was replaced with wood floors so I'm really behind with things, but I'm in love with my new floor.... Now to pesuade dh that we need to rip up our perfectly good tiled floors over the rest of the ground floor & replace them with wood .

KSal · 12/08/2009 12:48

i hadn't twigged at all that the warwick trip was on a sunday... which one? apparently its about an hour an a half drive from me. If its one my DH is working, it would be ideal otherwise i feel a bit rubbish taking Emma away without him (i suppose i could invite him... but unlikely!!)

oh poo, i have a friend's baby shower that day... nevermind... next time. I will look out for the piccies as usual!!

Honeymoonmummy · 12/08/2009 13:14

Hey all, the caffeine has finally worn off! Have just put christening pics on FB, there may be more later as Poppy's godmother took some too.

Ksal, looks like it's just you and me camping. Rachie, it could have been worse, you could have had grass behind the rock and...

Jenwa, Rachie and Ksal, I hope you all feel better soon. Jenwa, you know as well as I do that it's hopefully not a permanent side-effect, you just have to work through it x

Took Poppy swimming with grandparents (PIL) for first time today, she liked it but was really clingy to me, which was REALLY nice cos she's never clingy!! [selfish emoticon]

Also, I've decided to start eating chicken. I knew it would be a slippery slope starting fish again when i was pregnant... [hypocritical emoticon] I've decided to re-introduce myself with a bang and get a KFC, I've never had one in my life, my gran was going to take me when they first opened but we didn't get round to it before I gave up chicken, so I'll be thinking of her when I eat it

Right, I'm off to get Poppy's lunch! Proper pasta for the first time today I think.

I don't want to camp either. I've been a lot. DH and I backpacked through europe and camped every night for 46 nights about 5 years ago and I do not want to camp again. I'll stay in the hotel.

Those beds look beautiful!

Last day before going back to mountains of meetings tomorrow I had a great day with Q, though!

Hoping I can come to warwick... if I can, I'm considering going by myself with Q.... not sure yet. Dh and I getting along well... but he has NO IDEA the amount of stuff I say about him on here... he'd be mortified.

star6 · 12/08/2009 19:22

pistachio. Sorry about your day. What did you take the DC out to do?

Sadly we won't be able to make the Warwick meet-up as one of dh's friends is coming to visit....
