Well recovered, MM. I've never wanted wine or alcohol much either... but for some reason not having it for 18 months made me really want it.

RachieW · 03/08/2009 21:14

Hello- we are still on the planet just had a busy day as well. Ds has been a delight today which was great. Had a friend over who is due with her second anytime now. Have to go now as dh and I have literally just finished clearing up from the destruction of the day and I really want to watch The Street.

Hope all the unsettled babies are better tomorrow, ds is obv now out of sync with his mn babies and will be grumpy tomo while yours are delightful

Marthasmama · 03/08/2009 21:16

I'm watching The Street Rachie. It's so flipping depressing isn't it?!

Marthasmama · 03/08/2009 21:42

Has anyone else noticed who the main guy's mate is on The Street tonight?

I'm also not particularly bothered about drinking star (have had a couple of glasses at one go once or twice since ds born), but I would just feed as normal I think.

Poor ds now had medised and nurofen, so hoping he manages to sleep better, as have run out of things to give him!

ronshar · 03/08/2009 22:37

Evening.
Your day out last week looked fab.
MM thank you. W was happy in the day a right little bugger at night. I was surprised not to see the Irish social services at my hotel door each morning. He just would not go to sleep. Unbelieveable. Your DS had a great birthday. I love the Thai for bday dinner

Myjob, N is catching up with all the chunky babies now. W has broken the 17lb mark finally. Your DS is just testing how far he can push you. Stay firm and you will both get through this difficult period. It does get easier. Different issuses crop up but once you have a good relationship sorted out that is half the battle.

HMM should it be a or ?

Rachie, it sounds like you needed to have a bit of a melt down. Unfortunately noone tells women before they get pregnant that men really struggle once they have become bottom of the pile!!!

Star, a few glasses of wine are fine as long as it is only now and then. I had a bottle of beer tonight. Lovely. West Witterings not to far from me. I love it there. We used to camp there all the time when I was a wee girl.

CSWS. Happy birthday for last Saturday. It is mine on Sunday. I have warned the girls and W that it had better be an improvement upon mothers day as that was crap. I didnt use that word but you get the picture.

Hello every one else. I now have to go to bed. As my eyes are bleeding from all the reading!!!

RachieW · 03/08/2009 22:41

MM- Who was he, he looked familar and yes it is so depressing, I don't know why I watch it really.

Ronshar- Thank you, am feeling much better after it all and fingers crossed me and dh are working more as a team at the moment. I hope your b'day is an improvement on Mothers Day

Night all

Marthasmama · 03/08/2009 22:58

Wow Ronshar! W must a long string bean of a baby! He looks sooooo tall and is loads lighter than my huge chunky monkey. Hope your girls take your threats seriously, heaven help them if they don't.

Rachie - It was Big Cook!!!! Check out my actor recognition skills.

Hey all, I'm off to aerobics again tomorrow, been to work again today to finish something I started on friday, so I won't be back in till next week now (i'm doing half a day a week keep in touch days until end Aug when my maternity leave finishes and my holidays start woo hoo proper wages!). Had a bit of a ropey start this morning but am feeling ok now.

Has anyone heard from Purpleflower? It seems she's going through a hard time from her FB status updates. If you read this PF then don't forget we're here if you need a rant x

I had my first half glass of wine in 3 weeks tonight, loverly! I'm now 100% convinced it's my period not a bleed so PG scare officially over, I'm saving the second test for a later date...

I'm off to bed anyway, night all!

Honeymoonmummy · 03/08/2009 23:59

Apologies for the lack of punctuation in that post!!

heather1980 · 04/08/2009 09:01

helloooooooo.
goodness me i've not been on mn for ages!!
hope all is well with everyone.
alex is really well, clapping, waving, chattering away to himself.he can also climb the stairs!
he has 6 teeth now and each one has been painful and snotty. he only got 2 yesterday and before that he looked like a little vampire, he had 2 bottom front ones and the 2 top eye teeth with nothing in the middle!

he's still not sleeping through and has decided that 6:30am is the time to start the day his sleep is better than it was though and he goes down at 7pm up at 10pm, midnight and 3am. i have bags on bags under my eyes.
he's also really clingy and i can hardly put him down. i remember dd doing the same at his age so i hope it passes soon.

Marthasmama · 04/08/2009 11:14

Morning all. DS has been in a much better mood today, thank goodness!

Hello Heather. M is in the early waking club too now. She still has no teeth and has lost her clinginess as she wants to crawl everywhere.

Hmm - I don't think I'm friends with PF on facebook. I hope she's ok.

Argh DS is getting a mood with the Wii again.....

MM i hope that it passes soon, he is cruising now round the furniture so i hope that it's just a phase, but i went back to work a few weeks ago and i suspect that has something to do with it.

Poor Purple flower. It does seem like things have reached crisis point for her and DP.

Heather, the clinginess passes. Unfortunatly it moves on to you racing round the house trying to find the intrepid explorers.

MM Yes W is long. He has inherited his fathers genes. No hips, blond hair and blue eyes. Rather than mine which is massive hips/ass, dark brown hair and green/brown.

Pistachio, painting class? What are you painting? Walls or something with a bit more class?.

Myjob. You are still a fab mummy even if a bit frazzled at the moment.

Off swimming with ALL the children. Wish me luck as I may drown. Or drown one of them not sure.

purpleflower · 04/08/2009 15:09

Hi

I've read through but don't really have the time to write a long post.

I just wanted to thank you for your kind messages. DP and I have split up and he has moved out. It was a mutual decision. Now he has lost me his eyes have opened and he has apologised for the way he has treated me. He agrees that I need him away from me to be able to get myself better. I'm not doing too badly at the moment, I've had alot of support, the MN local ladies have been fantastic.

The DCs are ok, DS is a bit confused but he's ok and DD doesn't really seem too bothered.

PF - I'm really sorry to hear that. It's good that you have so much support though and that you and DP appear to be still talking

CantSleepWontSleep · 04/08/2009 20:04

Glad to hear that you have lots of support pf. Am sure that it will take some time to get over properly, but just take one day at a time at the moment .

We finally have new bedrooms windows to replace the cracked and burned ones from the fire - hurrah! We need a new windowsill now though, as this window is further out than the old one, so there's now a big gap! Will hopefully be getting one fitted on Friday.

Also got the trampoline built that is my b'day present from my parents (there was nothing I really wanted, so asked for something for the kids instead). Unfort I am too heavy to go on it , so might need to go on a diet for a bit.

Ds actually slept fairly well eventually last night. Had a feed at 4am and then slept til 8 . He's only had one 35 min nap all day today as a result, so hopefully he'll have a good sleep tonight. He's still snotty, but not as much as yesterday.
Dh also now has manflu a bit of a cold.

Purple flower. I really hope things get easier for you now. Although maybe if xdp realises what an ass he has been then he may still surprise you. Good that the children are ok.

Pistachio, can you not ask for vouchers for Debenhams or John Lewis. Noone will ever know you spent them in Oasis or Coast then

CSWS. A new window, soon a whole new house Did you not get anything for yourself? You are obviously a much better person than I. My birthday is the only day that I insist on just things for me and I only share if I feel like it. Come this Sat I am in the hairdresser, then down town with my best friends for dinner and then maybe even in a pub!!!. DH is not invited.

We all made it back from swimming. No probs. Maybe having three children isnt so bad.. We are off to Chessington tomorrow. I shall take some paracetamol for the inevitable headache.

Marthasmama · 04/08/2009 23:24

I am just popping on quickly to say I am more than likely coming along to Warwick. I am feeling better, Myjob and Mr Myjob found us a hotel so we can break the travelling part up so we're geared up to come. Now, all I need to do is lose half my body weight in three weeks.....

PF - I can't pop on without saying, I am very sorry to hear that things have gone they way they have for you and not so DP. I hope you're getting the right support now and that you're starting to feel better. You're doing the right thing for you and your babies. (((((hugs))))

Hurrah MM! Am so looking forward to meeting you.

I did ask for some IPL (hair removal) treatment from dh, but he didn't organise it. I got this cookbook though, which Aubergenie would love - all the cakes have veggies in them! And a couple of these clever bowls that don't take up my whole cupboard!
