Brain dead now. Has been hectic again here. Busy at work, busy at home and was out last night with some of the Mum's from B's class which was lovely.

Off to my brothers' new pad tomorrow and me, db and Mum are going out to lunch Really looking forward to it.

Hope everyone is ok and enjoying the hols. Shame about the weather tho eh?

Laptop has been broken for a month so have felt like i've had a limb missing for 4 weeks.

Hoping dh will get time to fix it this week as I have decamped to Northumberland with the dc. My brother and partner had the baby on Monday, dd Hannah born by emergency cs after 3failed ventouse attempts.Can't wait to meet her tomorrow!

Have to go and be sociable with iLs now. Will try and post again tomorrow.

Leaky, congrats! Hope the il's are ok.

Had a busy few days here. Went to db's new house on Friday - picked up Mum en route. It is AMAZING!!! Lots of work to be done, but so much scope. Today we have been out with friends for a picnic by the river, where we were joined by 4 horses. They would not leave! It was quite funny really especially when one of them did the most enormous wee. K has been banging on about it ever since!!

Have also had an update on Mum. The C has spread to her lungs and liver I am quite shocked to say the least. However, she has been receiving a drug which has shrunk the tumours (Avastin), and the oncologist is really pleased with her progress. I am not sure what the prognosis is, but atm, she is doing really well and we are just keeping everything crossed.

SOL - don't know what to say except that I think your attitude is absolutely right. Am sending lots of love and prayers to you and your lovely family.

A lovely friend has lent us a tent, and loads of other stuff, so we are def going camping at some time this week, even if it's just for one night

Have read absolutely nothing so have no idea what's happening with anyone I'm afraid, can anyone catch me up?!

I am currently sat in a hotel room in south of France, stranded!! Have had a week in lovely house with a lake (paid for mostly with clubcard vouchers!!) then were supposed to be going up to jamie's mum's place further north til Thursday but clutch went on jamie's car Friday. Luckily we have breakdown insurance but they been shit! Finally booked us into 2 seperate 2 bed rooms in hotel in middle of an industrial zone on edge of perigueux where car is being fixed, they took too long fannying about to get us a hire car even though we had found one for them so we are now stuck here til car fixed, hopefully tomorrow. And today it has decided to piss it down we spent 2 hours sat in mac ds this afternoon cos they have a big soft play bit so not too bad but now back in hotel watching French cartoons and bored silly, we should have been on the beach at les sables de l'onne (I think I've spelt that right!) where apparently it is sunny [frustrated]. But I do have free wi-fi in the hotel so making the most of free time to come see you!!!!
Am currently downloading series 1 of Thomas tank engine onto my iPod for Dylan to watch but not sure I actually want to let him as I'll never be able to get it back!!!
Other news - all going well, nathan doing brilliantly at school which is huge relief, Reading books that appear to be at yr3 level and also some maths at yr 3!! Dylan being a little tinker but incredibly cute and more manageable than nath at same age which big relief!! Maia seems to have struggled slightly this yr at school but am hoping it was due to her having about 5 or 6 different teachers over the course of the year so assuming her new teacher isn't pregnant this yr I hope she will do better again!
Not childminding yet but am due to start having a friend's 9 month old dd 1 day a week from next week and have a couple more lined up for sept. Not actually got registration through yet but allvthey were waiting for is reference from my friend as 1st one gotblost in post and I know she sent it last week so hoping registration be through when I get home!! Am very excited!!!

Reeling a bit here. Have heard today that a good friend has brest cancer - op scheduled for next week. She has already lost a close relation to this disease. She has four daughters. I just can't believe it. Please remember her in your thoughts and prayers.

Sorry I haven't been around much, been busy but main reason is that our network/laptop/phone line is playing up and so long periods of time where we just can't connect. If I vanish, please don't assume I'm having a baby!

Orla Katherine born 15.59 08/08/09. Didn't get my homebirth but still a fantastic experience and got our lotus birth. Will post more details when my mw imposed 7 days of total bedrest are up and I can see what I'm typing!
