EachPeachPearMum · 18/07/2009 19:56

tree- aren't you dairyfree anymore?

treedelivery · 18/07/2009 19:59

DD can tolerate me having about 1-2 cups of tea a day. A pizza is dairy to far. But a slice of cake is ok if I cut back the next few days.

There you go! Bonkers but true.

How's it going EPPM?

treedelivery · 18/07/2009 20:00

dairy too far

PatTheHammer · 18/07/2009 20:05

Oh no tree where did you go that was so mean to you?? It was expensive but a treat for Dd from relative thank god.

Eppm any signs of illness with you and DC's?

Oh, and DH bought some krispy kreme doughnuts from selfridges for us today............OH..............My............GOD......they are good

treedelivery · 18/07/2009 20:13

NO I AM NOT PREGNANT, CALM DOWN!

I have never had a Krispy Kreme doughnut.

I hate living so far away from big shops

Ballet: T'was the box office manager and the general manager. He accused me of lying. I am in the process of complaining to the council who run the theatre. He called another lady in the line up [who was less calm about the pricing mix up] a common lowlife! Brave man, I wouldn't have!
I was really nice about it too, I just said I found the poster misleading and was upset at the aggressive response of the staff I dealt with. I could have said a lot more, but she was so horrible it made me want to maintain the moral highground and wind her up even more.

EachPeachPearMum · 18/07/2009 20:15

Pat... we could have met up! (well, SF aside...)

We are all clear still, DH is on the mend this evening thankyou. Rough 48 hours though, am off to bed (honest)

rrrayray · 18/07/2009 20:18

HKZ Hope you have a wonderful hen night, i'll second you in the fact my hen night wont have a stripper, horns, or L plates. Not me at all!

moose & Tree & anyone else thats poorly, get well soon.

OH back tomorrow, will leave Sussex lunchtime to ensure we're home before him & my sainsburys order!

PatTheHammer · 18/07/2009 20:27

tree I have just had another . Holding it up to the screen so you can at least smell it! get thee to a Selfridges as soon as you can

Box office manager=twat in that scenario.......common lowlife

EPPM, thought of you and moose today actually as we drove into Brum. though obviously I don't really know where either of you live . Good news that all still clear.

ray just packing for sussex now, what's the weather like? Hope you have fun when OH back .

HKZ I banned all that gubbins from my hen night, we just had a classy little badge. Started out a classy affair and then turned into the usual debauched affair . Fun though. Stayed at the Metropole in Brighton for a spa day and went to Hove dogs and few cheesy clubs later. God it was great, my last good night out I reckon as seem to have been preggars or feedng since the wedding!

missjackson · 18/07/2009 20:55

Too much chat!

pat Angelina Ballerina sounds lovely and as for krispy kremes - god, I miss them. They were treat of choice in the BB studios, great big boxes of the naughty little things laid out everywhere.

Boo, hugs and lots of tissues for those with swine flu/ man flu and any other types of crappy feelings. I just had my Dad on the phone worried he had SF but went thru the NHS symptom list with him and we ended up diagnosing ..... a common cold.

qumps what a great result with S - you def shouldn't feel guilty with that kind of result. Would be hard if he yelled for an hour.

Lenni sorry to hear about bf issues but am sure you will be right back on track. And great to have stockpiled so much. I have a measly three little 3oz bags, barely enough for one feed!

dog am amazed and impressed that you find time to ride with 3 kids - does OH put them to bed while you go out on your steed? Hope she wasn't too mad for you tonight.

hkz hope you have a great hen night!

So last night Nye fell off the bed! I settled him to sleep in the middle of our bed, but we then got 'distracted' and ended up falling asleep in the spare room... both woke up out of deep sleep to hear a thud and a scream, and have never run so fast in my life. To my horror he was on the floor crying - I picked him up and cuddled him and he stopped crying within about 20 seconds, and seemed fine, and there is not even a bump on his head, but it took me a lot longer to calm down - such a rush of pure adrenaline... he must have rolled a couple of times to get from the middle to the edge. Needless to say, we will not be taking that risk again. Feel terrible. Bad mama.

rrrayray · 18/07/2009 21:06

missj poor nye, and poor you! Esme's breathing monitor went off this evening while my parents and i were having dinner and i have never run so fast in my life. she was absolutely fine, and breathing away sleeping happily, so can only assume maybe she was breathing very shallow, or had rolled too far from main sensor pat. Put her closer to it & hasn't gone off again- but like you, took me forever to calm down after adrenaline. Oh, and good on you for having some couple time, OH and i have bearly been 'there' since having Esme. Feel awful. I thought it was BF supressing my libdo, but you are BF too. So now i don't know what my excuse is OH being extremely good about it though!

Pat I don't even like usual sugared jam donughts, but even i can appreciate Krispy Kremes. There is an outlet in Bluewater now. I have often brought a tray home for us! Mmmmmm. Afraid its currently raining, its been rather sunshine and showers for the last few days. Think same as everywhere else!

tinkisback · 18/07/2009 21:41

hi

sorry to all you poorlys

got cream @ gum clinic to sort out down out

got bits in next sale

PatTheHammer · 18/07/2009 21:56

Oh, poor Nye MissJ! And poor you! This is where I shamefully admit to Zach doing the same thing a few weeks ago, luckily he thudded onto our duvet which, slattterns that we are, was on the floor by the bed. Thank god for poor housekeeping! However, I was just downstairs Fb-ing and I think DH was watching sport so no saucy action here .

That was when I decided to settle zach in the nursery and put straight in cot. DD now goes to sleep in our bed, to avoid waking him as he tends to go earlier than her, and we shift her over when we go up to bed.

ray packed raincoats and wellies, left DD's bikini and Zach's beach-wear as the forecast does not look like a lot of beachtime. Sorry about the , didn't realise you were feeling like this. I think it is the BF-ing TBH. I rarely feel up to much these days............rather have a doughnut

Tink hope lady-bits better soon. Didn't find much in the online sale. Think I'll go with mum in the week to the one in Chichester.

So, crawling going very well. Much more confident today, sychronising arms and legs well and less 'collapsing'. Looks so pleased with himself, especially when he gets one of DD's toys (usually his main objective). Started sleeping better since moving, perhaps this is the turning point

LenniEd · 18/07/2009 22:07

DS found his own way of getting about. You know that 80s dance move where people lift their front halves up on their arms (like the yoga pose in sun sequence) and then drop down and kind of move forwards on their tummy - he has it down to a tee. Bloody nuisance.

Hope BF gets sorted MissJ - although I've had enough in some ways. I really want to carry on to 12 months and esp with swine flu around, but I am longing for my body and life back now. I am starting to feel a bit overwhelmed by motherhood lately, really lost in it. I love them both to bits and am so glad to have had the chance to be at home with them but I really need to find my identity again soon, BF isn't all that compatitble with that.

Our night away was meant to be a romantic occasion after the work was done, but ended up being a bit of a disaster with me having to express milk on and off all evening and then not being able to let DH anywhere near me for fear of milk vesuviating everywhere.

Oh yes, sorry - also should say we did similar with DD - she rolled off a footstool and wailed for England at around 4mo. DH's fault. Hence not batting an eyelid at your oversight MissJ. As Dog says it is a rite of passage - and you'll not do it again, for a while anyway.

MissJ - sorry for your shock. They do these things and it moulds us. Jess bounced down every stair in the house at 18 months. I thought she was dead. She had a shiner and an apple size bump on her forehead. I shook for 3 days. Awful, we have all had the feeling.

SHe also fell forward out of a bouncy chair, right out onto her head on the wooden floor. I came in and found her face down with her legs tangled in the waist strap. [When they say not for babies who can pull themselves up they mean it!]
She was also found, in her playpen, with 3 rusty screws in her mouth. She had got her hand in a tiny gap in a drawer she could reach, a dump drawer, and pulled them out. We had no idea how many she had sucked or eaten - so casualty did the meta detector test. It was quite cute watching her face as she defended her tummy against them! The machine picked nothing up thank lord!

And we were in a car accident when she was 11 weeks. Triggered a nasty depression in me [along with awful NPower problems] although her ladyship never even woke up!

Did I tell you about my exploding milk? I had a dream we had a leaking roof, vue masses of dream anxiety about money and what to do. When I finally woke I realised I had fallen asleep feeding and had no top on, and milk was spurting straight up and landing on my forehead!! I still giggle thinking about it.

LenniEd · 18/07/2009 22:34

When I was pg I thought 6 months would be enough - tbh when I started feeding I thought 6 weeks was too long to last! Now I just don't know what to do - I love feeding him and he is easy enough to feed, I'm just a bit tired of being so tied to him all the time. Meanwhile DH actually has a life and an identity of his own, and I'm still milk machine. I guess it gets easier once they drop to morning and evenings - when does that happen then? Sometime soon??

Love your dream Tree. Kind of thing I do.

Not so nice about the car accident.

I would be far too ashamed to list all the mishaps I've had with DD. Had a couple of bad ones just today. One where I fell into a stairgate and it came down on top of her with me on top of it. Dreadful. Thought I would have broken both her legs. Thankfully all ok. Not a run-of-the-mill occurance btw. Never happened before thank goodness.

Thanks Dog.

Poor Arlo. We've had a few sick feeling ones too - our dog once trod on DD's head when he tripped and fell over the step into the kitchen. Was pretty horrid - he's a big dog. The worst ones are the near misses, when you realise you could have really hurt them with a slight slip or having done something a bit later or whatever. DD a loon for running around and we are constantly being tripped up by her. Of course she always comes off worse since she is so little. She also has a thing for jumping off stuff. She jumps off the top of our stairs quite a bit and just expects you to catch her - hence stairgate city around here.

LenniEd · 18/07/2009 22:52

Er, Dog... have you got married?
