Morning all.
Well I have some good news!
I actually got an apology from DP First thing when he got home, he gave me hug and said 'I'm sorry about last night' So peace and harmony are restored. I was in bed by 1030 last night, definitely asleep before midnight, was woken by DP's alarm this morning but then went back to sleep till about 9. So feeling much more human now. If Seb woke last night I slept right through it.
Seb is: cruising on furniture, finally crawling properly, waves hello goodbye and goodnight, claps his hands, and absolutely pigs down solid food.
And he's just woken up so got to run.

AnnVan · 10/07/2009 12:28

Oh and Miamla I've emailed you.
Oh and the Quinny Buzz is huge. And it really doesn't fold down much at all! Friend I was with yesterday has one, and she says it takes up the entire boot of their car.

No1 come to kent for your holiday!! lots of touristy stuff here, very pretty, and we could meetup for lunch in Rochester

TwilightSurfer · 10/07/2009 12:36

morning.

i'd like to say it was a good night. reese didn't require food until 6am BUT i had to reset her pacey 3 times. that means i didn't get to sleep through. i was fuzzy headed by 6am and failed to put the top on her bottle. YES it went all over both of us and the bed when i handed it to her. then i yelled at dh for not helping out...at which he rolled over.

lack of sleep does wonders for my personality.

expectant i saw your note. honestly her reply was a bit . i can't say i would jump at the offer with as little as they are being "offered".

miamla i'd be a little grumpy too.

i have been invaded. dcs on either side of me. one asking about breakfast. the other just saying dad, dad, dad, dad, dad. guess i should go.

Miamla · 10/07/2009 12:49

have a listen to this and tell me what you think
I think its really lovely and almost clicked to buy the album when i decided to listen to preivew first...their other songs are rubbish!

ann ok, i'll have a look now

ts i apologised for being grumpy to him and he said its ok, he had his grump shield activated this morning!
Did DH roll oever to help or to sleep?
what's for breakfast? its lunch time here but i'll tkae an american breakfast for lunch if you're offering

i really like that song miamla. reminds me a bit of christmas music.

he rolled over to get 10 more minutes of sleep. he doesn't like my "tantrums".

just fb'd with sarahnh. she's doing well.

dd1 is still asking about her breakfast. i must go.

LoveBuckets · 10/07/2009 13:22

Hi all

For more pleasant/cheaper softplay experiences, check out your local leisure centres. Not always nice coffee, depends how big it is.

Crap night last night, I couldn't get warm, ended up putting leggings and t-shirt over my nightie, despite room temp being 23degrees. Kurt was up variously from midnight, DS1 kept waking, wailing and going back to sleep. Was in bed with him from 5am again, 6-7 was spent trying to snooze with him climbing, bopping, hairpulling and playing noisily on top of me.

I think the key to handling an umbrella-fold or stroller is to get a decent backpack. All those pretty shoulder bags we were oggling last year become just plain annoying when you get into stroller territory. Our supercheapy stroller is too short for me in heels, so do try them out! I have to hold the handles with the tips of my fingers.

alittlebitshy · 10/07/2009 14:12

at the thought of me wearing heels. I'd be headfirst in the nearest ditch.

Ds woke at half 9 last night which is v early for him, then at 10.45 he was screaming and screaming. wouldn't feed, was pulling his legs up and was clearly in pain Eventually i cuddled him back to sleep poor mite It scares me when he (and dd) are hurt

AnnVan · 10/07/2009 14:58

Mmm just had a lovely lunch of grilled mackerel with salad and fat free dressing. Fresh Mackerel really is lovely. Seb currently munching away on some tortelloni pasta for his lunch. And he's looking very happy about it

ALBS poor little H It is awful when there's not much you can do to comfort them isn't it?
Saw IlanaK in the Independent yesterday (an article on brestfeeding)

dizzydixies · 10/07/2009 16:48

ALBS hope he's feeling better soon, pulling up the knees sounds like a poop/wind issue

Oops Tiger That Came to Tea was fabulous thank you for asking. Was the first time I've taken DD2 to the theatre and she's wasn't best pleased about going in but absolutely LOVED it - was a delight to watch them both and Dylan sat on my friend's knee just taking it all in

not a great night here again, DD1 wet the bed, DD2 came through for a wee and then wanted in our bed, DH came in after midnight and up again to be away by 6am and Dylan up then too - am pooped. I've stuff to do tonight for the trust/cafe but after that I'm off to bed

saw this today and pathetically chuffed Dylan's christening was also mentioned in the local paper as the church weekly roundup

dizzydixies · 10/07/2009 16:51

pertelote the 31st is Dylan's birthday but DH is working until 5pm so doubt we'll be dong anything - who on earth in Scotland gets married at 11am we here, speaking on behalf of the scottish nation, prefer a more sociable kick off of about 2pm so we can get in some bar time prior to the main event Poppy is literally in St Andrews and I'm only about 15mins drive so its not a problem at all - we'll iron it all out once Poppy back from hols

cyteen his trapped nerve couldn't have been that bad then

AnnVan · 10/07/2009 17:17

Oh dear. Have just spent some money. Should know not to go on the weenotions site. Ah well, have ordered two totally GORGEOUS new nappies. Will have to post pics once they arrive.

AnnVan · 10/07/2009 17:23

Some people are pram bores, I'm a nappy bore.

oopsacoconut · 10/07/2009 17:23

Hi All

DH take DD for a walk, I am mning cleaning before his parents come to babysit so we can go out to dinner. We are eating posh tonight so need to scrub up too.

Dizzy - I hope tonight is better and DH gets home reasonably early.

Back later as I better have at least hoovered by the time they get back!

dizzydixies · 10/07/2009 18:06

oh oh I have the christening photos so have popped them on FB

Dylan not been sick since yesterday but there has definately been something been bothering her stomach as her nappies are making my eyes peel [bleurgh]

LoveBuckets · 10/07/2009 18:22

Feeling strangely energetic this evening, have been pogoing to music all around DH to annoy him.

Friend who came for tea not sleeping over after all so DH all twinkling and suggestive at me (must be my bouncing, like Catalina in My Name Is Earl). Trying to work out how I can fit in Captain Corelli, Torchwood, a shag and an early night in one evening - will have to Sky+ Torchwood and watch it at 6am with Kurt before the other two wake up. I have a feeling it might kill the rudemood anyway...

dizzydixies · 10/07/2009 18:22

one on profile for limited time too

LoveBuckets · 10/07/2009 18:23

BTW someone at our preschool has swine flu!

LoveBuckets · 10/07/2009 18:23

BTW someone at our preschool has swine flu!

alittlebitshy · 10/07/2009 18:45

a few people at school have had it too. Oh well.....

oopsacoconut · 10/07/2009 18:55

Our Church has it too - so we are avoiding for the moment.

MIL just popped over to pick something up , they are babysitting in 40mins she asked if DH and DD had been for a walk, so I said yes and she replied:.... I thought you were cleaning whilst they were out??

pooo alert back in a bit!

sambo303 · 10/07/2009 19:49

softplay was fantastic not least because of the huge bouncy castle which was absolutely brilliant for us (not so amusing for the babies rolling about in the aisles as we bounced around like idiots). Ds liked being up to his neck in balls too . We'll definitely be back.

I have a slight sore throat...is it swine flu?

dp is on emergency wine run....we ordered the Wire series one, hope it's good

cyteen · 10/07/2009 19:56

Lovely photos dizzy

Ok, DS seems to be having his first night ever of deliberate "I will not go to sleep even though I am knackered" He wants to roll and play, and I know his teeth are hurting him too (wherever they are), but honestly he is in bed yelling and crying and complaining, with DP sat next to him with head in hands. I know there's nothing much wrong as DS happily listened to DP telling him a story - it's just when you stop all the hugging/playing/story time/singing etc. that he starts going mental.

Any advice?

cyteen · 10/07/2009 19:56

sambo The Wire is AMAZING, deserving of every bit of hype it's received. Just give it a few episodes and you'll be hooked.

TwilightSurfer · 10/07/2009 20:30

Well Buckets I've never heard of pogoing being a turn on. You and your DH are a riot!! LOL!!!

Dizzy your pictures on FB are dreamy. The food looks like it came out of magazine ad. Your family is BEAUTIFUL...all of them!!!

Oops why would your MIL ask such a silly question. Your house is obviously in top form. She must need glasses.

The ZOO was a HIT! DD1 kept exclaiming, "I LOVE OUR TOWN!" We took a picture of one of the Red Pandas for midi-Sazzles. The other animals seemed to all be primed for photo taking. At one point though a female peacock almost sat on my head. I was all caught up in taking pictures of her soon to be mate and didn't notice her land right beside my head until she squawked. I nearly came out of my shoes. Bottom Line: WE HAD A BLAST!

dizzydixies · 10/07/2009 21:04

ROFL at Cataline on Earl - I love that programme
