Miamla not a hope of my remembering but thanks to the power of ctrl-f I see what it was Jolly good, meet you there then?
Oh and you would have to make a skirt out of magnifying glasses to make your bum look big in it!

Happy birthday ALBS! The year I was 30 was the best yet so hope you can say the same - maybe without the whole 'having a baby' business though

Quick hi to everyone else. Off to the ILs overnight so will catch up tomorrow.

TwilightSurfer · 16/07/2009 12:43

Shreddies was NOT what midi-Surfer was looking for this morning when . Why oh Why do children not come with pre-installed bells so you can HEAR where they are at all times??? It would be beneficial on SO MANY LEVELS!!!

TwilightSurfer · 16/07/2009 12:47

Reese is sitting at my feet eating cheerios off the floor. They were on a plate but after eating two she decided dumping the plate would work better for her.

Now she's in my lap. She's all decked out in SPONGEBOB pajamas which makes her look like SUCH A BIG GIRL!!! [proud momma]

Hi everyone.
Have caught up gradually but forgotten everything (as usual)
I have a poorly boy here today. He had blood in his morning nappy, which also had an eye-watering smell. And he's crying when he wees, so seems to be a water infection I've got an appointment for him to see the doctor this afternoon. I really hope there aren't loads of piggy-flu afflicted people there. So he'll probably be on anti-biotics now. Good thing about using cloth nappies though - we're going to wring out his nappy to get a urine sample.

On the plus side, I got a delivery from Amazon yesterday, so have some trashy entertaining books to read now. Right, am going to bury myself in book 3 of the Twilight Saga (strangely addictive you know)

Oh and sambo how annoying for you about the 4 day week Mums have a right to flexible/reduced working hours.

sambo303 · 16/07/2009 14:28

ann I loved the Twilight series! Enjoy!! And get the film out too...twas brill! I have the next movie date in my diary. I have to say that although I could be his mother I did swoon at the actor playing Edward

thanks for your kind words re job horror. Sadly Ann parents have only the right to ask for flexible working, not the right to receive. Yes vg I am an accountant, although at heart, an artist

dp home from work, he is ill, thinks he has swine flu; my diagnosis - man flu

well it was kinda meant to be a joke, to do something completely the opposite to what I was but 14 years on and the joke is wearing thin

After my blow about work my kneejerk response was to spend cash - just bought this they were out of orange so got the red one. Maclaren is being cleaned as we speak to go on ebay later. Hurrah for retail therapy, I feel better already!

TwilightSurfer · 16/07/2009 17:23

Sambo that looks very similar to a couple I have my eye on! NICE!! I thinks it neat you know what your calling is and what your calling isn't and have put it to work for you...even if it is wearing thin. I've never found my anything in the money making world but I have literally done "almost" everything. Education/Construction/Banking/IT are four lines of work I have duplicated in some way form or fashion throught the years. Oddly I've held a few jobs where three of the four were in play all at once. BTW I am very sorry about your notice.

dizzydixies · 16/07/2009 19:56

sambo you can request but they have to JUSTIFY their refusal and you can appeal - feckers

Happy birthday ALBS and Master GArdenia - hope DS1 feeling better VG and if not I agree completely for birthday weekend to be had

got to go for now but back later hopefully

TwilightSurfer · 16/07/2009 20:23

My cousin just announced she's pregnant, 7 weeks due first of March 2010. Seems antibiotics and birth control don't mix. On the coat tail of that announcement is the announcement she is getting married 03AUG in Florida. We just might be going back to the beach this year after all.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 16/07/2009 20:44

Hi

miamla Lol, hope you are feeling better.

vg for you're poor ds1, poorly on his birthday. That is so unfair for young ones.
I hope he is feeling better by now and has managed to have a wonderful day, I also hope he has managed some of that cake that you have lovingly made.

sambo I am so and on you're behalf. I hope you manage to find something else. If it was me I wouldn't give them the satisfaction of trying again. It is their loss. I realise that stubborness does not pay the bills though. I am sure you know what I mean.

vg hope the result was what you wanted, and sorry but had to laugh at dd1 and shreddies.
Lovely news on another pregnancy anouncment.

albs hope you have had a wonderful day also.
ann poor ds, that must be awful. Hope he is ok.
Lots of bugs and sickness flying around at the moment. I am fine now apart from a dose of cabin fever from staying in all week.
Dc's seem back to normal. I gave toddler group a miss today though, and my friend who runs it rang to see where i was, and said that 12 cases of pig flu in the village have been confirmed now.

dizzy did you get the phone sorted out?
Hi to evryone just in case I have missed anybody. sorry if I have.

dizzydixies · 16/07/2009 20:44

lovely news TS

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 16/07/2009 20:47

hotter I hope you are feeling better also.

Anyone know when sazzles is back??

sambo nice pram choice,It is very lightweight. I am tempted myself.

buckets not you're fault you forgot about ds at night. He is doing great now out of nappies isnt he, so understandable you overlooked night time.
Hope he is ok about it.

dizzydixies · 16/07/2009 20:54

am two out of 3 kids down as the eldest two are away staying with my aunt - WAHEY

we had a lovely day as its still the local festival so they were putting on a Pirate workshop which DD1 went to this morning. I took DD2 to the cafe where I volunteer and dropped in a raspberry blackwell cake at the same time. Back to the library later for some story telling which was nice for all the DDs and then off down to meet my aunt halfway. Dh and I went to dinner with Dylan who utterly charmed the people sitting next to us and now home

the girls will be happy as pigs in muck at the farm over the next few days and I will be miserable doing the housework all weekend whilst I get peace

Steaknife · 16/07/2009 21:31

Sazzles is heading to Calais tonight so I guess she will be home tomorrow. I'm off to dust down the thread's wine cellar as she is loaded up with plonk.

TwilightSurfer · 16/07/2009 21:50

Thanks Dizzy I think it's lovely news too. The baby will be absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I've never met the boy involved in this but I just looked at his picture on FB. He's a looker. I'm just going to keep my fingers crossed all goes well. Her mom (my aunt) had difficult pregnancies and had miscarriages... 7 weeks is really early, you know. Youth is on their side. They're 21ish.

Steaky while your dusting the wine cellar would you care for some cheese?
