Welcome to your spanking new thread girls.

Roll call please!

Lizz you're deffo not a SAHM if you work part-time in my opinion. Well, obviously there's degrees of how you balance work/home, which are different for different people. PTWM sounds good to me!

It's funny but I already feel a bit sad that I might not be pregnant again after this time! I might feel different in another couple of months when i'm completely fed up of it. But this time, like last time, i've had an easy 2nd trimester and am loving being preggers now! So even though I think we'll probably just have 2, I am a bit sad that I might not get to do this again!!

eandh · 27/08/2009 19:46

Eening - sorry not been around have been catching up with last minute meet ups/looking fater friends dc and life before school starts on 7th Sept been to visit my Nan today and girls had a lovely day playing in her garden (soft touch Great grandma provided plenty of water to play with )

Cant remember all eprsonlas but

DH yep uniform done, labelled and ready to go (will upload picture on my profile in a mo she looks so grown up)

Lizz def NOT a sahm I think part time harder than full time as I try to do as much work as possible and spend half teh time catching up and feel guilty that I cant help if they are short staffed etc

Who asked about feeling broody I do get odd pangs of thinking another child would be lovely (Dh would jump at the chance) however I am so excited about having some childfree time in a few weeks and i am not sure I could face another few years of some little person at home

Right am sorry to whoever I missed and will try and get on here a bit more!

eandh · 29/08/2009 06:47

I am sure you all remember Trinity who was on our antenatel thread - some awful news that her dh was killed this week just thought I'd post here so if anyone wanted to leave a message here for her I have read so many threads where she has been struggling with depression and the girls/housework etc et etc and the one thing she always always said was how wonderful and supportive her dh was

2Happy · 30/08/2009 11:27

Fuck.

JessieDog · 30/08/2009 17:23

Hello ladies (LTH here)

was just looking in for trinity and her awful news...so sad.

I thought I'd pop in and any Hi...not that I ever stick around much. sorry about that.

Congratualtions 2happy, when are you due?

Wilkie, I've been away so long I missed your announcemnet so Congratulations to you too. How old is L now? Very cute name btw.

there seems to be alot of new small additions to teh thread. Congrats to you all.

As for more babies here...NO-WAY. NOT EVER.
I thank GOD we didn't succeed in the madness of trying for no5 all those months ago. I'd rather stick pins in my eyes now. I haven't got a single ounce of broodiness left in me now and I LOVE it.

Wilkiepedia · 01/09/2009 18:25

Just a quick post - L getting grouchy

Poor poor TrinityRhino. I can't imagine what she is going through and just makes you so thankful for what you have got.

LTH - nice to see you on here! I don't blame you re another baby, 4 is more than enough!!!!

Have booked to have Mirena coil fitted. Am apprehensive about it but hope it is the right decision.

L full blown screeching now.................

laughalot · 02/09/2009 09:43

Hello sorry for my shit posting efforts !!

Well first I just have to say how terrible it must be for trinity . Live life to the full you dont know what is around the corner.

We have been busy bees we went to glasgow just me and dh to see my db had a fab weekend just eating and getting drunk really. We came back the monday and took the kids on tuesday to yarmouth had a fab few days kids loved it. Now its all go ready for school in the morning.

Wilkie my friend at work had the coil fitted a few months back. She was advised to take paractemol a hour before she had it fitted and take it easy for the rest of the day. She said it was ok bit like a smear but a bit more painfull, she did however have on and off bleeding for weeks she said that she was constantly wearing panty liners just in case. Im sure everyone is different.

Rgee hows things with you did you sort your itunes out lol. Love your fb pics.

Vino christmas shopping your well on the ball. How are e and s ? Did you book your india trip ?

Pcf im loving the pics of t on fb he is so cute. Is a looking forward to school ? Aidan is but he has a male teacher this term, he is very nice . Is m a little helper with t or not ?

2Happy hows baby bump ? Am still your pg dont think I could do it again now. Have you picked some names or is it a secret ?

Lth nice to hear from you again I bet your ready for the new school term. Im sure it must cost you a bloody fortune sorting there uniforms out.

Shimmer hows your baby bump ? Have you picked any names ? How is the book shop coming on ?

Lizz go on have another you know you want to . If I had l first I wouldnt have had any more, she is a devil for pinching at the minute it drives me mad and also the other day she ran down the yard straight into the road luckily its a quiet road but you never know. The thing is she looks so cute but she is a sod.

Eah not got anything to say to you as iv spoken to you twice today .

Right im off xx

Hi all.
Very sad about Trinity's DH I can't believe it. Life's just so unfair sometimes.

Bump is coming along nicely thank you LL. Getting quite big now, though still got another 3 months to go! We have started thinking about names - boys & girls since we don't know. There's loads of girls names I like - i think Isabel (Bella), Sophie or Coco are front runners at the moment. Boys names are harder, and we'll probably go with one we rejected when having Freddie! Our next choice then was Gabriel, which I still really like. I also love Rocco, but I'd have some job convincing Gavin (not to mention my mum who I already know HATES it) on that one. What do you all think??? Do you like Rocco? and also does it matter what parents/grandparents think of your chosen names? Should they really have a say?

I'm in the US at the moment for a friend's wedding. It's nice, really sunny and nice hotel etc. But I do miss F and DH!! My friend said we'd do loads of stuff together while I was here, but, understandably I guess, she's mega busy with wedding preparations, so I have been left on my own quite a lot of the time. I keep fluctuating between loving the relaxing time to myself and feeling rather lonely and homesick!!

Lizzzombie · 04/09/2009 07:30

Morning everyone!

Hope you are all ok.
Poor Trinity & her family. Very tragic news. I hope she is getting plenty of RL support. Definately makes you realise how short life is when you hear of things like this.

PCF - So, when Alex is at school & Max is at nursery & Toby is asleep - does that mean you get some time to yourself?!! Best of luck getting the boys settled in to a new routine next week. I can't imagine DJ not going to nursery now. He loves it. (& so do I!)

Shimmer - Where are you in the US? I love Coco! And one of my RL mates has a DS called Gabriel.

LaL - of your weekend in Glasgow! Sounds fun.

Just a quick post as I'm supposed to be sorting stuff out as driving over to Lowestoft to visit IL's this afternoon.
Am in the middle of toilet training so its not good timing but hey. I have to admit though when we go out of the house I give in and put him in a pull up. I am terrified of him doing a poo in his pants. And definately don't want to deal with that out and about. But he's been really good asking to use the toilet and we've not used an actual potty for over a week now. Had to laugh yesterday though. 18 pairs of little pants on the washing line. I have 2 or 3 more packs in the loft. Think I'll be needing them.

Big hellos to everyone!
Are the Southerners still all up for Sunday September 27th at Monkey Bizness or Spring Barn Farm in Lewes?

Evening all.

LTH/JD - due 23rd Feb, and frankly I'm not sure I wouldn't rather stick pins in my eyes too

Wilkie - my dsis has a mirena and is fine with it. She thinks she might have put on a bit of weight, but that just made her take up running, which meant she got time out the house etc which probably makes her feel better than she ever did before!

Lal - no names, haven't even talked about it yet. Dh's family is very boy-heavy, so finding an unused boy's name (since the chances of it being pink are teeny) aren't high. ds2's a bugger for disppearing off too, though when we were at my sister's in London the other week we found ds1 had managed to get out and onto the road. In London

PCF - good luck for Monday! Hope the boys enjoy it, and you enjoy your time with Toby

Shimmer - ooh, US, lucky you. Hope the wedding's good. I'm not sure mothers should have any say in baby's names. I know enough people who hate their names, so it's not like our parents were all great name-choosers. It's your baby, it's your choice!

Lizz - sounds like the toilet training is getting there now. Well done! ds2 is clearly going to be as lazy that way as his borther

Eandh - how was the party?? Hope it went well. Had ds1 at a party today, but he appears to have inherited my social incompetence Poor fecker.

No news as usual here. Seem to have developed a bump this week but trying to avoid mat clothes for as long as possible. Sickness getting better. ds1 starts school on Wednesday. Hummmmmm. Nothing else really!

eandh · 06/09/2009 18:55

quick message as laptop being repaired and mn takes miles too long to load on my phone, we can't make that Sunday as dh has to pull out of triathlon as we have been asked to be godparents and it's that day (we were not expecting to be invites let alone be asked to be godparents!) def want to meet soon as was looking forward to it :-(

Lizzzombie · 08/09/2009 07:45

Wilkie - My sister has the mirena coil to. Has had no problems with it apart from having to have the thread trimmed when it was first fitted. To quote her, she "loves it". I reckon she still gets a dose of PMT even if she doesn't actually get periods. BUT - that could be just her!

EAH - Bummer about the 27th. Any other dates good? Sundays are best for me.

We brought a sledge at a car boot sale on Sunday! Am really excited for some snow now. Pity it was baking hot and not a cloud in the sky here yesterday and today too!

eandh · 16/09/2009 18:30

i'm here although just going out to preschool workshop Hattie starts preschool tomorrow and I am seriously considering starting to study for a degree

anyway eddas here to give me a lift

Reggiee · 16/09/2009 18:42

Bye Hi EaH. Hope the workshop was fun. Do they do a degree in organisation and time management? You'd get first class honours in no time .

vinorouge · 16/09/2009 23:01

hi!
Quick hello from vino who has been rushing about as usual. Off to the lake district for a week tomorrow. All ready!

Lizzzombie · 17/09/2009 07:15

Have a good holiday Vino. Where are you going? Was thinking about doing Lake District next year as I 've never been before. (is it freezing there in May?!)

Hello everyone else!

Rgee - Hows it all going?
Wilkie - What did you do for your birthday celebrations?
Eah - A degree - ooh...what type of subject are you thinking about?

I have to work an extra shift today as we are so short staffed. Not happy. 5 people left already, and another 2 about to. Will basically leave 4 of us. 3 of us have kids and do 16 hours and the other one is on a 8 hours contract as shes a student. The Area Manager hasn't even popped into see how we are getting on in the past 3 weeks of not having a manager and now shes on holiday for the next 2 weeks and we can't do interveiws for more staff till she is back. Its ridiculous!
The company I work for really couldn't organise a X in a X iykwim.

Had car MOT's/Serviced yesterday. £500!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The drivers seat belt had a hole/cut in it so it had to be replaced. OUCH. Don't think we'll be having Christmas this year. Wish I could just sell the car. I know it makes life easier in some ways...but loosing £500 is not making life easy.

Not sure re degree -I was thinking teaching assistant, however, I have had 5 different people from completely different places (school mum friends, work colleague/family etc) say to me about teaching so am going to investigate what I would need to do to be a primary school teacher.

My plan is that degree and post grad teacher training will take 3 or 4 years by which time Hattie will be in Year 2 of infants and workkng morwe hours will be possible it is such a big thing though and seems scary however it would be fantastic for my confidence to actually finish off my education (had a place to go to Portsmouth uni when I had finished my A Levels but bottled it)

Lizz - ouch at £500 how is DJ with his eating these days?

Vino - have a lovely week

Rgee - workshop was actually very interesting

Right need to get Hattie to preschool and but also

Reggiee · 17/09/2009 09:26

Vino probably missed you but have a fab holiday . Hope you get some r&r before your new job starts.

Lizz £500 big ouch. Reminds me our MoT is due next month.
Interesting to hear about your work. The company hasn't changed since I worked there eons ago. The area manager was total crap and staff were always leaving. Thankfully I was the student and always needed extra money so took on all additional shifts going. When they didn't have an overtime ban on that is. Which was pretty permanently. Retail eh.

Eah hope H enjoys today. Hope you put your feet up and have a leisurely cuppa when she's gone . Time to start planning baby no 3 .

Talking of which, 2H how you doing? And Shimmer, I can't believe how fast your pg is going .

Ohgotta go as little man has just woken up unhappy. Grumbly thing - think he's teeth are bothering him. PCF how's things with ?

Hello to Wilkie (where are you? When are your hols btw?) and Lal .

eandh · 17/09/2009 11:02

Lol Regee - exactly what dh wants (baby no 3) however I don't and gotlots pf heavily pg friends so will get any baby fixes from them not quite so peaceful here asEllie home as still on half day afternoon sessions but shes watching a dvd and chilling whilst I get a few bits done. She has a friend (a boy!!) coming for tea after school so v.excited!

Haqd a text from preschool and she is having a lovely time, hasntmissed me at all and has been playing play doh all morning

laughalot · 18/09/2009 22:11
