oh no oops poor Poppy - she'd be better with something heavy like a kiddie chair or something without wheels until she finds her feet

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 15/06/2009 20:38

out of mine too dizzy, would be better off with a shetland, much more hardy and not so dainty
oops I am looking for something like that too, fancy a babywalker for outside, as dh will not allow one in the kitchen.
ds is getting very frustrated atm

therealpf · 15/06/2009 20:40

oops agree with dizzy

Toby is considering missing out the crawling stage and just walking. He is constantly trying to stand and he looks so little when he does it. I have the walker with blocks in it back from my sister now but he is not going anywhere near it yet!

oopsacoconut · 15/06/2009 20:41

Unfortunately Dizzy pushing chairs doesn't work on our carpet and she is so keen to walk.

oooh ooohhh ohhh I forgot to say DH bought me a new car today my old one is okay but not big enough for a 'family' car and his is too heavy on the petrol for regular long journeys to my folks. I am now the proud owner of a Moonstone blue metallic Peugeot 206 FIL will buy my car off us to tow behind the campervan.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 15/06/2009 20:42

oops how can you forget about a new car very nice btw.

oopsacoconut · 15/06/2009 20:43

Now you know why I can't have a pony!

oops just place her under the couch then so she can pull herself up and wander round - wheels might end in more tears

Dylan is loving pulling her self up on EVERYTHING and going up and down the stairs but her best thing is the static walker because she walks round the outside playing with the toys on it

cyteen · 15/06/2009 21:15

Sazzles your girls sound so cute together

Miamla count me in, you know I'm always on for a hen night

Thankfully I have still had no periods Will I be the last to get reacquainted with the joys of rag week?

dizzydixies · 15/06/2009 21:41

ROFL at my lovely horse! am sure Sibh and VG have enjoyed that wee trip down memory lane too

Cyteen I was saying that last week and voila here it is [arse]

LoveBuckets · 15/06/2009 21:50

Lovely day here, friend and son came for tea and sat the boys while I took DD swimming. DH got home early and we all went to the park and played frisbee til 7pm! On a school night! Actually DS1 just kept running off into the bushes with the frisbee everytime it came anywhere near him but it was v funny.

DH just played me a recording of a song he wrote played by his new band - I'm gobsmacked, it's great! It's got a real groove you can dance to and the lyrics are of that quality that clearly mean something to the writer rather than just rhyming and scanning. I am insanely jealous.

VG With you on the uni front, I was extremely spoilt that way and it never did me any good! Moving out is a valuable thing though IMO, builds up your social skills etc so we just hope to provide a year's worth of rent for each child, uni or not, and hope it leads to something sustainable enough for them to stay away!

Sazzles I know what you mean about restrained wheels, we once had a brick trolley that somehow magically didn't whizz off when a LO leaned on it, was great. Kurt has nothing like that, poor old third child.

Miamla · 15/06/2009 22:16

more tasteful than the average hen do? we'll have to see about that

i've caught up but too tired and emotional tonight to type much. Dress fitting went well, i still don't love it but recipient seems happy enough. maybe i'm hormonal? who knows. DS resisted sleep for a good hour tonight despite being really tired. i might just go to bed instead of being a misery on here

oopsacoconut · 15/06/2009 22:17

Night all hope you all get some sleep.

Who is on new thread title duty??

dizzydixies · 15/06/2009 22:23

buckets sounds like a great day all round - I love longer summer nights

running in

doc wrote me a script for progestrone cream. i have to take it compounder tomorrow then start it in the next couple of days (after I recount where my cycle is atm). he said it would take a little while for me to see a change....three months possibly. wish me luck. will report all my findings here.

he did chat with me about Reese's middle of the night feedings. he explained his wife didn't want to believe this fact either BUT as long as the child (at our babies' age) is healthy and growing "normally" then the middle of the night feed should be O V E R.....OVER..........over. he admitted it took two whole days for his child to change his ways and it wasn't without tears but it worked. i guess there's no harm in trying... will report back on this topic too.

on that tennis topic i'd be in heaven if a few years down the road we all had a huge meet up around the midisurfer vs dixiedoll open. that's something to have written up in a top mag or paper. (then we could all be like oops.)

shall replenish from most wonderful local supply tomorrow

delighted to hear E is none the worse, the wee darling. I never strapped D into her seat either until last week when I turned round and found her half standing half sitting on the tray

anyway on that note am off to bed, DH on nights, I've done as much work as I can focus on this evening and ignored as much housework as possible

lets hope tonight is the night ladies
