All ok here. Had a really busy day today. Was at school this morning until 12.00, did an hour of work for dh's company, had my haircut and then collected the girls.

Just done another hour of work (all going in to the party fund!) and am now scoffing Revels!!

Off to bed soon so see you lovelies tomorrow. xx

weeonion · 12/06/2009 22:54

good evening folks! hello to you all and i hope all the march/april/may 07 babies / toddlers are doing ok!

elkiedee · 13/06/2009 11:00

Hi Tili and WO

I've not posted on here for a few days, I just realised, I was intending to post last night but forgot I think.

WO, sorry to hear of your troubles

Oooggs, that's terrible for your friend.

Runny, I once worked with an English woman who was born and brought up in the part of London we worked in. She started learning Welsh because the bands she liked were Welsh/recording in Welsh and produced a bilingual fanzine for a while. She married again to someone she'd met at the Welsh Centre and moved to somewhere near Bangor with him. She gave us our cats. When last heard she had a much better job than before and was having another baby. We've lost touch since then though, and her new married name is one of the commonest in Wales.

StealthPolarBear · 13/06/2009 14:07

Hi everyone
oooggs, hope your friend's appointment today goes as well as can be expected
SOL, glad your mum's doing well, but sorry to hear she's feeling ill. When is the chemo due to finish?
Lovely to see weeonion!
Dippy - how are you doing?
Dooby - baby plans for a year or so then??
Have seen NL round in general, she just mustn't have time to catch up on here - maybe she doesn't realise how few posts there have actually been recently
well I hope to rectify that single handedly. Haven't been on this week as laptop's hard disk has been seriously playing up for ages, DH took it apart on Monday I think to order a new one and refused to put it back together until the new one came (can see why really!). All fixed now, speedy and shiney and hopefully able to keep up with me!
I've also continued feeling ill since Wednesday and was sick again last night. Feel fine today though so hoping that's the end of it. T is also ill (yawn...) - ears again, and has antibiotics, so am cramming them into him as

sorry about that

runnyhabbit · 13/06/2009 15:48

Afternoon all

Sun is shining here, so dh and my dad have made a start on the decking by trying to break up 6inches of solid concrete Rather them than me in this weather

Must dash - 2 little boys really want to help the grown ups. Not sure who needs rescuing the most

Sexonlegs · 13/06/2009 17:14

Hi folks

Lovely to see Tili, WO and Elkie

SPB, hope you and T are on the mend soon. How is your dh; he was poorly too wasn't he?

Runny, hope the decking is going well

All ok here, although feel pants; just feel slightly under the weather the whole time. Going to a 40th party tonight (another one!) but really fancy sleeping for a week!

Hope everyone is ok and enjoying the weather (assuming you have sun as we do!!!)

StealthPolarBear · 14/06/2009 07:20

Shattered here too!! > for my lovely April 07 ladies

elkiedee · 14/06/2009 19:20

Hope everyone is feeling physically better, and that they're having a better time than me today.

I think M and I are on the verge of splitting up. I'm fed up with being yelled at for anything and everything and nothing at all, and him constantly saying nasty things to me in front of the kids. Bad enough when D was a baby, really horrible now D understands (and blames me, it seems).

StealthPolarBear · 14/06/2009 19:43

oh elkie I don't know what to say
What do you mean D blames you? If you mean he thinks everything is your fault then that's awful I'm so sorry. Yes, if that's the case I'm afraid I agree you should split up (not that you asked for advice).
Are all your family up here? Do you have family or friends locally you can rely on?

OP posts:
Eddas · 14/06/2009 19:45

Hello ladies

I've been ridiculously busy lately so apologies for not posting

I've had a quick read through and it seems like most of you need a hug so {{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}} to you all, even you POTC

Eddas news, well we've just been to Disneyland in Paris, was great fun! DD didn't find out until we were just about to board the train and she didn't believe us at all! Bless her, then she cried, so cute!

DD has also just turned 5 so we had her party last saturday which was crazy, 20 5 year old girls plus 3 boys! I also spent the week before making bracelets and keyrings with the childrens names on for the party bags, like I have time for that but I think they went down quite well. Then sunday my sister and I ran the race for life, well half ran half walked my legs ached for the next 2 days! I really need to get fit

Oh and I sorted out childcare/work a little bit more. Dd now goes on the walking bus on the days I work which means I get to work at least 15mins earlier so I can leave 15mins earlier in the afternoon which is so much better and means I don't have to rush so much to get back for dd on time. The CM is fab and Harry just wanders in without even a goodbye alot of the time.

Now if someone could find that money tree everything would be great!

elkiedee · 14/06/2009 19:53

My mum is in Ilkley, yes. My dad is in London but is much better on practical than emotional help, though I'll probably need both. I have two aunts, a sister and lots of cousins here but my aunt A has a lot on her hands already and I don't feel able to cry on Aunt B's shoulder. My little sister is already quite distraught because her boyfriend decided to split with her a few weeks ago.

On a totally different and much happier note, my stepsister who has a ds 7 weeks older than D gave birth to a dd today.

oooggs · 14/06/2009 21:19

oh dear elkie hope this improve for you all soon

eddas - you whirlwind!!!

katy - how are you feeling?

dippy - things improving with you and dh?

elkiedee · 14/06/2009 22:02

Nice to hear from you Eddas. How exciting springing the Disneyland surprise on your DD, and glad to hear that you have childcare a bit more sorted.

Sexonlegs · 15/06/2009 07:51

Morning.

Eddas, lovely to see you. You have been busy

Elkie, really sorry things are rough with dp atm. Was he was like this with you before dc? Is there anything that triggers it?
Hope you can work something out. x

SPB, hope you are feeling better.

Hi Oooggs, hows you my lovely?

All ok here. Had a good time at the party we went to, and then spent the day out with friends yesterday.

K still asleep!!!! Gong to see my parents once dropped B at school.

Have a good day lovelies.

StealthPolarBear · 15/06/2009 09:11

Hi everyone
I am feeling better thanks but had a bit of a scare last night: here - don't read if eating or if you don't want TMI (so you should be fine SOL )
Not sure whether to feel relieved or stressed! Also going for a follow up appointment about DH's eye this afternoon - he thinks he is now short sighted (?? we think -he can see distance OK but not a computer monitor) in that eye Still, not too bad to get to 30 with perfect vision (well apart from 3 weeks in May!)

OP posts:
MJreturns · 15/06/2009 10:36

SPB, glad you are doing ok today, I did just post on your other thread too! I wondered whether you had a number that you could talk to a midwife directly for some advice?

Runny, hope the decking is coming along nicely and thanks for your advice re pain relief and coils! Not too late as it turns out, because the swab I had done a while ago was too long ago iykwim, and needed to be repeated before the coil can go in. I have to go back for the coil in a few weeks!
Hope work is ok, crap for your colleague too and must be hard to work with her atm.

CD, I really do feel for you with your man trouble. Things in my house seem to have settled down a bit, but it has been tough, and day to day life is hard. Look after yourself, and have a {{{{{{{{hug}}}}}}}}}

SOL, I know it was a few days ago, but your comment about the crotchless knickers really made me laugh
Hope your mum is doing ok today

Oooggs, your poor friend She is now the third person that I have heard of this happening to. A friend that I know from the school gates lost her baby at 19 weeks, and then one of my work colleagues lost hers at 22 weeks. It must be agonising and I cannot even begin to contemplate how you would manage to cope with something like that happening to you. Sending lots of love to her xx

WO, hello! Lovely to hear from you, hope all is well with you and C

Elkie, I really feel for you with relationship issues. It is so very hard, especially when you have lo's to consider too. Hope you are ok, and congratulations to your stepsister on her baby

Eddas, sounds like you have been really busy! Good to hear from you xx

Well I have worked both Saturday and Sunday for the agency, plus my usual Thursday and Friday in work, but I am off this week and I am going to see Take That in Cardiff on Wednesday!! I am very excited already

StealthPolarBear · 15/06/2009 10:47

Did you MJ , sorry I didn't notice that!
Yes, yesterday I spent ages looking at all the phone numbers on my notes thinking but who do I actually call - today I noticed a huge "On call midwife" sticker beside it!

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 15/06/2009 10:47

would have called that last night if I had noticed it

OohGaryBarlow · 15/06/2009 11:02

Lol SPB. Only just replied on your other thread, it wasn't there ages ago!

It's MJ btw, name changed for this week
