Morning ladies. Sorry I have been AWOL. You'd think with DH having been at home for a full month that I'd have had time for MN. Actually no, if any of you have ever had a DH at home for a full month you'd know exactly why I haven't had time. Get your mind out of the gutter Gin, it's not that.

Thought I'd start a new thread since MKG's lovely girl arrived such a long time ago!

April, am very sorry about your friend. How sad.

Have only had a skim through I'm afraid, but Scoot; you obviously have the patience of a saint dealing with all those tantrums, so I think you'd make a great driving instructor. Is it really what you want to do or are you trying to think of jobs to fit in with family life? Is it a reaction to the current job do you think?

Congratulations on the wedding plans SKY.

Belated birthday greetings to everyone I've missed and happy birthday in advance to all the rest. Seriously, if I go off to find the birthday thread it might be weeks before I get back!

LG&T, is there any way you can channel B's energy into activity? A gets quite naughty when she's bored or hasn't been "out". "Out" can just mean the garden and "out" means she doesn't sound so loud to me, thus killing two birds with one stone. I'm wondering if you being (understandably) afraid to leave the house with him is actually making things worse? Something like a trampoline in the garden could be great because all the bouncing up and down would use up tons of energy and wear him out, whilst also being "fun" for him and "quiet" for you.
Also, re B's nappy rash. Remember A had a hideous rash that needed anti-biotics etc? Well it went away and then was back a couple of weeks later. I thought it couldn't possibly be teeth again as she seems to have all her teeth. Took her off milk and hey presto, the rash was gone in 18 hours. Plus her soft, foul-smelling poos have turned into normal firm not-awful smelling poos. She's fine with butter or the occasional bit of cheese, but any more lactose sets her off. I wonder could B have a similar problem? A's excema also got worse on milk and is now clearing up. I think it's probably temporary, she had a similar problem last year, but for now she's on rice milk or the Lactofree products when I can get hold of them.

I was at the doctor on Weds to get my Mirena removed and replaced with a copper coil to see if my libido would come back. GP couldn't "find" the Mirena. I have to go for a scan to find it, then to a family planning clinic to have it removed if they do find it. She said it's probably just lost, rather than come out, but it's kind of put me off using coils altogether now.

DH still not redundant yet. It's been a month since he was put "at risk". He's seeing HR today and I suspect this will be the final meeting and they actually sack him. His manager admitted they were hiring new people for the desk, but not for "his role", which is just a load of crap. You can't make a position redundant on the basis you want to hire someone "more senior". That's just a staff upgrade. Hopefully they'll make a settlement offer today, otherwise he'll have to appeal and start sending solicitors letters. However, he's had loads of interviews, lots of callbacks and good feedback.

I might not leave if I came.I am going mad stuck in this house.MAD I TELL YOU!

Do you think it would be reasonable for me to go to Buenos Aires on my own to see The Killers on Dec 4th, as a birthday present to self?I have just received a pre sale offer from the fan club which I have joined. Its called 'The Victims'.I am so so so sad.

Pinkjenny · 23/07/2009 09:13

Er, yes. I think you should go. I am devastated that NKOTB have announced another cruise for next year, which is over Alexa's birthday AGAIN. I swear to God, they are doing it on purpose. ANd also Scoot, Joe's wife is pg, which upset me no end. I know you'll understand.

On more celebrity news: Did you know that Peter Andre left Katie Price for me? Oh yes, and I have left Mark for him, and me, Peter, Junior and Alexa are off to Centerparcs for a week. Yes people, the weird dreams have started.

At least it's not James Martin again. I always suspect he smells a bit greasy.

AprilMeadow · 23/07/2009 09:13

YAY Scoot you are back!!!!!!!!!!

Poor Lilly - if she is feeling better by Sunday then you are more than welcome. Swine Flu is all around the kids nursery and am pretty sure that E might have had it a week or so back when her temp was 38.8 for about 4 days straight.

Going to the wonder that is Costco today to stock up for Sunday.

OMG 2 sleeps until Pink arrives and 3 until the big day!!

Have done the webcam checks with MrsJB so we should be fine to link up on Sunday once everyone is here - will have to lay her (the laptop) a place outside so she can be fully included

AprilMeadow · 23/07/2009 09:16

LOL Pink - do you think you could take L with you for the cruise??? I bet it was Joeys wife that organised the dates knowing you wouldnt be able to make it!

Also, REALLY Peter Andre....... REALLY!!!!! Love the fact that you could holiday anywhere with him yet your dream only let you go as far CenterParcs LOL!!

Scoot, i would book it!! It would make up for all the time you have been house bound in the last 2/3 years

TheGreatScootini · 23/07/2009 09:22

I understand perfectly PJ with re the wife.I dunno.I quite fancy James Martin.Plus he's rich, (even before he was a cook I mean.I think he's from the gentry?)
DH would go mental if I went to Buenos Aires. He called me thrice in an hour yesterday to ask me variously, where is the calpol? (answer in the medicine box), where is the Nurofen? (next to the Calpol), what should he give Lily for lunch? (Christ you're a grown man, you can surely figure out how to feed a 3 year old?!)I beg of you!!

I am supposed to be in Blackpool on Saturday for someone's 30th but its all child dependent I guess. If I dont make that I could come to the meet up maybe just with Mae if she isnt ill?Or would anyone be too worried-I understand why so dont feel bad about saying so.L actually seems much better today. That Tamiflu is good stuff, once you can get it down her, it tastes vile. She is still a bit hot, but no where near what she was, and seems quite chipper otherwise.

Must go.Mae is yelling 'help'.Which means she has climbed to the top of the Tallboy and is stuck again.IBOY! (An acronym is needed as I am saying that alot these days!)

Pinkjenny · 23/07/2009 09:26

I know, Centerparcs really is the stuff of dreams, eh? I was so into Peter though, it was one of those dreams where you wake up and feel a bit odd.

Scoot - I think as long as you and Mae aren't displaying any symptoms, you should be OK. Any symptoms though, and I'd give it a miss, lots of pg women there on Sunday.

I would go to Buenos Aires. Dh has just booked his flights for the World Cup, AM's dh chases his tornados, do it for the sisters!!!!

TheGreatScootini · 23/07/2009 11:06

I will monitor the girls and self closely and make a decision nearer the time.

I mentioned BA to DH on the phone. He guffawed loudly.I suppose he probably is right.I struggled to get the train to Edinburgh on my way to T in the Park, never mind fly half way across the world solo.I really am rubbish at any kind of public transport.

I want to do somehting good and memorable for my 30th though.Any ideas?I dont know if I can be bothered with a party as DH will say he will do it but it will end up being down to me.I would like to go somewhere (as well as for a good night out but that part is easily arranged).

Blimey being quarantined is dull. There is only so much finger painting/bun making/puzzle doing one can do before you start to feel as if you are on remand.

On the bright side the house is clean for once. And I have finally engaged and electrician to come fix my hall light, after 5 months of not having one.

AprilMeadow · 23/07/2009 20:27

The nursery is FINISHED

Spending the morning ironing tomorrow so that you dont all think you have walked into a laundrette!

JamInMyWellies · 23/07/2009 20:36

For Gods Sake woman will you sir down I refuse to believe your house is that much of a tip or that you have that much ironing to do that cant be hidden under a bed. Really love slow down otherwise you are going to get ill.

SCOOOOOOOOOOOOOT lovely to see hear from you. When the LO's are better do you fancy meeting up somewhere for a play, run around....

Dont want to speak to soon but nearly every night this wk Lachlan has fed around 10ish and then slept through until 7!!!! Thank god. Of course this now means that DP is taking all the credit as he got up to him for the first 4 nights to help him lose the asociation of waking and food.

Soo excited about Sunday although am shitting myself a bit apprehensive as I know I will sit in a corner being too scared to speak except to hiss at Archie when he is running riot through AM's house and garden.

largeginandtonic · 23/07/2009 21:05

SCOOOOOOT about blardy time...

You have been missed my sweet. Glad you are ok, well apart from the swine flu. Bugger, poor Lils I hope she is better so you can come on Sunday.

Jam worry not about Sunday, B and A can sacifice the smaller ones by way of entetainment, we can sit in the corner pretending they are someone elses

This is a tactic i often use when out and about, deny all knowledge of said child throwing a fit/being naughty.

SOH when are you arriving? >

DjangoTheDjinn · 23/07/2009 21:43

Saturday lunchtime? Too early?

Ironing? Ironing? Nope, ringing no bells.

AM, sweetpea, with all due respect, none of us care what your house looks like. Sit. Now.

AprilMeadow · 23/07/2009 22:39

There are about 6 loads of washing that need ironing, mainly as we are running out of clothes (not good when you have a limited wardrobe!)

Rest of the house is ok and passes the Dh test

Had a lovely outing to Costco with Ella Moo this afternoon and had to drag self away from the cake section!!

LG&T & JAM you just wait to see how delightful J will be! I hope he is on his best behaviour and not on special form otherwise i will be a screaming banshee all day!

Meadow Towers is a judgement free building - it has to be otherwise we would be judging ourselves daily

largeginandtonic · 23/07/2009 22:49

Satuday lunchtime will be perfect

I do not really iron either. I shake vigorously after the tumble dryer

AM park it lady, please rest.

I am not going to the Wedding reception tomorrow night, just too tired. It would finish me off i think. Hanging round till people want to leave (tis a mini bus affair an hour away at least)

On a plus note i got a dress for my sisters wedding, tis fab. Would link but Boden keeps sending me back to the page i am on. It is very bizzare and seriously annoying! Anyone think why?

Themasterandmargaritas · 24/07/2009 08:01

SCOOOOOOOOOOOOT

Sorry about Lils. Poor wee thing.

Ironing? Haven't a clue what that is.

The 5.30am mornings are killing me.

April don't worry about J, he can run around with Barnaby playing pirates and practising rugby tackles. We can pretend they belong to LG&T, she won't notice a couple more .

SKYTVADDICT · 24/07/2009 10:46

I am soooooo looking forward to Sunday. Kids will probably be shy for about 5 mins, Callum may not speak at all but you never know.

Am trying to pack today and just can't get my head round packing for 5 (Dp does his own!). DP has day off but has taken Callum to get his hair cut.

I ironed until 10.45 last night. I don't know why - they will all get creased in the cases.

I also have to try and decide what we all should wear Sunday. Have to put on bestest clothes !!!

Scoot - good to hear from you but sorry L has the dreaded swine flue. It is all round here with people dropping like flies - we are all ok so far - fingers crossed.

largeginandtonic · 24/07/2009 11:00

Best clothes? Erm. I consider myself organised when i manage to get mine up and in to any sort of clothes.

TMAM 530am is a doddle. I was woken at 1 by B. He played till 3 when Blubell woke, she fed and went back to sleep and woke again at 5 when B woke up too. That was it then, day started. I didn't go to bed till 12 [muppet]

AprilMeadow · 24/07/2009 11:04

I will be picking my best tent out the wardrobe for Sunday - LOL

Please just come as you are, we have no dress code here at Meadow Towers

Very excited now - have spoken to Pink and she should hopefully be here mid afternoon tomorrow

E woke dh up at 5.30 and then woke her brother up at 6.30 as she wanted some milk and a biscuit and knew that if she woke him up thats what we would want as well!! She is a little mooooooo

SKYTVADDICT · 24/07/2009 11:07

I was just joking about the best clothes!

Well for me, DP, DD2 and the boys anyway. We are on holiday and it really doesn't matter. DD1 will probably be superbly turned out - it is just a stage though - apparently 13 year olds go nowhere without a face full of make up!

DP back from town so better go and look busy! Don't tell him I said that though!!!

SKYTVADDICT · 24/07/2009 11:12

Oh dear. Callum has come home without a hair cut! Screamed the place down apparently. DP not happy. Wasted 1.5 hours!!

Themasterandmargaritas · 24/07/2009 13:34

oh dear poor dp!

While I remember I have a Graco travel cot with bassinet, hardly used, plus a folding flat mothercare highchair and a cow print buggy snuggle up for grabs if anyone can use them? I can bring them on Sunday....

SKYTVADDICT · 24/07/2009 19:24

He sobbed apparently - not screamed. Its not too long yet but don't know what we will do next time!

Scoot - I have nearly read the Twilight series for the 2nd time (half way through 4th book) and DD1 is an Twilight expert and Edward lover!

No packing done yet, DD2 been in Wizard of Oz this pm so had to go and see that - think we will be packing until at least midnight!

If I don't get on here tomorrow see some of you on Sunday x

largeginandtonic · 24/07/2009 20:09

Poor dp Sky!! Bet he looks cute with long hair anyhoo

Right Boden link working now. I have got this dress

Now it was a sale purchase soooo i could get these shoes to go with it yes?

I mean £110 is not too much for shoes is it?

largeginandtonic · 24/07/2009 20:44

In the zebra (obv)

Pebblemum · 24/07/2009 23:14

hello all, have to try to catch up in a bit but thought id leave a message while my phone lets me lol

All is well in the pebble household. Dh goes for his snip next Friday Both Jordan and Ethan had great school reports. Alana had her first proper haircut and was an angel, didnt fidget at all. Deacon is a little devil now he can roll, he gets round the room within seconds, hes still huge, must be about 19lb now, not had him weighed for a month, oops.

Had a huge shock today, opened the local paper to find Jordans dad staring back at me. We've not seen or heard from him in over 10yrs and there he was :0 He's doing a sponsored bike ride for charity, what a saint. Hes asking for donations yet never gave anything to Jordan. In the pic hes standing with his wife (the one who made him choose between her or Jordan) and their 12wk old son. In the article it says hes recently become a father so what was Jordan, nothing! Im still in shock and annoyed. He must have known there was a chance Jordan would read it. He may have been young when his dad left but he remembers him and ive always answered any questions hes had. Of course he has read the paper but he doesnt seem to know what to think. One minute hes looking at it happily after all the people in the pic is his family too the next hes asking why his dad hasnt mentioned him or why his dad has got another baby when he didnt want him. Im drifting from shock to anger to curious wether having another son made him think of his firstborn. A few people have said that maybe he wants Jordan to see it so he gets in touch but i dont know. If J really wants to i wont stop him, hes bound to be curious but i dont want him to get hurt. I was hoping I wouldnt have to worry about it for at least another 4yrs.

DjangoTheDjinn · 25/07/2009 08:31

Pebble if he had wanted Jordan to get in touch he'd have picked up a phone or written a letter. He sounds insensitive and callous. I am sure Jordan will want to find out more about him at some point. Just be prepared for any disappointment that may arise from it.

£110 for shoes? Blardy hell. Who needs to pay rent, eh?

DD who never wakes up before 8am was up at 5 today. She's excited I tell you. Maybe she'll sleep in the car.

TMAM I'll need a buggy snuggle to wear on my head tomorrow. I've gone from excited to petrified.

Only a 4/5hr drive to go. LG&T dh has been up since 5 and has to drive a long way. I suspect a migraine may appear. He is desperate to watch the final mountain stage of the Tour this afternoon. Is that okay? Mont Ventoux I think. He thought at least one of the twins would watch it with him. His wife Doesn't Understand.

What does dd1 want for her birthday Tonic? Shall I bring anything for you? DH nipped into the kitchen last night and whipped up a chocolate cream strawberry cake. He wants something I tells ya.
