Morning ladies. Sorry I have been AWOL. You'd think with DH having been at home for a full month that I'd have had time for MN. Actually no, if any of you have ever had a DH at home for a full month you'd know exactly why I haven't had time. Get your mind out of the gutter Gin, it's not that.

Thought I'd start a new thread since MKG's lovely girl arrived such a long time ago!

April, am very sorry about your friend. How sad.

Have only had a skim through I'm afraid, but Scoot; you obviously have the patience of a saint dealing with all those tantrums, so I think you'd make a great driving instructor. Is it really what you want to do or are you trying to think of jobs to fit in with family life? Is it a reaction to the current job do you think?

Congratulations on the wedding plans SKY.

Belated birthday greetings to everyone I've missed and happy birthday in advance to all the rest. Seriously, if I go off to find the birthday thread it might be weeks before I get back!

LG&T, is there any way you can channel B's energy into activity? A gets quite naughty when she's bored or hasn't been "out". "Out" can just mean the garden and "out" means she doesn't sound so loud to me, thus killing two birds with one stone. I'm wondering if you being (understandably) afraid to leave the house with him is actually making things worse? Something like a trampoline in the garden could be great because all the bouncing up and down would use up tons of energy and wear him out, whilst also being "fun" for him and "quiet" for you.
Also, re B's nappy rash. Remember A had a hideous rash that needed anti-biotics etc? Well it went away and then was back a couple of weeks later. I thought it couldn't possibly be teeth again as she seems to have all her teeth. Took her off milk and hey presto, the rash was gone in 18 hours. Plus her soft, foul-smelling poos have turned into normal firm not-awful smelling poos. She's fine with butter or the occasional bit of cheese, but any more lactose sets her off. I wonder could B have a similar problem? A's excema also got worse on milk and is now clearing up. I think it's probably temporary, she had a similar problem last year, but for now she's on rice milk or the Lactofree products when I can get hold of them.

I was at the doctor on Weds to get my Mirena removed and replaced with a copper coil to see if my libido would come back. GP couldn't "find" the Mirena. I have to go for a scan to find it, then to a family planning clinic to have it removed if they do find it. She said it's probably just lost, rather than come out, but it's kind of put me off using coils altogether now.

DH still not redundant yet. It's been a month since he was put "at risk". He's seeing HR today and I suspect this will be the final meeting and they actually sack him. His manager admitted they were hiring new people for the desk, but not for "his role", which is just a load of crap. You can't make a position redundant on the basis you want to hire someone "more senior". That's just a staff upgrade. Hopefully they'll make a settlement offer today, otherwise he'll have to appeal and start sending solicitors letters. However, he's had loads of interviews, lots of callbacks and good feedback.

Just had to dash and clean some jam off the front room wall! Think C may have been painting with it!!

Sorry to see you are still feeling yukky PJ. I shouldn't think the hot weather is helping.

I can't believe that this time last year I was coming up to 8 months pregnant and it was horrid in the heat. The time really flies.

largeginandtonic · 27/06/2009 09:22

Aw AM the poor girl. Lots of bby mooning will be needed to establish BF. Hope they let her out soon so she can go and tuck herself up with him.

TYG the car does sound great, you need to drive it to me. I got your card this morning, Thank you. It was quite needed actually as i have been served court papers.

The twins Dad is obviously stepping up his campaign to terrify them and me. So off i go back in to the court system, family courts are such fun. I will have CAFCASS officers asking lots of questions and talking to my lovely boys

I think he was waiting for dh to be away so as to exert maximum terror and ionconvenience. He is a special man.

AM i have always wanted to go chasing Tonados!! It is passion of mine. I am very jealous of him. You will be fine, you are a strong lady

largeginandtonic · 27/06/2009 09:24

LOL at jam on the wal Sky! The fights start early. B would just beat ten bells out of anyone that tried to take something away fromhim, or bite them. He is such a charmer

twelveyeargap · 27/06/2009 19:07

FFS Gin. That man is a complete tosser. My heart goes out to you and the twins. Didn't the judge last time say that he didn't want to see fuckface tosser back in court?

AM, you are sweet. I'm amazed you've never been away from each other. You'll really be fine. It can be quite enjoyable spending time alone and having one less person to think about.

OP posts:
largeginandtonic · 27/06/2009 20:09

Ta TYG (almost typed your real name then!) He has indeed been made a section 91 14 before.

Different area, different judge. What he has said in the court application is all lies, is that liable? Or is that only if it get's in the public domain?

I have had a very bad day. B reduced me to tears this afternoon, he bit the little girl next door (again)I think the tears were all the rest of what is going on really. I am a bit rubbish actually and don't think i am coping too well

Poor children too

AbbyLou · 27/06/2009 21:11

LGT you are coping admirably. You are a great mum and a fantastic person - everyone here would say so. Your kids are so lucky to have you as their mum. Your ex is being a twat and you know it. He probably knows it too but is just being awkward. The court will come out in your favour it's just that it's such a horrible thing to have to go through. Dh's cousin is going through it at the moment to get permanent costody of his 4 kids.
AM hang on in there, he will be back soon. It's amazing how quick you will enjoy being on your own. Dh used to work away a lot and work very long hours and when he went back to regular hours i found it very hard to adjust the other way.

twelveyeargap · 28/06/2009 00:51

Prob only libellous in the public domain, but it's purjury to submit untrue statements to a court.

I know you don't want the hassle, but the legal end will be made easier on the basis of the school incident, the DTs needing counselling and them being older and able to speak for themselves better about what they want. I imagine you can request the notes from previous cases are reviewed for background info.

Ultimately, you are "mum of the year". If you need any character references, you know where to come.

Sorry B brought out the emotions. I will come and visit. Will look at calendar and FB some dates to you.

AM, I can't remember if I already said this. Would love to come to the meet, but it's the same weekend as our 5th anniversary and we might go away for a few days.

OP posts:
largeginandtonic · 28/06/2009 20:22

ROFL at Mum of the year... oh yes i WILL be quoting that in court! Did you know i'm on Youtube? hehe.

I am ok [lies] having glass off vino.

I cant believe you may not come to the meet, imagine having an anniversary!

AprilMeadow · 28/06/2009 20:29

OMG TYG how rude to put your anniversary before that of an all important MN meet up -

Will be a shame if you cant come, will just have to eat your slice of cake

LG&T sorry to hear that knob face is making it hard again for you and the twins. You know where we all are if you need anything xx

Managed to 'man up' since dropping dh off at the airport yesterday. Sobbed a lot on the way home but was able to put it to the back of my mind whilst out at friends hen do in London. The dc's have been great and havent really asked where daddy is. J went to a friends house for 6.5hrs today and 2 of those E was also there.

Managed to go and see friend in hospital today and meet her gorgeous ds. He is still scbu as his sugars are still a little wobbly. Friend looks well although a little pale due to massive blood loss. Having heard the birth story am so pleased she had an epidural!! 1.15hrs to stitch her up We were allowed to go to scbu with her and see/touch baby which was lovely. Did have a funny moment when walking past the CDS thinking that the next time i am in hospital i will be giving birth - eek!!

House looks like bomb has gone off but cant be arsed to do anything about it until the kids are safely in nursery tomorrow - dh would be very twitchy if he could see it

Themasterandmargaritas · 29/06/2009 07:54

TYG you have to come to the meet up, postpone your anniversary to the next weekend. I need to talk running with you and SOH . Besides I haven't seen the Boy yet.

Gin at exp, I can't believe how difficult he is making life for you and the boys, what is he hoping to gain from it? As MOTY we will generate the whole ire of MN against him. That'll soon stop him.

Awwwww April. I think it is sweet you are sad to be without dh. Personally I love it when dh is away. Just think about all the lovely mess you and the dc can make . I have to admit the whole tornado chasing thing is really cool, I am quite .

So I ran - what an experience. Four hour car drive to get to the conservancy, a night of camping with about 2,000 people camping all together, freezing cold night and then up before light. We all set off at 7.15 and the sun was blazing already. Then it was amazing, take the picture of an African setting in your mind, huge open plains, white grasses surrounded by mountains in the distance, blazing, blazing sun and a trail of people all running off into the distance like a huge long snake! We ran along a track which was made of fine mud like sand and there was only space for 3 at a time so it meant a lot of overtaking on the soft bits in the middle and very very dusty. Overhead there were 3 or 4 helicopters buzzing around making sure there were no ellies, rhinos or lions nearby. It was all going swimmingly for The Master until k 16, then my knee decided it had had enough of the terrain and gave up. So I ran/walked the last 5k. In total it took me 2hrs 32. I was so disappointed but it was an experience and now I shall have to go back next year to try and do better. It was so damn hot and probably the hardest thing I have done in my life, apparently it is one of the 10 most difficult marathons in the world.

I am now planning the next one....anyone want to join me?

charleymouse · 29/06/2009 15:51

Well done TMAM, knew you could do it

New car sounds lovely 12YG.

LG&T he is a twonk, big hugs.

Off again S&D hoorah!

AprilMeadow · 29/06/2009 16:23

Happy Birthday TYG - hope you are out enjoying the sunshine

Well done TMAM!! No way in a millions years could i do what you have done. I think i would collapse in a heap after a handful of km's! Damn these asthmatic lungs of mine

Charley, sorry to hear that the S&D has come back - truely crap!!!!

Pink also sorry to see that you have been vomming again although great news on scan and such a cute scan picture.

MrsJB sorry i missed your MSN, i leave the mac on all day and so it looks like i am here when i am not. Will have to have a gossip catch up soon xx

LG&T how is your day going?

Have spoken to dh and he hasnt been eaten by a tornado just yet which is good news. He is somewhere in South erm either Carolina or Dakota....... hmm the one nearest Mt. Rushmoor...... am crap at geography

Am melting in this heat but have my stash of ice lollies to help get me through

AprilMeadow · 29/06/2009 16:26

Ok so its South Dakota! He is in Nebraska at the moment having breakfast and then going to cross the stateline or something. For those of you interested.... this is the lot he has gone with and you can track where they are at anytime www.stormchasertv.com/

elkiedee · 29/06/2009 21:40

LOL at AM, only a few thousand miles between South Dakota and South Carolina. Hope your friend's ds is out of SCBU soon.

Happy birthday TYG.

MmeJaffaB · 30/06/2009 13:55

Hello all

Happy belated b'day TYG, hope you had a nice day. Your car sounds fab.

WELL DONE Tmam, you did great, sounds as though it was a wonderful experience.

C found any storms yet AM? Hope your friend and baby are doing better.

lg&t, he is such a feckwit, I am sorry he is putting you through it all. The twins will see what he is doing sadly, they nor you deserve it. x

Jorja has really enjoyed her first two trial mornings at school, she did some drawing and some sticking and was mobbed by all the older children wanting to hold her hand, kiss her and take her round the playground apparently. Of course H is the doting BB in charge and "looking" after her. She had no problems except for Maddie biting her arm during recré.... we all have a "special" one hey? They break up on Thursday

It has been very hot here, the pool is at 32°, the children are turning into fish!

Aerobics and dancing classes finish for the summer on Wednesday, I am sad, wtf will I do of an evening till September?

Hope you are all basking in the sun shine. Still grumpy about the July meet, can't you all come here instead?

AprilMeadow · 30/06/2009 14:00

No sign of one as yet MrsJB.
Great to hear that J is liking school already. E is doing visits to the big rooms upstairs which is exciting.
Have just filled up our paddling pool so the kids can have fun outside.
Melting here and temper is very short - J has taken to fibbing a lot and it is driving me mad!

largeginandtonic · 30/06/2009 22:58

TMAM you are FANTASTIC! Well done you. I am a bit in awe actually. I will give you a special extra big hug in July

Did oyu doanything nice TYG? Get the pointy shoes out? Hope you had a nice time and a VERY Happy Birthday.

AM i keep checking the storm boys I am super of C. I want full details and some pics if he manages to take any. I have always wanted a HUGE canvas on my front room wall of a tornado. I scan the tinterweb regularly but they have been a bit meh.

MrsJB holidays already! Noooooooooooo. We have another 3 weeks here >

I saw a lawyer this morning, all encouraging stuff. B was a nightmare though, he managed to poo, throw several wobblies, eat everything in my snack bag and pour water on the floor > I am trying to concentrate and feed Bluebell, what a blardy joke!

Scoot where are you? Anyone heard?

CM how is the bug? Hope to God it has left you. You poor thing, there will be nothing left of you at this rate.

Pink still vomming? It will all be gone soon and you will start to GLOW

AprilMeadow · 01/07/2009 08:33

If he actually sees a tornado and gets a good picture of it i will get one made into a canvas for you July. Glad that you had a positive meeting with the lawyers, really hope it all goes well. Got to love kids and their behaviour when in important meetings

Ella managed to fall out the playroom window yesterday - have no idea what she was doing climbing but i think she was being egged on by her brother. She was fine thankfully , am pretty sure she was a monkey in a previous life.

Forgot to put a nappy on Jack last night and was very pleased to find that he was dry for the 1st time ever!! Lucky for me otherwise i would be washing 2 lots of bedding as he was in with me for part of the night.

House looks like bomb has gone off so am on a mission to make it look beautiful for tonight as one of our touring car drivers is coming for dinner. Thank god dh isnt here as he would be shaking in a corner with the mess!!

largeginandtonic · 01/07/2009 09:34

Blardy hell AM was she ok? You must have had a heart attack! Not good for a heavily prg lady. Was J horrified? Mine would probably be laughing tbh, no love lost between them

AM Bluebell is not loving her swing... it looks very pretty though so i still have it up in the front room

Do you want first dibs before i list it?

I managed to sell the Jane powertwin last night on ebay, hooray! I am after a Frog, Gecko or Bee as a second buggy for when MIL has B or I.

What is everyone doing in the heat?

TMAM how are your weary muscles now?

JamInMyWellies · 01/07/2009 11:48

Pheeeewwwwww its HOT!

TMAM no idea how you cope in the heat all the time how do you run in it . Mucho congrats in your epic run. Well done.

LG&T sending you some love.

AM ruddy children glad she is ok. We caught A with a razor blade in his chops the other day lord knows how he managed to get it.

Big old hola to everyone.

Busy wk here we saw an Elvis impersonator at the village curry house last night it was brilliant. . TT tonight and Blur on Friday oh and we saw Derren Brown last Saturday. Clearly we have abandoded (why can't I spell that) the children .

Themasterandmargaritas · 01/07/2009 11:50

Wow, poor Ella. I take it it wasn't a first floor window

What happens if dh doesn't find a storm? I'd be very disappointed! Perhaps he will have to stay on an extra week! Are you coping on your own?

Charley are you feeling a bit better today? Between you and Pink neither of you are having any luck, they both must be girls, only girls cause their mothers that much trouble .

Gin, you are sounding much more positive, that is great.

Well done Jorja at school! Lol at Maddie biting her in the playground! Sisterly love.

School is out for us tomorrow - yipppeeeeeee. No more school runs for 2 months. And back to blighty next week, even bigger yipppeeeee!

The IL's are all busy busy busy as they are moving out here in August. so this will be the last time to be in their house, which is quite sad. However, we have just had an offer accepted on a house here so fingers crossed it all works out.

The muscles and knee are just fine thanks Gin. Back to the running on Saturday, the next half marathon is just around the corner in October

Themasterandmargaritas · 01/07/2009 11:57

We abandon them at every chance Jam. I am of Blur

Actually it's pretty damn chilly here just now. It's only about 20 degrees. I've got long sleeves on.

Your weather is going to play havoc with my packing. Will it last, won't it? What do you reckon?

AprilMeadow · 01/07/2009 12:07

JAM have a fab time tonight with the 'boys', i am so looking forward to Friday when i go see them.

Did i tell you that Ella 'shaved' her lip with my razor a few weeks back - honestly, she was trying to copy dh and ended up with a nice cut along her lip, luckily it wasnt too bad.

Dh followed a massive storm cloud for 4 hrs yesterday that had a tornado warning but nothing happened. He hopes to see something!! The last group that went out saw one on the last day. To be fair it is coming to the end of the season in the location they are in.

TMAM, wow the IL's moving out to you - how will that be for you?

Playroom is on the ground floor, think she only got 1 scratch.

Have been sorting out cupboard under the stairs and filled 2 bags with shoes for the shoe bin!! Found lots of pairs i have been looking for for months. Am now doing a basket of ironing before having lunch, shower and then heading into work.

Re Pink's vomming..... at her scan they said she had something (cant remember what) on one of her ovaries that causes the sickness and that it normally shrinks and disappears by week 12. Obviously with it still being there it means that the sickness is still going strong for the poor girl.

Charley how are you today?

AprilMeadow · 01/07/2009 20:19

evening

have uploaded a picture of my bump to my profile. 29wks and 2 days. Looks like i have a ball up my top

largeginandtonic · 01/07/2009 21:25

You look blardy amazing chick
