Morning ladies. Sorry I have been AWOL. You'd think with DH having been at home for a full month that I'd have had time for MN. Actually no, if any of you have ever had a DH at home for a full month you'd know exactly why I haven't had time. Get your mind out of the gutter Gin, it's not that.

Thought I'd start a new thread since MKG's lovely girl arrived such a long time ago!

April, am very sorry about your friend. How sad.

Have only had a skim through I'm afraid, but Scoot; you obviously have the patience of a saint dealing with all those tantrums, so I think you'd make a great driving instructor. Is it really what you want to do or are you trying to think of jobs to fit in with family life? Is it a reaction to the current job do you think?

Congratulations on the wedding plans SKY.

Belated birthday greetings to everyone I've missed and happy birthday in advance to all the rest. Seriously, if I go off to find the birthday thread it might be weeks before I get back!

LG&T, is there any way you can channel B's energy into activity? A gets quite naughty when she's bored or hasn't been "out". "Out" can just mean the garden and "out" means she doesn't sound so loud to me, thus killing two birds with one stone. I'm wondering if you being (understandably) afraid to leave the house with him is actually making things worse? Something like a trampoline in the garden could be great because all the bouncing up and down would use up tons of energy and wear him out, whilst also being "fun" for him and "quiet" for you.
Also, re B's nappy rash. Remember A had a hideous rash that needed anti-biotics etc? Well it went away and then was back a couple of weeks later. I thought it couldn't possibly be teeth again as she seems to have all her teeth. Took her off milk and hey presto, the rash was gone in 18 hours. Plus her soft, foul-smelling poos have turned into normal firm not-awful smelling poos. She's fine with butter or the occasional bit of cheese, but any more lactose sets her off. I wonder could B have a similar problem? A's excema also got worse on milk and is now clearing up. I think it's probably temporary, she had a similar problem last year, but for now she's on rice milk or the Lactofree products when I can get hold of them.

I was at the doctor on Weds to get my Mirena removed and replaced with a copper coil to see if my libido would come back. GP couldn't "find" the Mirena. I have to go for a scan to find it, then to a family planning clinic to have it removed if they do find it. She said it's probably just lost, rather than come out, but it's kind of put me off using coils altogether now.

DH still not redundant yet. It's been a month since he was put "at risk". He's seeing HR today and I suspect this will be the final meeting and they actually sack him. His manager admitted they were hiring new people for the desk, but not for "his role", which is just a load of crap. You can't make a position redundant on the basis you want to hire someone "more senior". That's just a staff upgrade. Hopefully they'll make a settlement offer today, otherwise he'll have to appeal and start sending solicitors letters. However, he's had loads of interviews, lots of callbacks and good feedback.

bloody nora theres me wittering on like an eejit about how tired I am sorry LG&T really hope you can get a break or some sleep or maybe you could do a jaffa and duct tape them all to various appliances and go sit down and have a G&T cup of tea.

JamInMyWellies · 19/06/2009 10:20

why did my blank out not work g&t

MmeJaffaB · 19/06/2009 10:52

Won't work with an & Jam.....

You are allowed to be tired too Jam, don't feel embarrased about saying so on here.
We all have ishooooos some are sadly bigger than others but it doesn't mean that they are not all worthy of a whine and moan when we feel it needed. Isn't that why we all love it here so much? Somewhere to sound off!

TYG how's the toilet training going?

J has been amazing, she has been dry and clean for over a week now, inc naps and night. I was going to keep her in Nappies at night as security but I've changed my mind, no point as she seems to have craked it. She still proclaims "clever girl" each time she performs. I've actually decided I love toilet training too, anyone want me to come and do their precious pods for them? I'm quite cheap, a budget flight and a trip to primark will do me. Oh maybe a little cadburys....

Themasterandmargaritas · 19/06/2009 11:36

Good job Jorja! Sadly we are not having a great deal of luck with J.

MmeJaffaB · 19/06/2009 12:44

Ain't no mountain high enough,
Ain't no river deep enough....

charleymouse · 19/06/2009 13:16

Well scan combined with bloods gives me a 1/4,500 of something beiong wrong so not woirried now, just settling down to enjoy the rest of this pregnancy. Have at last stopped with the S&D I have even put some weight back on. Had a week at CP in Sherwood and had a lovely time although slightly limited as G had conjunctivitus.

TMAM hope the Africa Office is back up and running. How did you manage the bastard panda? Will sponsor you later I promise.
Jam I love Edward as well it is Gs middle name. Also getting drawn into BB. PP is a big hit in our house as well, although DD has to watch ICE Age the movie practically everyday as well.

MJB well done on the potty training. Glad to hear A is doing well nad fighting the cancer.

Lups, I think G has worked out exactly what his bits are for. and he thinks they are not just for weeing. Did you find your bracelet?

Pebble have voted for the kids in the picture comp, when do you get to hear. G;lad things are improving with DH. We have a date this afternoon, we are only going shopping but it is our time with no DCs about. (Apart from the one I am carrying but he/she not counting yet.)

April glad J has got his school sorted. I have just ordered As uniform and we have a home visit by her teachers on the 14 July to look forward to. I can't believe it is so soon when you said how many weeks it is before school. A has tweeks and 2 days of half days so logistically will be a nightmare and for her will seem like really short days. Good l;uck for Snetterton. Thanks for the warning re the BH. (I think)

Scoot sorry I missed Maes birthday, hope you had a lovely day.

Sky hope DD2 had a great birthday. C will love preschool, well done on the weight loss.

Tils she will love it, and you will enjoy the peace and quiet (at least after you have stopped panicking nad looking round the house wondering what mischief she is getting into. you will not be able to make the meetup. You will be a great Mummy, you ARE a great mummy. Tis just a phase. Well done on getting in the round up.

LG&T hope the DCs are feeling better. Pics look great, glad you had a nice day. Sorry N is away. Your PP cake is magnificent, any chance of a slice?

Cinnamon hope T enjoyed her birthday. Congrats on your pregnancy, think there must be something in the water round here. I have one due December.

PJ we will are serene and wonderful.

SOH got any spare buns or did the elephant eat them all. Is this the stopping away hen night or a different one? Teehee at DH and his crush on LG&T, what is worrying in our house is DH thinks it is I who have a crush on LG&T. Obviously I do LG&T but he is not to know that. I have a crush on all you ladies.

AL well done on the walk and the fundraising. Probably too late but a nice radox bath is great for resting the muscles.

12YG good luck on the everyday. Glad DH got his employers sorted out. Good luck with the counselling.

Ooh just realised what time it is have half a day booked for a date with my DH so will be off and catch up later, I am halfway up page 2 (Monday 15 evening) will check in later apologies if I have missed something important but have a hot date to get to.

MmeJaffaB · 19/06/2009 13:50

Thats great news on the scan results Charlie.... try to relax and enjoy now.

SKYTVADDICT · 20/06/2009 07:47

Hi CM - your posts like that always make me laugh. Dont' know how you do it.

C LOVED preschool. Waved me off and didn't want to come away when I went to fetch him. Shouldn't have too many problems come September.

Weight loss slowed down - stayed the same again this week. Seem to have lost motivation.

Really tired this am as went out last night and got into bed 1 ish, Lewis woke at 5 for a bottle, went back to sleep then woke for the day at 6.

Hope things are improving LG&T and that you get some sleep soon.

SKYTVADDICT · 20/06/2009 08:00

I've just been a voted Pebble.

I have another job interview. Not until 7 July. It is a Personal Secretary NHS again but Mental Health and Social Care side, based in home town. Was advertised as full time but I applied on job share basis so they must be interested to interview me.

Still considering childminding. I looked after my great nephew for the day yesterday. He is 14 months. We had an interesting day but my mum was here for most of it. My Neice was a bit concerned I wouldn't cope I think and had asked my mum to come. Tbh it was quite hectic when she had gone late pm, especially when visiting baby decided quite vocally that he wanted tea at 4.30 and I wasn't really planning on giving him any and hadn't cooked anything. He had a quick spagetti hoops and toast but my two were hungry then too and couldn't understand where there tea was! C was good and waited but L got very vocal, luckily by when time me sister and neice had arrived so peace was restored.

largeginandtonic · 20/06/2009 13:05

CM that fab news, relax and enjoy it now. A super snuggly baby will bew here soon

Sky that sounds tricky, 3 under 2. You would need a triple buggy!

I got sick last night I felt odd but at 10 it was quite clear what it was. Hugo woke at 3 having thrown up all over his bed. I have no idea if it was the bug back to get him again or the party he went to in the evening. Anyway it was just special to be sick and clean up sick at the same time.

I am a bit beyond it all now. My lovely neighbour came in and made the kids lunch. There can't be much more can there?

SKYTVADDICT · 21/06/2009 09:48

Oh blesss LG&T, sounds like a really crap time you are having. Hope your sickness goes soon x

Themasterandmargaritas · 21/06/2009 12:52

oh lovey, poor you I hope you are feeling a bit better today? Can MIL come down and give you a hand? xx

largeginandtonic · 21/06/2009 21:32

Twin sick now too

I phoned mil yesterday but they had already gone out for the day

I am sooo tired.

AprilMeadow · 22/06/2009 08:16

Good lord LG&T - how are you feeling? How many of you are unwell? Can your MIL come and stay for a few days?

Had a busyish weekend where i spent most of the time blitzing the house - all at my own pace of course. Just our room to go and that is by far the worst as i have been dumping clothes and crap in there whilst sorting the other rooms.

Baby's changer dresser comes tomorrow - bargain from Boots. Its an M&P one that rrp's for £250 and Boots had it for £176 plus you got £14 worth of advantage points. Think all i need now is a baby and then we are ready....... Once we have had the meet up next month i can transform the front room into the nursery and i cant wait 28 weeks today!! I cant believe that i am in the final trimester already.

Better go and attack our room before heading into work xx

MmeJaffaB · 22/06/2009 09:32

Puts on facemask washing machine, makes tea, gets lunch and prepares evening meal, hangs out washing and puts next load in. Washes up, hoovers and cleans bathrooms............

All in spirit for lg&t. Anything else I can do? Wish I could really do it. xx

largeginandtonic · 22/06/2009 18:56

Aw thanks ladies Twin stopped being sick at 130. He is fine today though.

Twin 2 still looks fine >

I feel ok today, not too tired. I think me getting the blasted thing finished me off tbh. Enough is enough.

AM hope you are pacing yourself, the dts arrived at 29 weeks.

Dunno why i am telling you to sit down, you are only happy when busy. Bit like me.

MrsJB i have a friend doing a France run in 2 weeks so i am putting in an order. What shall i ask for? Gallons of Gin obv

I heard from SOH on Friday night, she is tickety boo and distracted me from the vomit quite well...

AprilMeadow · 23/06/2009 09:01

How was last night LG&T? Did you manage a vom free night and actually get some sleep?

Although i am keeping busy i am being careful to know where my limits are. I'm in the office a lot at the moment but thats just sitting and fairly easy stuff. House is nearly done and not touching the baby stuff for about 6wks (if i can hold out that long )

TMAM i found the wellies, crocs and doodles of Jack's that i had put away - do you want them? I can put them in a bag ready for your visit if you do, otherwise i will put them in the shoe bin...

largeginandtonic · 23/06/2009 21:43

No vom or poo...

AM glad to hear you are taking it easy Not long till we all meet again!!! Wahooo.

Have just ordered ds4 his birthday present, a BMX scooter thing. Have also booked his Bowling party. Blardy hell the cost!

It is my sister's birthday (yes that one) this month and my Dad's too!! Expensive month.

I want a Bee too, the Bugaboo kind not the buzzing. Anyone know someone off loading one?

AprilMeadow · 23/06/2009 22:10

woo hoo!!! I hope thats the end of it on your house.

Just been to parents evening for all the year R children - very scary! Spent £70 on school uniform plus all the naming labels etc. I think we pretty much got one of everything apart from dresses and hairbands

largeginandtonic · 23/06/2009 22:20

Buy it in the Supermarkets AM the little buggers only lose it!! Labels or no labels i am afraid.

I am eating Jelly Belly beans and just had an Island Punch YUK!

AprilMeadow · 23/06/2009 22:59

I got the trousers and some polo shirts from Mothercare as they were buy 1 get 1 half price. We bought, school jumpers, polos, book bag, pe bag, school sun hat, school pe kit and something else, oh yes a school fleece. 2 bags worth - dh went a bit over board.

He is in a class with someone he goes to nursery with and a friend outside of nursery plus i have found 2 other people that we know - so will be planning play dates between now and Sept so he gets to know them.

Feeling hungry but not sure whether to have something or go to sleep......

largeginandtonic · 23/06/2009 23:01

Eat! (obv) You are pregnant, you need to.

AprilMeadow · 23/06/2009 23:05

yes but what to eat is the question....... dont fancy crisps and all the 'healthy' stuff has been consumed by the dc's. Honestly we are going through bananas, apples and satsumas like they are going out of fashion!

AprilMeadow · 23/06/2009 23:07

right, off to find something to munch on in bed.

Night xx

charleymouse · 24/06/2009 07:19

You know where that leads AM don't you?
