Morning ladies. Sorry I have been AWOL. You'd think with DH having been at home for a full month that I'd have had time for MN. Actually no, if any of you have ever had a DH at home for a full month you'd know exactly why I haven't had time. Get your mind out of the gutter Gin, it's not that.

Thought I'd start a new thread since MKG's lovely girl arrived such a long time ago!

April, am very sorry about your friend. How sad.

Have only had a skim through I'm afraid, but Scoot; you obviously have the patience of a saint dealing with all those tantrums, so I think you'd make a great driving instructor. Is it really what you want to do or are you trying to think of jobs to fit in with family life? Is it a reaction to the current job do you think?

Congratulations on the wedding plans SKY.

Belated birthday greetings to everyone I've missed and happy birthday in advance to all the rest. Seriously, if I go off to find the birthday thread it might be weeks before I get back!

LG&T, is there any way you can channel B's energy into activity? A gets quite naughty when she's bored or hasn't been "out". "Out" can just mean the garden and "out" means she doesn't sound so loud to me, thus killing two birds with one stone. I'm wondering if you being (understandably) afraid to leave the house with him is actually making things worse? Something like a trampoline in the garden could be great because all the bouncing up and down would use up tons of energy and wear him out, whilst also being "fun" for him and "quiet" for you.
Also, re B's nappy rash. Remember A had a hideous rash that needed anti-biotics etc? Well it went away and then was back a couple of weeks later. I thought it couldn't possibly be teeth again as she seems to have all her teeth. Took her off milk and hey presto, the rash was gone in 18 hours. Plus her soft, foul-smelling poos have turned into normal firm not-awful smelling poos. She's fine with butter or the occasional bit of cheese, but any more lactose sets her off. I wonder could B have a similar problem? A's excema also got worse on milk and is now clearing up. I think it's probably temporary, she had a similar problem last year, but for now she's on rice milk or the Lactofree products when I can get hold of them.

I was at the doctor on Weds to get my Mirena removed and replaced with a copper coil to see if my libido would come back. GP couldn't "find" the Mirena. I have to go for a scan to find it, then to a family planning clinic to have it removed if they do find it. She said it's probably just lost, rather than come out, but it's kind of put me off using coils altogether now.

DH still not redundant yet. It's been a month since he was put "at risk". He's seeing HR today and I suspect this will be the final meeting and they actually sack him. His manager admitted they were hiring new people for the desk, but not for "his role", which is just a load of crap. You can't make a position redundant on the basis you want to hire someone "more senior". That's just a staff upgrade. Hopefully they'll make a settlement offer today, otherwise he'll have to appeal and start sending solicitors letters. However, he's had loads of interviews, lots of callbacks and good feedback.

Dehydration does indeed make BH worse, drink plenty. Keep a bottle near you at all times

MmeJaffaB · 16/06/2009 19:19

Have you yet?

AprilMeadow · 16/06/2009 20:25

OK will try and avoid all girly clothes. Its fairly easy at the mo as its all summer stuff and she doesn't need anything like that. Will try and drink more, am not the best person in the world at drinking enough - may explain why they are more painful.

largeginandtonic · 16/06/2009 20:53

Themasterandmargaritas · 17/06/2009 05:19

Perhaps she is doing an early morning jigjig? She's got to fit it in when she can

Pinkjenny · 17/06/2009 09:21

Seriously, I cannot think of anything more hideous. Every day? Gordon Bennett.

Pebblemum · 17/06/2009 10:37

I think knowing i was to have sex every day would make it feel like a chore lol.

Just had the chunk weighed, hes a whopping 16lb 14.5oz, not suprising the amount he eats He is starting to cut his 1st tooth so is chomping on anything he can get in his mouth at the moment whether its teethers or fingers. A has yet to learn her lesson and still puts her fingers too close

twelveyeargap · 17/06/2009 19:00

Let's just say that I was not the one who fell asleep first last night. Epic fail on day one.

Date night tonight though. Have just ironed a frock to wear with my zebra shoes.

OP posts:
AprilMeadow · 17/06/2009 20:58

oh dear that is not good. Hope tonight turns out better for you

been on a grievance & discipline training course today and now brain feels like mush!

I swear this child is going to be born with 6 knees either that or she is in training for syncronised swimming!

largeginandtonic · 17/06/2009 22:10

You need to eat more cake to pad yourself out against the knobbly knees AM

TYG lol, come on girl. Get those heels on and get in the mood.

I am beyond wrecked. I have a friend up the road being a twit, not sure why. Have asked and got no reply.

That and a woman came to get the rabbit today (Mrs Carrots needs a gate that stays closed) and just as she was chatting to me about her 50 rabbits a twin walked in the room back from counselling. He was in bits as i have showed him a postcard from his Dad that arrived today while he was at his counsellors. He cried and ripped it up He walked in to the house to see his beloved rabbit being taken away.

The pasta was just about to boil over for tea, the counsellor wanted a quick word (she drops him home) twin in bits and rabbit woman trying to show me tiny pic on phone of another rabbit and GUESS WHAT... Beau projectiled all over me, head to toe.

He clearly has the bug now. I was down on my knees cradling B and the rabbit woman leant over me to show me the pic

B has only just stopped being sick, well has for 20 minutes now anyway. He started at 530. Poor lad

Sometimes i wonder i really do if i am in fact trapped in some weird hellish dream...

AprilMeadow · 18/06/2009 08:14

What a nightmare LG&T. I cant believe how much stuff gets thrown at you and yet here you are still standing! I would be hiding under a table somewhere sobbing by now.

I would have told the rabbit lady where to go if she had been shoving the pics in my face whilst trying to deal with vom and a B.

I hope that B had an okish night and that the sickness passes soon.

I think padding would make me look bigger than i am already so i think i might pass on that. Have put on 14lbs in 27wks so am quite pleased with that. Will obviously be heavier than i was with Ella as i missed the final weeks of piling on the lbs I think i will put about 2st on in total (thats realistic i think - 1lb a week for the next 12wks.....)

twelveyeargap · 18/06/2009 08:25

Shagwatch: 12am apparently too late for Agent TYG to stay awake. Quickie this morning instead.

Coilwatch: Coil located yesterday, but in wrong place, thus not protecting. Now waiting for GP to call about second removal attempt.

Vomwatch: Awaiting update from Agent LG&T.

OP posts:
Themasterandmargaritas · 18/06/2009 10:30

at the shagwatch update. Does dh know that a bunch of mad strangers are following his every move?

at the picture in my mind of LG&T's household. I do so love the timing by kids. Presumably Rabbit Lady is childfree? I hope the vom has not reached the others and that B is feeling a bit better.

TYG, I've got 10 days to go to D Day! I strained my thigh but rested it for 5 days and it has helped. I've done 11.5k on Tues and 13k today and it has held. I'll just do one 5k more then that's it!!!

JamInMyWellies · 18/06/2009 13:43

TYG

Quick weaning question, L turned 26wks yesterday am going to do the same as with A and do mostly BLW with a wee bit of purees. Anyway yesterday he fed himself some banana and sweet potato, but this morning he had a vv weird poo looked like it had loads of tiny pieces of black thread in it oh and was dark greenish in colour. Now am I right in remembering banana does something to their poo or am I talking a load of codswallop???

LG&T hope B is feeling better poor lad, and the rest of the household has settled down today.

TMAM when and where are you running is it a marathon?

AM I have seen the photos and large is not what I would call you. You are looking fantastic!

OH and I NEED sleep really wish L would start being a bit more settled at night am exhausted its making me think about ditching BF and going onto FF in the hope he sleeps better.

Themasterandmargaritas · 18/06/2009 15:42

Jam, yes bananas make their poos have slimey black bits and black like seeds. I reckon between that and sweet potato, green poo is pretty normal

Sorry about the sleep, surely it's not too much longer til he sleeps for longer......? By the way, I love the new 'do.

Yes I am doing a half marathon, to raise money for an orphanage in Western Kenya. Fool that I am. It's a week on Saturday, upcountry in a Game Conservancy at an altitude of 6,000ft. I think I am more worried about the elephants than the running

And you are so right, April always looks glam.

JamInMyWellies · 18/06/2009 16:42

Thanks TMAM, honestly its not like it was that long ago I did it with A brain is mush.

Good luck with your run. VV impressive.

elkiedee · 18/06/2009 17:58

Jam, it's amazing how quickly you forget things, isn't it?

largeginandtonic · 18/06/2009 22:55

Yes v impressive running from TYG and TMAM atm. I could run pretty fast if someone showed me a bed.

B finally stopped being sick at 230. It was ok though as H started at 12 so i had something to do in between... It was probably one of my worst nights to date.

H threw up for the last time at 8am. I put him and B in the P&T and Bluebell in the sling for the school run. He was ok luckily and no more sick or poo all day.

Had a call at 10 to collect a twin who felt ropey (took a bowl and towel) [fast learner] picked up the other twin too just incase. They have both been fine though.

Friend up road (being a twit) turned up on my doorstep today. I sent her a text meant for my neighbour... Muppet. Had a small altercation. She is all "me, me, me". I am all "I'm farcking knackered and didn't even get to bed last night".

TYG PMSL at Agent TYG on shagwatch. Quickies are often fab Have been thinking about your coil. Glad it has been 'found' at least. Have you been careful?

Jam oh yes dodgy black bits in nana poo. You do forget. Bluebell keeps staring at me eat,she get's mucho upset when the fork does not go in her mouth I am far too lazy to wean yet, she will be 5 months soon!!!

AM i WISH put only 2 stone on! I think i put 4 on this time [grumble]

MmeJaffaB · 19/06/2009 08:23

for you lg&t.

AprilMeadow · 19/06/2009 08:26

i really dont know how you do it. I hope you managed to get some sleep last night x
