TheNatty · 09/05/2009 14:56

afternoon all. miss me?

i never seem to get the time to post on here anymore, and when i do i get ignored

baby had me up till 4am with heartburn, braxton hicks and rib kicks. joy.
practise for the real thing tho eh

anyone know the secret to keeping two toddlers happy when you have had 4 hours sleep and no patience?
stuggled out to library and park and tesco express with them, and luckly i made double portions of mince last night so will whip up a shepards pie for dinner.

hope your pram is nice daisy, will bare tesco in mind in the future mothercares delivery is rubbish.

of time away (work or otherwise ) spa breaks and shopping sound wonderful right now

HellHathNoFury · 09/05/2009 20:03

Hi Natty

Sorry to hear you feel ignored...

I have no idea how to keep 2 toddlers entertained, I have enough trouble with one.
Fortunately he has now discovered cbeebies - specifically 'Chuggington', so I now have a babysitter.

LackaDAISYcal · 09/05/2009 20:13

natty....not ignored

Although it seems as though I live here most of the time, I don't really

And if you find the answer to that question, please let me know!!

We've been out all day shopping for bikes, and dealing with whinging children; they are all spotty with high temperatures now and bumble was puking merrily earlier. Looks like my good night's sleep was short lived!

Natty - I think the thing is, no-one is 'ignored', but it can feel that way...but it can be tough to acknowledge/sympathise/comment on everything everyone says.

I have felt ignored in the past too but then I sort of realised that I don't necessarily acknowledge what everyone says myself - even though I do read everything that's posted.

I think I have had to just assume that it's read and people only comment if they have something to say.

Does that make any sense? I have a feeling I worded that really badly!

Sputnik · 09/05/2009 21:24

I ignore everyone equally.

What was that?

LackaDAISYcal · 09/05/2009 21:27

so, fury, natty....how are you both?

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 09/05/2009 21:29

oh, and what fury said

hellooo sputnik

Old friend of DH's is here tonight and I have convinced him to take DH out to the pub. Who knows what state they will be in, although DH said they would be "back in an hour or so". I do hope not; it'll do him good to get out more!

justbeme · 09/05/2009 21:46

Im fine - just dont spend as much time on the computer now - definately not daytime and then in the evenings , just a little.
Cant believe I just saw a ante natal thread about "Due in June 09" - it made me think "hang on a minute where have those 2 yrs gone!!"

Sputnik · 09/05/2009 22:00

Glad it's not just us then

LittleMissNorty · 09/05/2009 22:04

Hello JBM - good to see you.

Hows L?

Hi everyone else

justbeme · 09/05/2009 22:06

Hi Norty - Hows your hectic life with 2??
L is lovely - chatting quite abit and very bossy to my poor old dog - he's great with her though.

LittleMissNorty · 09/05/2009 22:07

btw, it is tough to answer every post - I know I can't keep up. Like Fury, I read everything and comment as and when I can. My Feb thread had pages of personals to everyone, and if I tried to do that, I'd upset someone, cos I forget 5 minutes later, and someone would get left out. I like the informal nature of this thread. Suspect there are lurkers who never post as well.

LittleMissNorty · 09/05/2009 22:09

Yeah, pretty hectic! Glad the dog is good with L....my DD loves our lab a bit too much and he licks her face in order to tell her to bugger off, but she thinks its funny!

btw, I loved her house pics in the garden! They are certainly growing up quickly!

Sputnik · 09/05/2009 22:12

Well they've passed quickly and slowly at the same time for me, does that make any sense? I feel like I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel atm though tbh. I love babies but they're not compatible with normal life as I see it.

justbeme · 09/05/2009 22:15

Thanks - Whats is everyone planning on getting their Lo's for their 2nd (gasp!) birthdays?

I'm really enjoying L, its the thought of Birthday parties that makes me shudder!! They're sooo competitive!
