Hi All,

Just a quickie - JODIE - the luna will fit in the fiesta as it was 1 of the ones that would fit in the boot of my mini. I didn't like it - thought it was a bit plasticky . Quinny Zapp is much nicer IMO.

Had the language development rearcher here today - we are in the play group group. It is for the next 20 months but should be fascinating to read the results. Poor C cried at first - he is such a big wuss honestly. SK - if your B is bossy and feisty they'll get on fine - he is undoubtedly going to end up with a 'strong' woman to push him around direct him .

Must go as I am the same on the housework front - dyes have just arrived for dying the throws to cover our beige sofas in the conservatory and Anne Summers invites hacve arrived too - need to fill them out, sureflap cat flap guy is going to call me back too to try and work out what the hell si wrong with this blooming microchip cat flap, still need to read over and decide which CTF to put C's v into. At least DD is away today - I actually managed to get them both sleeping for 7.10pm last night and had a lovely soak in the bath in peace - heaven.

We are off to see the PIL tomorrow, Saturday going to softplay to meet a whole load of people so if I don't speak soon have a great weekend all.

DISNEY - if you are lurking make the most of the family time - these blooming PCs eat up loads of time!!!

xxxxxxxx

X posts RED - fab - enjoy the peace and speedy ear healing vibes to DS1.

Weight loss - lost 3 lbs this week! Just praying it keeps going down though as I still have another 1st7.5lbs to go.

Momma23 · 16/04/2009 13:48

Rumpel
What you have lost i have put on! As i said i will eat my way out of this one! no other option really....
Well done on the weight loss and keep up the good work.

Red
Ear infection poor little mite, DD2 had on going problems with hers for so long. Finally have the gromits in and they are great. No more waking at night and screaming the house down! Hope it clears up soon.

ponto · 16/04/2009 15:49

I am trying to eat my way out from under a chocolate mountain too! I must lose some weight before my brother's wedding in September, but it is getting ever closer and there is no significant change, a pound on, a pound off. Maybe when I go back to work a week on Monday I will feel motivated to be more careful. There are always such lovely biscuits at coffee time at work though

Bryony has decided that crawling is not exciting enough, now she wants to pull herself up to stand every chance she gets. would be good if she could learn to walk early as then I wouldn't have to worry so much about the thick layer of dog hair all over the house - think the dog was just waiting for Bryony to learn to crawl to start a major moult.

Rumpel, Anne Summers!! Far too racy for me, I have led a very sheltered life I think.

sweetkitty · 16/04/2009 16:27

Bethany has decided that crawling about the carpet looking for things to eat is her new favourite past time. She is so messy at mealtimes she is covered in strawberry juice today, she wasn't that interested in a BF at all this afternoon but was very tired so I put her in her cot and lo and behold she is asleep

Rumpel - Luna plasticky I do like the Lunamix much better than the plain old Luna, apparently the Zapp is quite low down and hard to push if you are tall (so no problem for me then) and I wanted a bumper bar too. Also you can change the covers and hoods, what more could you ask for ? Oh and B will definitely need a man she can boss around all I can say is my poor son-in-law to be's. DD1 is actually a bit upset as her "boyfriend" at nursery is moving to Aberdeen and he was supposed to be in her class at school, she loves his lovely orange hair so if DD3 is like her sister, C will be fine Good on you with the Ann Summers party they are a great laugh.

Red - hope Louis is feeling better soon x

mama2leah · 16/04/2009 16:53

hey guys...bn lurkin not really been posting

sweetkitty · 16/04/2009 17:04

M2L - hello and good to see you, sounds like Leah won't be long until she is crawling then, have a great time in the Middle East, are you visiting family? Will it be the first time Lean will have been abroad?

Took some pics of the new Lunamix, bear in mind it is Bethany's pram but the other two wanted to sit in it here

mama2leah · 16/04/2009 20:01

no, just going travelling, yup first time..abit worried... ne tps?]]aww cute

bebejones · 16/04/2009 21:07

P had her hearing tested at the hospital today, all absolutely fine! Turns out she is just ignorant...as we thought! She turned on the charm for the doctors though...little tart!

Phoebe is a hoover too! Squirms & wriggles her way around the floor 'eating' bits of rug fluff! Nightmare!

Rumpel - good luck on the weight loss front! I want to lose about 3 stone (would still be 'overweight for my height but would feel comfortable) giving myself a year...just in time to TTC number 2!!

Sorry PC went weird!!

Momma23 · 17/04/2009 08:47

Morning all,

SO of all the baby crawlers, It will feel like a milestone when DD3 does crawl/walk.

Shopping last night went well, home V late. MAnaged to get new trainers and so tops and of course lovely comfi Pj's very important.

Momma23 · 17/04/2009 13:39

Just had results of my smear test, there showing change in cells. Have to go back in 4 months from the date of the smear and check if they have cleared or need treatment.
Has anyone ever this happen?

Poledra · 17/04/2009 14:47

Yes, Momma23, I have - went for smears on a six month interval for a couple of years, then all fine and back to the usual 3-year interval.

pigleychez · 17/04/2009 18:51

Hiya,

Well finally finished putting up all the ikea flat pack. Was rather stressful with Abigail trying to "help".
Abigails room is done now all bar a shelf and pitting up a few pics. Ive posted a couple of pics on FB.

DH is still off work this week so we took A swimming this morning which she loves. Forgot it was school holidays though

SK- You def sound like the pram expert Love the pics of the girls in the pram. Very pink! Wont lose you in a crowd!

re choc- We only got 1 egg each this year and they went straightaway! Good really I suppose.

Thankfully everyone took my hints of Abigail not having choc yet and she got clothes and toys.

Red- Hope Louis gets better soon.

Rumpel- The research sounds interesting. Keep us updated as to how it all goes.
Well done on the weight loss.

Ponto- Abigail is too pulling herself up on anyone and everything! She stands up only holding on with one hand and even let go completely for a few secs yesterday!!

M2l- enjoy your holiday

Bebe- Glad everything went ok with the hearing test

Momma- A friend had this too. They just wanted to be sure but was fine. Not sure how true it is but heard that it can take up to a year after birth to get a true reading. I know the nurse told me not before 6mths.

bebejones · 17/04/2009 21:00

Momma - 2nd pigley, a friend had exactly that! Plus I ws also told to wait 6 months to a year to have one for the same reason!

DH & I have been talking about talking a 'proper' holiday next year before we have number 2. There have been talks of Hawaii!!! SO excited, although a little unsure of taking a toddler on long haul who knows number 2 could be conceived there if we go!!

P is still very snotty, doesn't seem to be improving at all, she is so hot & fractious all the time. Don't think it helps that she is teething aswell. Think the calpol may have given her the runs (6 fairly runny poos today, sorry TMI) but the doc had said to carry on giving it to her on weds when he saw her so am unsure?!?!

Had to have my first filling today, not a nice experience, will be brushing my teeth even more carefully than ever from now on. But hey, made it to 26 with no fillings or dental work at all. Bit gutted coz it was my wisdom tooth & it only appeared in January!! P had headbutted it & it cracked, then had some toffee at my grans and out came a chunk

Pigley - Abigails room looks lovely, the green & pink combo is lovely & fresh/spring looking. Phoebe has an all green room coz we painted it before we knew what we were having...have made it girly with pink accesories! Can't wait til she moves into the bigger bedroom & we can paint it pink!!!!

P is singing in her cot coz she doesn't want to go to sleep...very funny! Must go research holidays!!!

Momma23 · 17/04/2009 21:08

Pigley
I had a smear after DD2 within the 6 months all came back fine. Think it was only a couple of weekd after. Just got a bit of a shock when i got the call, and as always all the kids were crying! (always happens) Hopefully all will have gone back to normal by the time the next smear comes along.

Poledra
Glad all is well and you are back to having the smear every 3 yrs.

JODIEwantsanewname · 18/04/2009 07:48

momma23 I'm sure it's nothing to worry about, if it was they'd have you back straight away!

Pigley I love A's bedroom, it's amazing! [grin}

bebe I;m so of your big holiday plans, FWIW, I would avoid Hawaii, I went on my honeymoon, as as much as it is the most beautiful place on God's Earth, its almost a day away on plane (12 hours to LA, another 6 to Hawaii, and that without lay overtimes) ^and they are 10 hours beind us, so their day is our night and vice versa, so P will ba all confused (Jet lag is a bugger!) There are so many just as lovely places to go closer to home, some of the Greek Islands for example, The Azures, Florida Keys if you fancy something abit further afield!

OP posts:
Isaidno · 18/04/2009 08:16

sk - poppy was eating some silver foil here too! your buggy looks lush.

no crawling here, just getting onto tumy, wriggling then crying.

can't stay and chat, got to get dressed then wrap bday pressies - got 2 parties today and 1 tomorrow.
And I'm still washing up

JODIEwantsanewname · 18/04/2009 08:42

Sorry had to dash 1/2 way through last post!

Isaidno Oh no at your washing up, I thought it was going to be sorted on Weds?

SK Thanks for all the advice on the buggies, DH vetoed the idea though (well actually he said 'do what the f** you want' which basically means, do it and I'll leave!!!) he gets very 'emotional' about my ongoing desire to fund the baby sector of the retail industry!!! I can understand, I had to fight tooth and nail to get the P & T, which he's still not sure we needed, and he has to pay at the end of the day, also we have no money, so if I do sell anythning, there are other things we need to spend money on. BTW I Love your pimped up Lunamix!

OP posts:
sweetkitty · 18/04/2009 16:47

Rough night here last night, Bethany was up for an hour and had a temperature, gave her baby Nurofen which sorted her out but boy is she tired today.

We were at a palydate yesterday and someone was there with their 14 week old DS and she put him on the rug with B and B prompty hit him on the head with a Thomas train - oops. She wasn't that impressed but what can you do she is 9 months old.

Thanks for all the comments re the new pram am loving it

Isaidno - about the washing up

Jodie - boo about the prams, we are the same though I am selling on ebay to fund this one and have promised DP it is my last

bebejones - poor P she is having a time of it, B is the same still really snotty. Am of your holiday plans we are off to Centerparcs in 4 weeks and that will be us, don't think I could cope taking my lot abroad.

pigley - Abigails room looks lovely you must be so please with it

Momma23 - I agree with everyone else apparently it takes a year for you body to recover after birth, last time I had to go for 3 tests in the end as they kept coming back as not enough cells for a reading

Isaidno · 18/04/2009 20:53

dishwasher now not coming until THURSDAY!!!
DH's boss's fault - he's changed his day off, and he has to be home in case the delivery man comes during school run time.

Momma23 · 18/04/2009 22:09

Evening all

Thanks for all your reassurance on the smear test results. Got a bit of a frigh but now am alot more at ease.

Rough night here too, Leah was up half the night couldnt settle herself! I was so drained and tired, felt sick and just wanted a good nights sleep. It is always when i need to sleep i get a rough night.

SK
I have to at B for hitting the baby, sure she is only a baby herself. Leah gets bathered here on a daily basis by DD2, needless to say DD3 and 2 do not get on.

HAd a nice day here today sun was out girls were happy and it sure as hell felt good having nice weather. Plus i got 3 loads of washing dry and the dogs bed is washed and drying!

ponto · 19/04/2009 20:38

Very quiet in here today, guess everyone's out enjoying the good weather. Bryony has enjoyed sitting on a blanket in the garden, playing with my pegs while I hang out washing. Quite a lot of grass was eaten though while I had my back turned, judging by the blades of grass sticking out of her mouth! Should make for interesting nappies tomorrow

SK, hope Bethany feels better today. Baby Nurofen is great stuff though.

Bebejones, I didn't have any fillings until I had children, now I have 4 . I'm really good about cleaning my teeth and flossing, so I feel very hard done by! I think the babies just steal all your calcium!

Crawling has moved up a notch now - Bryony has dicovered the route from the playroom to the kitchen and came in to take all the plastic pots out of the cupboard this evening! I am now looking back fondly on the days when I could just put her down in one place and she would stay there.

pigleychez · 20/04/2009 13:55

Blimey it has been quiet!

Hope all bubbas are well and happy.

We too have been out in the garden quite a bit. Abigail happily playing on the rug whilst im doing the odd bit of gardening- The previous owners werent really gardeners.
Had lunch out on the patio today too. Its so nice to have a quiet garden, Our old garden backed onto a dual carraige way so rather noisey!

Well Im very happy with Abigail today. Last night was fab!! She went off fine as normal at 8pm and didnt wake again till 5.30am this morning! 6 Is the normal time she wakes anyway so practically a full nights sleep!! Question is was it just a one off!?!?

isaidno- on the washing up. We dont have a dishwasher- just DH
I sympathes with your waiting though. We ar waiting for a new oven but they called yesterday saying theres been a delay and its looking like it wont even be made this month let alone delivered!! We have an inherited oven the previous owners left but its grim grim grim!! Im using the hob but thats it! Dinners take abit more thought now.

bebe- A holiday sounds fab! - We have a week in Great yarmouth booked for sept. Thats about as exotic as it gets for us this year
