Thrilled that you enjoyed aquanatal Daland sincerely hope you make some friends both there and at post-natal classes.
NC hope the 'bumpy' feeling is receeding and the itchy legs have improved.

I spent most of yesterday cleaning at my Mums because she is in so much pain with her back thats he cant change her bedding or use the vac...however it is a bit scary to see how much she has let slip .. proof positive that she hasn't been fit enough to do a lot of jobs (eg windows) for a lot longer than she admits... I remember Mum talking about my gran in a similar vein about 20 yrs ago....it is scary watching age catch up with your parents.

Thanks Floria, I did enjoy it...

Your poor mum, hope her back pain gets better soon. Anything to do with your parents seeming 'old' is always a bit scary, it's almost like you see them as invincible and it ruins the illusion. Well thats my experience anyway. Lovely of you to go and help her out but then you're a lovely person!

NC - How are you today?

Hi Ladies

had a very early start thins morning courtesy of the little darling, what tricked me into getting up by saying she needed the toilet, little fibber, what she meant was that she wanted to go down, have her milk and chill out in front of the TV.

FT~I feel for you re your Mum, I struggle to go and see my nana, or even speak to her on the phone, as she is so obviously in pain and is nearly in tears when telling me her latest ailments and seems to be just waiting to die, obviously thats not the case with your Mum! But what I mean is, its so difficult to see them like that, when they have been so able before and look after you. I hope she improves

Am not feeling so great to be honest, trying to look forward to going away, but...

Have Richies Mum and his sister coming for lunch, so need to at least clean the floor, don't want her telling people I'm a tramp!

NC sorry you were tricked in to getting up early... Sorry you're still not feeling great either, please let us know if there's anything we can do to help.

hello everyone!
Thanks for all the messages about the job - you were all saying the same sort of thing that I was thinking. So have decided to go for it on a temporary basis, but I need to talk to my boss now about exactly what's expected and for how long - and she's not had time to call yet. I hate it when you finally make a decision but can't act on it straight away....
In the meantime I am enjoying my last few days holiday with DS. Went to meet a friend at a farm shop cafe today, and off to the pub tonight. Tomorrow DH is taking a day off work so we can take DS to the zoo.
Ooh, and have a new hair cut and colour to go with the 50 pounds in weight i've lost now!

FT - I agree its scary seeing your parents get older. My mum lives so far away that I can't just pop round and say hello. Wish i'd gone in my weeks off - but she was at guide camp....
Dal - glad you enjoyed the aquanatal. And hope you manage to make some nice friends - you are an experienced mum that new mums will really value!
Inzi - wish i was counting down to a lovely holiday - you deserve it
NC - hugs for you and hope the dinner guests didn't remark on the cleaning...

Hello to everyone I've missed - Hope you are all ok xxxx

NC - enjoy your break as best you can. Have posted on your other thread. Big hugs (and a swift clip round the ear for thinking we wouldn't be sympathetic ).

Dal - really glad you enjoyed your aquanatal and met some nice people.

FT - sorry your mum is suffering - hope her back gets better soon.

Strawberry - bet the new haircut looks fab. You must feel great!

Anya fetched her potty last night before her bath and sat on it for a while. I think we are best letting her do that when she wants and waiting until she decides she is ready. It is a bit early yet admittedly.

My parents have Anya today - my last day to myself for a while as from next week they will be having her on a day I'm working. So I'm getting lots of jobs done (honestly!) like sorting out cupboards and Anya's clothes etc.

Sorry not been about ladies - my sister was staying so didn't have time to get online much apart from purely functional stuff!

Just skim read so probably missed loads but had to say that I read your other thread NC and I really feel for you. What a difficult decision to have to make. 110% behind your decision and sending you big hugs and the offer of chat if you need it xxx

Sorry to not have more to add but shattered after a long shift today and full of cold so need my bed. I am away at mum and dad's for the long weekend so won't be about until Mon but thinking of you all! xxx

NC also wanted to add that taking the decision you have is certainly NOT selfish. There is nothing selfish in choosing a difficult path because at the moment this is not right for your whole family

Blooming awful weather here...and another busy weekend ahead trying to create a lawn ..oh what joy ... (ft wanders off wondering how much astro turf would cost)

Hiya Ladies,

How are you all?

News from the TLES household.

Karl starts secondary in 10 days and I still haven't got all of his uniform arghhhhh. His behaviour really improved last week when I made him go to bed early and I mean early so it is as i suspected very much sleep related. I am a bit peed off atm as his father text me earlier to say he wanted to stay this weekend and that was fine as long as he realised he would have to put up with sleeping on the sofa as he lives with someone and her son. he has not seen him for 4 fucking years and he expects me to let him stay???? sorry for the swearing there!

Zachary has been going to sleep pretty early before 8.30 so that is a break through lol. He is still sleeping straight through as well. I had his feet measured last week he is a 7 1.2f in clarkes. I also had to go and buy him a complete new wardrobe of clothes as he has had a major growth spurt. So I have 12-18m, 2-3 yrs clothes up for grabs if anyone interested. He also has 4 new teeth coming through....arghhhh lol.

We have had a great few days in bournemouth. We went to a friends to stay overnight we ended up staying 3 nights as neither them or us wanted us to go lol. It was pretty manic with 5 boys but lots of fun in the evening when they were all asleep we played poker, roulette, board games and had loads a few drinks and munchies. we went to the beach, crabbing, shopping and the boys all played great together...except the youngest 2 - Zachary and L. I felt bad for L because although there are only 2 months between them Zachary towers over him. L is soooooo dinky and in 9-12m clothes, while Zachary is lumpy lol and in 3-4 yr clothes, so you can imagine the difference and they kept fighting...actually it was quite comical.

We are still looking for a flat and could have had any number of one IF the deposits were not so high!

Anyway I have some bits to take out of the car so I will be back tomorrow.

xxx

Morning all!

I dont dip into MN in general these days...(just keep to my threads)...but if any of you have come across TrinityRhino you might want to know that she tragically lost her husband in a car crash last Monday (there was a thread infoming us yesterday). I've come across her a few times and am so upset for her.

Tles Hope you manage to get the rest of Karls uniform this week (blooming expensive I know..we have been helping sil kit out our nephew)Glad to hear of the behaviour improvement...proof positive that mums know better than psychiatrists. Wow at Zachs size! Alex is only just properly in his 18mth-2yr clothes and still in size 5 shoes! And good to hear that you have had such a good time in Bournemouth. Totally understand you attitude to Karls father and I for one am not offended by your understandable need to express your feelings graphically ... the only reason we try not to swear on here is so that some of the girls can't access us from work as the language filters block the thread if we swear. Hope you find a flat that you can afford the deposit on soon.

Yet another garden set back ...the weather has stopped us rotovating and rolling for 2 weeks (too wet..it just churns up and sticks to the roller) and now the last 3 trees have started dying...they are evergreens and now going brown and dropping needles..it looks like the diggers damaged their roots...so now they are going to have to be chopped down before we can turf....it is a never ending job and I am heartily sick of it. Off to Newark and Notts show ground today to the Bouvier Rally..lots of agility/fancy dress/ sausage and cider competitions ..its usually good fun ... shame we are only going for the day, before Alex we used to go and camp there for the whole long weekend and had such great times..perhaps next year if Alex at almost 3 will be containable in a tent[doubtful emoticon]....back to the garden tomorrow

Afternoon ladies,

WWAJC - Anya's interest in the potty sounds promising. Guess she'll gradually come round to the idea

Alicet - Great to hear from you again. Hope you've had a lovely time with your sis . Hope your cold is better soon...

Les - Hope you manage to get Karls uniform sorted on time, sure you will!

Great news on Zacharys sleep!

Sounds like you had a wonderful time in Bournemouth, I love trips like that

Sorry Karls dad is being annoying (to say the least!). I'm sure you know what is best for you and your family and will look after Karls interests.

Hope you find a flat with an affordable deposit soon...

Floria - I came across the Trinityrhino threat this morning , absolutely devastating... I posted but what can you say to help in that kind of situation? Not much I guess

Sorry you've had another setback with the garden... Our's is tiny and is still taking ages to get sorted so cna imagine you're pretty fed up about it! Hope it all comes together soon.

Hope you enjoy the Bouvir Rally today

I'm pretty tierd at the moment.. Dh is off till tomorrow so he's been letting me rest and watching Dylan thank god. he stiff I got from the docs for my indigestion isn't working that much better than the gaviscon so that's made me feel a bit fed up that it's still bothering me. I've lost 8lb so far from a combination of ms and now indigestion. I just don't feel like eating much as it just makes my stomach feel uncomfortable . Humf, should stop moaning really, could be worse.

I'm looking forward to my aquanatal on tues though which is good
