Morning ladies,

In the spirit of getting this thread moving again as floria said, here I am

Pixie- LOL at 'cock,cock,cock'

WWAJC - Glad the bedroom is finished, bet it's great!

Alicet - Great to have your sis there, I love it whe my bro's visit and vica versa Hope you're having a lovely time

Inzi - Great news about your grandad, glad he's comfortable. Great about the dog too .

Glad you had such fun at your bro's, have been looking at the pics on fb, looks like you had a lovely time.

Floria - Love the balloon conversation

They're becoming so entertaining lately aren't they?! I'm contantly laughing at Dylan. he keeps saying 'upsy daisy' when he drops something and 'come on man' if he's waiting for us to go somewhere.

Well, big day today, i'm kinda scared now. I have this irrational fear that they'll say the baby stopped growing weeks ago , no real reason to think that but it would be my worst nightmare. Must try to stay positive!

FloriaTosca · 19/08/2009 11:32

dal I'm sure everything is fine but fingers crossed for a perfect scan pic for us all to coo over tonight. How cute Dylan saying "come on man!"

inzi lol at "lights off!" I bet that helped pass a fair few miles with smiles on your faces ...Alex is always playing at going to bed (probably because he doesnt get much real practise at it)getting into my bed, pulling over the duvet saying "night, night!" and demanding I turn off the "light" pointing at the window... he just doesn't get that I can't switch off the sun.

Crochet I see on Fb that you are potty training M ...good luck...A has been in pants for months now but still has occasional accidents for no apparent reason [trying hard to hide my frustration emoticon] First day of hols was one of them...3 times in 2 hours despite putting his potty in the middle of the living room ... no apparent reason except being excited and destracted by the new surroundings... fortunately by day 2 he was back to normal or I would have been spending the whole holiday hand washing his shorts!

Thanks inzi, sorry didn't let you all know sooner, can only access fb from my mobile for some reason?!

Scan went fine, sonographer was very matter of fact and we were in and out again in no time so not much of an 'experience'.

Still, she was professional and good at her job, due date was spot on (6th March). I had a tear in my eye when she showed me the screen and I could see all was ok. Dylan sat in his buggy shouting and chewing his toy car (teething). Dh is over the moon, seems more 'real' to him now he's seen the 'evidence'

FloriaTosca · 19/08/2009 19:51

Dal;congratulations again...sonographers must get a bit blase when they see the miracle so very often. glad it was a moving experience for you and Dh though.

I am counting to 10 severaltimes atm...dh away so mil is babysitting while I teach 6-7...just before she arrived sil phoned to say nephew was kicking off because she had offered to bring him to help babysit here(I ouldnt have wanted it, he always over stimulates alex )but he had ignored her so she had set off without him, could mil pick Alex up and take him back there to pacify nephew? (what the...???)...mil arrived just behind pupil, and said she'd go back! I had to get my car seat out of my car, and put it in her car while pupil is sitting waiting for her lesson... I said I'd be finished at 7...sil has just phoned 7.45! do I want to go and pick him up? aaaarrrggghhh he should be in his bath now ready for bed at 8.00. I've said no they can bring him back.. I'm hopping mad!

Dalrymps · 19/08/2009 20:21

Thanks Floria

How bloody annoying for you! Why do people have to be so inconsiderate?! I would be hopping mad also. Hope he's back safely now and you've managed/are managing to get him off to bed ok. Hope he hasn't been too over stimulated...

NeedCoffee · 19/08/2009 21:42

great news Dal, so happy for you

Alice-great to hear from you, will make more of an effort.

FT-how rude! Hope they where apolegetic when they got back.

Inzi-so glad the wishing worked?(or seemed to) ?I wished very hard

Am loving all the cute convos and phases.

Just popped on quickly as I have been at the caravan for my 2 nights with the girls and Richie's mum and her daughter, been very very looooooooooooooong!
not seen Rich for a while and he's going away tomorrow so will hsve plenty of catch up time then. (Oh will need to remember to tell you about Shannon getting poo in Richies 2 yo sisters hair )

love to all!

FloriaTosca · 19/08/2009 22:29

Hi! got him to bed ay 9.15!!...he was sooo super stimulated...they had taken all 3 grandkids to the park playing football and picking blackberries at 6.30pm...what gets me is that 5yr old nephew has his mother and both grandmothers jumping through hoops...as far as I'm concerned if he ignored his gran and didnt come out with her then he should suffer the consequences by being left at home not get her dashing back dragging my toddler behind her... if Alex did the same thing I wouldnt dream of asking her to come back....ho hum, looks like I'll have to hire a babysitter in future as Alex is so low in his grans priorities.
NC As to appologies, oh no, they were just full of what a fab time the kids had had and how tired they were and how well Alex should sleep tonight after all the running he had done. Sorry you 2 nights at the caravan dragged...enjoy your night with Rich....as to the Shannon poo story, I, for one, am intrigued

alicet · 19/08/2009 22:35

Hello all...

just a quicky - Dal where do you go for your scans? Wasn't wansbeck hospital by any chance? I was at work today (there!) and could have met up for a coffee if so!

Onto the funny things los say - the best from Adam at the mo is 'Oh dear me!', esp to really silly things like a tony piece of fluff on the floor which he will bring and present to me with 'oh dear me!' very funny!

Hope you're all well - Soph has arrived safe and well but v tired so she has headed off to bed. Promise to try and keep in touch - Floria is spot on that we have all become a bit crap of late!

alicet · 19/08/2009 22:38

cross posted Floria - can totally see why you are spitting chips! Can't believe your sil either...

Dalrymps · 19/08/2009 22:51

Alicet - I go to the 'Mather Unit' in Berwick i'm afriad. had my scans at Rake Lane last time... Wish it had been Wansbeck, i'd have loved to have met up with you!

I'm giving birth at wansbeck though so with any luck you'll be there when i'm in and you can visit the new baby! Eek!

Stefka · 19/08/2009 23:30

Hello all I am back!!!!!

Back to work too.

Missed chatting with you all - got a lot of catching up to do.

Dareh is fab, talking all the time! Sleep still not sorted but still sort of getting there. Still BF but less so now I am at work - starting to wonder if he will ever stop! Not even thought about toilet training yet. Think that is about it. Can you believe they will all be two soon?

Dalrymps · 20/08/2009 08:39

Stefka! Great to have you back!

Saw your holiday pics on fb, looks like you had a lovely time

FloriaTosca · 20/08/2009 11:38

Welcome home stefka glad you had a good time. With you on the bf front...think I'll be feeding at the school gates if I leave weaning to Alex ... but must admit I'm in no rush to forego our lovely morning cuddly bfs just yet.

NeedCoffee · 20/08/2009 18:20

FT-is there any students close by? neighbours? that could maybe sit in with him whilst you teach.

Alice-hope you have lovely time with your sis.

Dal-so excited for you!

Stefka-good to 'see' you again.

will tell you about thepoo incident....Shannon was running round with no bottoms outside as we are potty training, but wasn't near a potty, so poo'd on the floor, I cleaned it up but as we had just come from the beach and I had no wet wipes i thought i'd stick her in the shower, wipe her bum, then shower her, not realising it was quite, erm, squidgy round her buttocks, so carried her in a sitting position, richies mum was in the bathroom rinsing his sister down and then went to move out the way while we got in, but the sister ducked under Shannon to get out and kind of rubbed on her, hence a rather large orange, poo streak accross the head she was not impressed!

DVD night for me and DDs tonight, Marley and me, I can see thee being tears.

Hope everyone are well today xx

NeedCoffee · 20/08/2009 18:26

oh ps I passed my exam

Dalrymps · 20/08/2009 21:07

NC - The 'poo incident' sounds very funny

Congratualtions on passing your exam!!! Woo hoo, so pleased for you

Stefka · 20/08/2009 21:39

Congratulations NC - well deserved!

How often do you feed now Floria? Most people think I am weird now. He just loves it and I couldn't stop without causing him total distress. He still wants to feed several times a day if I am around but is fine if I am not. I am trying to stop at night though as I need to sleep and the last couple of nights it hasn't sent him to sleep so I have ended up telling him a very long story!

Stefka · 20/08/2009 21:59

Dal just spotted your news - fantastic!

Love reading all the things your LO's are saying. I love their take on the world. It's scary when you hear yourself speaking from their mouths though if you know what I mean! Dareh is so bossy these days - he is always telling us what to do in such a matter of fact way. It's all OK coat off mummy , sit chair, boo boo (meaning he wants bf). I am trying to teach him please but he adds it to some funny things - the other day he banged his knee and wailed that it was 'a bit sore please!'

Stefka · 20/08/2009 22:01

Are you all potty training btw? Floria I know you are way head of the game there but what about everyone else? Dareh has a potty and he sits on it and says poo pee but that's about it.

NeedCoffee · 20/08/2009 22:10

Stefka-I'm potty training but only when we're at home or with family and near a potty, not rushing, she wees and usually poos on potty but she has no problem with doing it nappy still and doesn't like to keep her pants on.

Dal-thanks

We have funny phases too, usually in a souther accent for some reason
she says

'oh no, its (r)waining' or 'not waining, hot, need hat'
'silly Daddy'
'i'm a bad girl' Don't know where she gets that from!
'one, two, free, four, fivse, nine' Don't know how, much she manages to lisp the five!

Shes obsessed with my dad atm, and comes to get him saying'pram pease gandad' also she loves shrimps and had my dad peeling them for her, they'd all gone and she was kicking off shouting 'MORE PEASE!!!'
oh also 'naughty (Le)onie'

and she's very good at manners now, nearly always says 'pease' and 'tank you'

FloriaTosca · 20/08/2009 23:02

Congratulations on passing your exam NC
I'm very impressed at Shannons counting..we have had 1,2 for ages but he refused to try to say 3 until about a month ago then suddenly today "one, two, free, four, fii, sik."and hours later, seeing a pupil out of the door,"eight, ni(ne), ten" ...dont know where seven has gone and I doubt he'll repeat them until he goes to school Glad to hear that her manners are good too..Alex is good at "plea(se)" but often forgets his "tank oo". I am already considering asking one of my pupils to swap a lesson for a couple of hours baby sitting...

Stefka Alex bosses me about all the time too...always patting the sofa saying "chair! milk! plea(se)! aw right!" I try to keep him occupied so he doesnt ask for milk too often but left to him he would be on the boob every hour...he has been known to just pull down my t-shirt and help himself...but he doesnt seem to miss it when I'm not there, just demand it the moment I return. I'm trying to get him down to morning and night (not very sucessfully as yet though)

look at the time! bed for me!

Stefka · 21/08/2009 06:28

Sounds like Alex and Dareh are cut from the same cloth! I was hoping to get him down to am/pm too but the second I am in the door he asks - doesn't even say hello first! He did go to sleep by himself again last night - well with me telling him stories so not by himself but it was after boob which had not sent him off again.

Dareh's counting is also random - 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10. Not sure what happened 5, 6 and 7!

Morning ladies,

Stefka - I would say Dareh's counting is impressive, Dylan can't count at all yet!

I feel exhausted this morning. Not helped by the fact dh and I had a big argument last night and went to bed late after getting back on speaking terms. I feel quite sad about it . He seems to be annoyed/irritated/dissatisfied with a lot of the thingd I do/don't do/ don't do correctly. I told him if I make him so miserable then maybe we should just call it a day. He said he didn't want that and that he just wanted us to make changes, I said I feel he wants me to change who I am to make him happy. I said I've tried changing my behaviour to make him happier in the past several times and it's never worked, in fact i've just felt taken for granted and he's just carried on being grumpy/stressed/rritable a lot of the time. I said it's over and i'll go and stay at his mums, he said fine and then I got really upset and bawled my eyes out at his non-reaction.

He cuddled me and said he was so sorry for upsetting me so much and I wasn't a bad person and he loved me. He said he was sorry for being so horrible to me and he was shocked that he had been so horrible and upset me so much. He kept sying sorry and to give him another chance.

We've had arguments like this before, he always says sorry then it goes back to the same a short while later, I just flet numb as I know in my heart nothing will change.

I can't leave though, i'm terrified of coping on my own and couldn't take Dyaln away from his daddy
