WWAJC - Glad the funeral went ok.

Exciting news on the possible extension, wish we could afford one, maybe in the future!

Hello everyone!

DH has gone out to see a friend, DS is in bed asleep(i think, although I can hear the odd noise upstairs, so perhaps not), and I am enjoying my first - very dilute - alcoholic drink for over two years! DS has definitely decided that he doesn't want to bf anymore, so I can safely start drinking again - I didn't like to before....

Floria - thanks for your kind words re: the self-weaning. I am pleased that he's decided this for himself, as I'm not sure how much longer I would've wanted to bf anyway. It's a lot longer than I ever, ever imagined I would do when we had so many problems in the beginning. Tonight we had a very nice cuddle and read of his new peppa pig books (latest obsession) while he drank his milk, which was really nice. good luck for however much longer you carry on for!

WWAJC - glad the funeral went well. We are hoping that we get planning permission to start our extension very soon - will give us a much better space

Alice - great news about the house. Fingers crossed that Monday is ok.

Hello to everyone else, hope you are all ok. Going to investigate the noises I can hear upstairs now, and to get another drink - i may be a little possed later!

Fab news Alice. Sooo pleased for you all xxxx

We had a FAB time with Ollie in London. We went to the Science museum in the end as Ollie wanted to go to the museum 'where you can do things' we'd told him about it before but he's not been that fussed. This time it was great, we saw a film about sharks in the imax cinema which he found fascinating -have taken photos of us in our glasses! Then looked at the exploring space exhibit then had lunch and then to the launchpad bit where you can investigate so many things, all hands on. We then taxied over to Hamleys where we treated him to a few things (Ben 10 watch, Knights costume as his doesn't fit anymore and bits of Lego) then we trained it home in time to pick Hen up from nursery so a brill day had by all. As Ollie was up at 5.30am he was knackered (dh had bought a party kit of balloons with a helium pump and lined the stairs with balloons as well as 'I am 5!' banners. To say Ollie was excited would have been and understatement!)

Today we did lots of jobs, I had a tutorial whilst dh built Lego things with Ollie. Bought an icandy pushchair as my £5 one from ebay has given up the ghost and we can convert this into a double and back again when/if needed. Let Ollie watch Robin Hood and think that's now going to be a regular sat night date to watch Robin beat the baddies again

WWAJC - Glad to hear MIL's funeral went as well as could be expected...extension to the house sounds great! Midwife was the same one I saw for booking in who isn't the easiest to get along with. She doesn't really do eye contact ('any questions...?' she appeared to ask the computer screen)

Crochet - Glad you're back! How's your eyes?

LLL - Really hoping the sleep patterns settle soon for you and are really hoping you're enjoying your girlie weekend away. Fingers crossed for your dh!

Hi Dal, Floria at your MIL, mine, needcoffee, inzi (how goes the weight? x) stefka and all the rest of you lovely ladies xxxx

hello all - just had to pop on to tell you this very very amusing story!!!

Dh sent me a text earlier when we were out basically saying that I looked hot and he fancied a bit of action . Well he thought he had sent it to me....

Only he sent it to his mum!!!!!!!

pmsl when he told me! She is pretty straight laced and although she is not stupid I definately think it was more information than she might have wanted

Report
alicet · 28/03/2009 22:12

When he realised (shortly before he sent it to me again!!!) he texted his mum again saying 'I trust you realise you weren't the intended recipient of that message!' to which she replied a very brief 'yes'....

Gosh! I got Davina - power of 3 dvd from ebay for £5.71. Just did it for the first time this morning and I am so unfit! I was totally pooped and had to pause it after the 'fat burning intervils' to catch my breath

Strawberry - glad you're ok with the self-weaning. And woohoo to alcohol !

Muppet - so glad Ollie had a good birthday.

Inzi - think you've done the right thing with that woman from toddler group. Keep going with the weight loss - it's great that you feel so fantastic with it.

Alice - pmsl at dh sending text to his mum. Even more pmsl at her reply!

Dal - I daren't even look at my old fitness dvds. My legs ache from spending half an hour in swimming pool with Anya this morning and all I did was walk round crouched down in the water. That's got to be the definition of unfit.

Have had a look at finances this morning - think we'd be struggling to afford an extension. Have to start budgeting a bit first. (So I then went to shops to buy a paper and bought a ton of crisps and chocolate as well - so that's where all the money goes ).

How are all the lo's coping with the hour difference today?

Dylan doesn't seem to have noticed much of a change with the time. We're just feeding him as normal at the normal time and seems to be going ok

Just had a stupid row with dh. We were sat here and it was Dylan's tea time. I was going to cook tea so assumed dh would feed Dylan. I asked if he was waiting for me to feed Dylan as nothing seemed to be happening and he said no, are you waiting for me to? I said well, I thought i'd cook tea whilst you fed him but if you'd rather cook tea then i'll feed him. He said 'no i'll feed him'. Then we decided we weren't too hungry yet so i'd wait a bit before cooking tea. I was just sat in the lounge when he started asking what I was doing sat in the lounge all on my own. I said I was just keeping out of the way as Dylan was cranky with his teeth and didn't want to distract him eating and that I would be making the tea but we wern't having it yet. The he was all like, well I suppose i'm feeidng him then if you're just in there. I was like, what? We just discussed it, I gave you the choice and you decided to feed him. Then he was like 'well you made me feel I had to' then I said 'well, no I asked you what you wanted to do and you chose to feed him?!'. It then turned in to him saying I also let him get up with Dylan this morning which wasn't fair as it was a sunday and he doesn't get a day off. I reminded him he had just been on holiday for 5 days and I had taken it in turns with him to get up with Dylan for those 5 days so it was his turn today. He was like oh yeah well i'll be getting up early for work tomorrow. I was like 'well I get up at the same time as you plus I get up with Dylan and give him breakfast 5/6 days a week!'. Then he was just going on saying if it was him he'd have let me sleep in today as it was a sunday . I was like 'er, no, it was your turn and i'll be getting up with Dylan for the next 5 days so I don't have anything to feel guilty about. I just thought this was silly as i've been trying to give both him and myself time to rest over the past 5 days and he's just throwing it back in my face because I didn't do what he expected. I'm not psychic you know grrrr! Sorry guys, just needed to vent!

Hi all

PMSL!!!!At your dh's text Alice!!

Fab news Inzi xxx

Todya we have been doing jobs again. Henry was fine with the hours difference, he doesn;t seem affected by any time changes when it comes to sleep Ollie had his swimming test and passed so he moves up a group and in the afternoon dh and I built lego models (I actually di 2 myself not a great achievement but it's not something I did a lot of when I was younger)

Just booked tickest for Newbury Spring festival as I'm taking Ollie to see a saxaphone quartet and Henry a babies concert featuring the carnival of animals (shame Ollie's at school as he knows the COA) I'm also trying to see if we can take him to a full orchestral concert on a sat night -Dvorak's cello concerto so would be fab - but need to check with baby sitter.

love to all

Hi all,

not really got time to post at the moment, another exam tomorrow and Shannons being monster, the only time i get chance to revise is when they're in bed, and by then i'm too bloody tired.

Also been looking at jobs too, feel like a sitting duck re the benefits people, even though i know i haven't done anything wrong and the nasty neighbour is trying to cause trouble for me, having my visit on Weds, so shall see how that goes.

LES-not sure at the moment, it may end up being a lst minute thing, i think we're going to wait and se how we feel when we get back from hol, as i don't want to be driving down screaming at the kids cos i'm shattered etc, will let you know if anything changes.

Dal-bloody men, its like you have to write them a list I put the phone down on Rich last week because he was talking about statistics of poverty and he's such a know it all and a self imposed snob, he was doing my head in, so he only went and emailed me the bloody statistics, arghhhhhh, could of kicked him in the head, sometimes they just don't get it!

Alice-fab fab fab news about the house, so happy for you, is it far from your old one?
Have you heard from Choc? How's she doing?

Right, sorry for the ranting, she's fallen asleep now so going to try and get some chores done xx
