TBH, there is just so much going on atm that i don't know where to begin. Firstly we are still looking for a place to move to as the one we were meant to fell through. DS1's behaviour has gone from bad to worse to worser. I had an appt at the hospital with child psychologist which he refused to go to, but i overcame that i made him speak to Blake on the phone and tell him he wasn't going. He now comes here. DP and I are spending less time together as he is constantly working, i am constantly stressed (nothing changes there then!) and I desperatly want another baby!!!

Alice - yes we are seeing consultant again in 6 months.

Inzi - hope you are enjoying your shopping spree today.

LES - sorry things aren't going well atm. It's good that the psychologist will come to your house though - maybe that's better that ds sees him at home as things will be more relaxed? Shame about the house falling through, that's always stressful. Hopefully something else will come your way soon. I think Inzi's right about getting some time for you and dp on your own.

We are away for a long weekend tomorrow - big group of us going to a cottage again down in the Cotswalds. Can't wait to just chill out!

muppetgirl · 08/08/2009 10:13

Hi all!

WWAJC - glad the app went well, sounds really poistive and well worth trying. Hope you're having a lovely time in the cottage and the weather is behaving for you!

Alice - we pined really!!

Tles - sorry to hear things are all up in the air, I second what Inzi said and that we're all here...x

Inzi - Am very about your shopping spree but you totally deserve it after your massive weight lose. I can't wait to get some new clothes also as I feel I've been wearing the same 5/6 outfits for months.

Dal - hope you're well and the ms is easing xx

We are fine here, I have had major back problems and are on strong painkillers (that make me dizzy and sick ) as without them I literally can't bend in the middle. I can't pick Tobias up with 2 hands as I have to supposrt my weight when I bend over. I even cried in the Drs waiting room as I was in so much pain I have been referred back to the maternity physio as the Dr thinks it's something to do with the fluid that loosens the joints ready for birth that has losened my lower back and now it's tightening causing pain. Can't wait for the app to try to get it sorted.

On the plus side Tobias did 8pm, 12am and 4am last night which is a huge stpe forward as he has been feeding every 3-3 1/2 hours so stretching it to 4 is fab. I am b/f last thing at night, during the night and first thing in the morning as I have made the decision that I really won't be b/f in public with Henry to run around after. I feel much happier making that decision as then I am happy to go out now. Once he's sleeping through I'll do a morning and bedtime b/f.

Henry went straight up the stairs the other day, no practising just straight up and he was so confident. The walking seems to be getting better everyday and he's getting a little speed up too!

Hope all are well, I'll be back later
xxx

FloriaTosca · 08/08/2009 11:40

Hi Honies! I'm hooooome!

Alice Great to see you back...of course we pined! NC took herself of to Wales and I went to Cumbria to pine!Seriously though, I'm thrilled that you are settling into your new home at last.

WWAJC sorry about the job and hope something better comes up soon. Fab news about the consultant, sounds very encouraging.

Muppet Deep sympathy on the back thing...
I had the same thing after Alex (along with a problem in my left wrist) I thought it was due to the epidural(it seemed to be in the same spot) but it, and funnily enough my wrist problem, turned out to be the ligament tightening thing your Dr mentioned...I wasnt offered physio but given some back excersises to do at home and my back was ok after about 6 months (wrist took over a year though) Hope you get fixed more quickly. Glad you have made a decision about Bf that makes you happy, Tobias is doing so well! and Well done Henry, I said he'd make huge strides once he started.

Inzi...We are starting SW on Monday...I'll keep thinking about you and your marvelous achievement as inspiration to keep going.

DalHope the sickness is wearing off now. How long 'till we see the first scan?

Tles Hope things improve...esp. with ds1 now the psych is coming to you.

Well the lakes were stunning as usual but for once they weren't shrouded in dark clouds! We have had a lovely 6 days...I highly reccommend South Lakes Animal Park; lemurs, emus, kangaroos and wallabies all roaming free watching you eat, giraffes you can hand feed! All animals very up close and personal and adult entry only £11.50... seriously good value for money....Ravenglass to eskdale miniture railway another highlight... and food at the Kings Head in Broughton out of this world!...a memory that will have to sustain me for a long time as the caravan has far more mirrors than I find comfortable and I cant hide from the fact that I'm bigger now than I was when pg. SW starts on Monday.

Morning ladies!
crikey we are quiet here atm!
Diet has started brilliantly...whatever I ate last night disagreed with me caused indigestion/reflux/sickness/tummy gripes all night and so far today I haven't been able to face more than a glass of water. Depressing that I'm back to exactly the weight I started at 9 yrs ago..I can't believe that after all the hard 9 months work getting it off (and keeping it all off for 4 yrs)I have let 4st 10lb back on again!.. ho hum...if this tummy bug keeps it up I'll be at target in a fortnight! Thanks Inzi for offering support, I'm a 22/24 now though I'll never get down to a 10/12 (I didnt manage that when I was doing 7hrs a week in the gym and swimming 7 miles a week too!)I would like to be a 12/14 again and fit enough to keep up with my little imp here. all your new undies...what is it about nice lingerie that puts you on top of the world? (or is that just me?). Hope the carboot was a sucess this time.

wwajc Hope the cotswalds were beautiful and you had a fab weekend.

We spent Sunday trying to prepare this B* garden for turf ...dh rotovating, me raking after him and pulling out old roots and stones whilst watching that Alex didnt fall down the steps/run into rotovator blades/ eat stones/ take off his sunhat etc, etc....
I seriously can't wait for it to be finished with!!!!!

NeedCoffee · 10/08/2009 16:29

hi all, lost you for a while.

been away at my dads for the weekend with a few friends in the static caravan in his gardem, barbecue on and off all weekend, same with the alcohol had fun on the beach buggy, quad, mini motor bike round my Dads feild which was great fun, did some shrimping and swimming in the sea, then ate the shrimps later on, Shannon loved them 'more pease' constantly. Extreemly shattered today though.

Alice-so glad the house is fulfilling the dream, we missed you big time

WWAJC-hope you're having fun!

FT-good luck with the diet, just think how fab you'll feel at the end of it

Muppet-Hope Tobias continues to improve with his sleeping.

LES-How have things been?

Dal-you okay?

Where is everyone nowadays?

Oh, I've started smoking again mainly due to putting weight on I think, and possibly the Wales holiday as I felt really stressed out a lot of the time and started sneakily buying them, so nooed to go through the stopping process again soon, just hope I can do it without the tablets as they made me feel terrible.

More news from me-I'm going to be an Aunty to a Boy! He'll be the first Boy in our family for years, my Bro and his wife are due boxing day

NeedCoffee · 10/08/2009 16:31

FT-sorry, I meant to say I hope you feel better soon.

DD1 couldn't stop vomitting the other day and night, just after a visit to a Chinerse buffet in Castleford and I had the cramps too, its horrible.

FloriaTosca · 11/08/2009 13:09

NC; congratulations on your upcoming auntie-hood!What a lovely christmas pressie! I'm fine today..thanks for the good wishes... dont know what it was but it was nasty because I'm almost never sick...poor Alex had such a ratty mum yesterday. I'm sorry you found the need to hit the cigs again...and hope you find the gumption (if that the right word)to stop again soon, it must be so hard.

Well I went to SW this morning...my scales must be way out because I was 5.5lb lighter than mine weighed me at yesterday..whether that is due to the tummy bug or not is yet to be seen, but it has made me feel better because I'm starting in the next stones down...always a good psychological boost...ho hum...only 3st 8.5lb or 50.5lb or 22.9 kg to go then....positive thinking cap on...if I lose the 8.5lb by the end of the month I'll treat myself to a pedicure!

Dalrymps · 11/08/2009 21:50

AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH I just almost finished my post and accidentally deleted it

WhiteWineAndJaffaCakes · 11/08/2009 22:02

Muppet - hope you get an appt through soon to get your back sorted out. Glad Tobias is sleeping a bit better.

FT - glad you had a good time at the Lakes. Hope SW goes well - at least you got off to a good start .

NC - congrats on news about being an aunty.

Had a lovely time this weekend. The journey down was awful - the traffic was piled up on the M6 and Anya threw up vast quantities of teacake all over her nice new car seat. The rest of the weekend was fab - sunny weather, lots of food and late nights catching up with the gossip (doesn't go well with 5:45am starts though!). There were 6 children so Anya had plenty of playmates. The other girl is 3.5 and is incredibly bossy dominant and spent the whole weekend giving instructions to Anya ("baby play with this", "baby go in there", "baby draw") - so Anya spent half the weekend looking pitifully at me with her face on the verge of a wail until I (or the other girl's mum) intervened to keep the peace. We are already arranging next year's get-together.

I also have a new job . I've been offered that one that I was hoping to get so I rang them today and accepted. I'll be starting on 1 Sep and working Tue/Thur/Fri. My parents will babysit either Thur or Fri so hopefully it will work out well.

Dalrymps · 11/08/2009 22:05

OK, here goes, AGAIN!

Floria - Glad you're feeling better. It's great the weather was so nice on your holiday for once.

Good luck at SW, I'm rubbish at dieting. I really hope I can lose this 'baby weight' (as well as what's left from last time). Sure you'll do really well

NC - Sorry you've been stressed and have started smoking again. I 'relasped' a few times when I quit but I finally reached a poit when enough was enough and i've never looked back. Sure you can do it . Sounds like you had a great break away!

Inzi - Hope the car boot went well and you made lots of money!

Muppet - Hope your back is better soon, must be awful.

Glad Tobias is doing well with his sleep, may it long continue.

Wow at Henry going up the stairs, he'll be zooming all over soon. Be better on your back if he can manage them himself...

Les - How are you today? Don't forget we're all here if you want to talk...

WWAJC - Hope you had a lovely time in the Cotswalds

Alicet - I certainly do regret wishing I had ms, bleurgh! Hope you're enjoying the new house, how do the boys feel about it?

Well my ms has eased off the past week so it's no longer all day sickness anymore. I am now getting quite a few headaches however which make me feel nauseous anyway . Got my 12wk scan a week tomorrow, 19th Aug. I'm excited and nervous, will feel better once i've had it...

I see on FB hienz is only a couple of days off her due date, if you're reading heinz, good luck, pop back in with pics once the lo is here!

Hi to everyone else i've missed, hope you're all doing ok x

Dalrymps · 11/08/2009 22:10

x-posted WWAJC - Glad you had a great break away. Congratulations on the job! So pleased for you

FloriaTosca · 11/08/2009 23:13

WWAJC; CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! thrilled for you that you have the job you wanted!

TheLadyEvenstar · 12/08/2009 12:22

DS1 has had the child psychologist coming out for the last 3 weeks twice a week, to our home. DS1 told him one of the things he hates is being asked to do anything i.e load the dishwasher, empty the washing machine etc. This man has told him he doesn't see why he should be asked to do anything as he is a child and when he was a child his mother did everything for him. DS1 now refuses to do anything I ask him to do not even pick up a cup after himself. He has spent the entire morning screaming at me that Blake said he didn't have to help so he won't.

How the hell is this helping solve he problem?

This Blake has also told me i have to let him go to the supermarket alone, go to a friends and stay as long as he wants and come home alone whatever time he wants..along with numerous other things.

Oh and he wants to enrol me on a programme.....to stop me drinking coffee FFS. He has also told me i need to let him decide the punishments, pay him daily if i want him to do things, as well as give him £10 per month for pocket money.

and that if Zachary falls over i am to leave him to it and if he is hurt he will come to me and if it is serious then deal with him otherwise send him on his way.

I am so so fucking stressed, karl has been on one for 3 hours now and i am in tears i wish i could solve this.

sorry for the me me me posting

WhiteWineAndJaffaCakes · 12/08/2009 13:03

Dal - glad the ms is easing up.

LES - I'm really surprised at the child psychologist - I've no experience of these things but that sounds really terrible advice. Is there anybody you can speak to about it - maybe get somebody else instead? Are you getting support from your dp?

Dalrymps · 12/08/2009 13:20

Hmm yeah LES, that advice sounds a bit strange. I was always of the impression that getting your kids to help out with chores gets them ready for being grown up and teaches them how to be independant. I used to do all sorts of jobs when I was younger, yeah I got pocket money but only weekly, not daily!

Could you ask if there is another psycholoist he can be refered to?

FloriaTosca · 12/08/2009 15:50

Just what sort of psychologist is he? Never had to live with a child obviously! Pay him to do things? Just what does that teach him about life and society apart from extortion?

Personally I'd say fine... so long as I get to deduct 10p for every item I have to pick up/wash/iron/put away for him and 20p for every meal I cook for him, and £1.00 for every time I take him to a friends or the park.
What is leaving Zac supposed to teach him? That his big brother is allowed to be a child but he isnt allowed to be a baby?
The man sounds like a charlatan to me...Demand someone either explain just what these actions are supposed to do to help your relationship with your children or demand someone who actually knows what they are doing.

My nephew starts senior school in Sept., he is also being stroppy and unhelpful atm, but he has been told by his grandfather that unless he gets his finger out and helps his mother the badminton lessons grandad pays for and takes him to will cease immediately. Dh best friends dd is the same age and similarly surly, she has had a floor full of toys including her nintendo swept into a black bin bag and thrown out for not tidying up when told (she was given 2 warnings that this would happen)
When I was 6 or 7 I stated that I was "sick of being treated like a Cinderella in this house" after being asked to help clear the table...my mothers reaction was to explain that people who lived together had to work together or either things didn't get done at all(dinner/clothes/comfort) or one person got to do everything alone which wasnt fair and that if I complained again she would show me what being treated like a Cinderella was actually like...I did...I discovered the joys of cleaning floors on hands and knees, of scrubbing toilets, of scrubbing potatoes and washboarding dirty socks, for a whole week I wasnt given enough time to play and make any mess myself...I never complained again....
dhs mates dd has started obeying when told to clear her mess ...
nephew has started helping his mum...

Consequences...thats what they need to learn... that helping is rewarded with praise and gratitude... but that not complying with the society they live in has an equally negative reaction.... Not that they should be paid for every little thing they do that isn't fun.

Dalrymps · 12/08/2009 21:42

Here here Floria . It j=must be so frustrating for this 'psychologist' to be effectively making things worse by misreading the situation for you LES.

I would demand an explanation/someone else before he makes it any worse!

Dalrymps · 12/08/2009 21:59

Ooh I just saw a message on fb from Heinz saying 'it's happening' on her status. Think she might be in labour eek!
