Not really a bad day but full on, no time to sit down kind of day. We went swimming (henry in creche) and Ollie jumped in the pool with his towel still in his hand so only 1 towel to dry both of us. Henry had a great time in creche and was walking with the push along thing (hurrah!) and playing with the sand try when we picked him up. Had computer time with Ollie then back home and building cars from birthday. Then walk to Homebase with a sulking 5 year old who was more like a 13 year old (needing to get out) and then park to run off some steam.

It's my study night and I'm knackered!!!

NC - I don't know how you do it everyday, you are certainly a golden mummy!

hey Inzi, jane sounds like she's having fun!!

i too give Eren around the same amount of milk to drink and i'll keep doing it until he doesn;t want it any more i guess.

re crunchy foods... as long as she can chew them, i'd give it a go. I think after 1 yrs old they can try pretty much everything, unless there is a history of food allergy in the family i guess.

Eren will try anything once, if he likes it he'll keep going

i'm exactly like you. Eren went beyond 'gagging' once on a fresh tomato.... he almost choked to death because the skin stuck to the back of his throat and he didn't deal with it very well. Since then i have been sooooo cautious with him that i was holding him back.

Now we're both fine with it !!

He's fine with crunchy food... he usually sucks, crunches the juice out of it and hands it to me to finish off

Sometimes i really wish i did BLW from the start because of this but he eats almost anything so i'm happy with the way its all worked out.

He ate all of his own lunch today (ravioli) then came over to finish off mine (jacket pot and beans)

He just doesn't eat meat very well on his own. How do you get Jane to eat meat...??

Hi all, just got home from college, really am pooped, was meant to finish exam at 5pm, my lesson starts at 10, but didn't begin till after lunch, tutor said we could finish it after the easter hols but i'm away then so carried on until nearly 7-rushed like mad to do it though, and had to get Rich to come and have Shannon because the nursery shuts at 5, anyway its done now.

have the benefits ppl coming tomorrow, can.t wait for it to be over!

inzi-haha she sounds funny, not funny when Shannon does it though! It takes 3 times longer to do anything with the little imps around doesn't it.

i give shannon everything, sometimes she loves tomatoes, sometimes she wont touch them, she eats chicken and meat just in chunks, and has 2 or bottles a day, 6 0r 7 oz but i'm trying to cut her down a bit, still bottles though

hi to everyone else, will try and get back on when i get some tea, am starving xxxx

hello everyone
hope you are all ok. missing my boy this week cos I am working extra hours, so not seeing him doing anything funny . Although i did go upstairs to bed the other night and found him fast asleep on the landing curled up by the stairgate. I though i could hear him snoring loudly as I went up the stairs.
He hasn't learnt to dress or undress himself yet - obv not going to be a naturist like Jane!
He has three cups of milk a day - probably drinks about 15oz in total I would guess. Think it depends how thirsty he is. Also drinks about two or three small cups of water, and has three meals and two snacks a day. He eats almost anything we give him, although it does depend on what mood he's in, either as finger foods or with a fork and spoon - he definitely eats more than he spills down himself now!

Hey all,

milk wise Dareh won't drink the stuff - I have offered cows milk but he just gives it back to me. He is still on the boob - which he now calls boo boo. Feeds a few times a day - depends on what is going on really. Some days he eats lots of foods and other days he eats nothing but cheese. Or skips - he never says no to skips!

Too tired to write more - bed!

Anya has shifted almost exactly one hour with the clocks going forward. Mornings are lovely - no more 5:30am starts. Evenings are a pain though as she's not going to bed until 8pm which feels really late!

Muppet - well done Ollie at swimming. Newbury festival sounds lovely with lots of good stuff for the kids.

NC - glad you got exam out the way. Good luck with visit tomorrow.

Inzi - Anya still has cows milk morning and evening. Not sure if it has to stop - nothing wrong with adults having milk at breakfast and before bed surely? Although Anya still uses bottles for milk. Don't think there is anything they shouldn't eat now apart from peanuts. Lol at Jane's antics - I dread Anya being able to take her clothes off as she can then actually take her own nappy off .

Mine - Anya always leaves the meat until she's eaten everything else. Sometimes if I leave it long enough she eventually eats it but not always. She gets plenty of protein from cheese though so not worried.

We bought Anya a little armchair that she can get in/out of by herself - it arrived yesterday. She loves it - she switches the tv on and if it's on BabyTV channel she gets in her chair and slumps there watching it. She looks like a Jim Royle mini-me. (Bathtime, my ar*e ).

WWAJC-pmsl at Anya and her arm chair, so cute, you'll have to get a pic on facebook or your profile

I've been trying to get Shannon to bed at the usual time but of course she isn't really sleepy so hasn't been impresed, but by 7.30, i am so ready for me time.

She is always stripped by the time i get her out of her cot in a morning, she singss to herself while she gets her pjs or sleepsuit off then starts shouting to get out for her bot bot, She can get her socks and trousers on herself now, and puts her coat on back to front oh and she's got a very cheeky grin atm and has a really dirty laugh, especially when she's been wicked, like picking her nose and then trying to stick her finger in my mouth which she finds highly amusing She also thinks it funny to poke you in the chest and say 'hey you!'

i've been drafting my CV tonight, has anyone got any experience in checking them that could maybe look it over for me? I hate doing them bloody personal statements.

Right i'm off to bed now, nighty night all

I am offering Ben most things now, although he will only eat his favourites. He still will not touch fruit unless it is a smoothie and he isn't a fan of cake or sandwiches which is a pain as I have to do him hot food all the time He loves wotsits and hula hoops and chocolate and biscuits Luckily he will eat all meat and now likes cheese and loves scrambled egg.

He eats all his food himself now and is very good at it, hardly making any mess, apart from when he just wants to make a mess

Whilst we were away my MiL said she gave him his morning milk in a cup which he drank no problems, I have tried every morning since (10 days) and he will not drink it in a cup. I haven't reverted back to a bottle so it looks like the morning bottle has now gone. Sam was just the same. He still has his bedtime bottle of around 9oz so I will just keep giving him that till he doesn't want it anymore. Sam stopped having the milk himself at about the age of two.

He slept till 7.30 this morning which was great, bedtimes have moved to around 7.45 though, need to sort that out I had my best nights sleep in ages, 10pm till 3.20 and then till 6.30 when DH woke me up asking if Sam was downstairs [not happy] then dozed till 7.30. Feel like crap though, why is it the more you sleep, the worse you feel?

Ben is stood right up at the TV at the moment watching Peppa Pig and snorting

He is not dressing/undressing himself as of yet but he will bring his coat and shoes to me when he wants to go outside, he loves it outside on his trike. Will post a little vid soon, he is a demon on it

Right, better go and get them brekkie

PMSL at Shannon dressing and undressing herself!! She's sounds very mischievous!

Eren doesn't dress himself at all, but can manage to undress himself

He is sooo laid back its unbelievable. He is quite happy to watch all the other kids play rather than get stuck in. Eventually he'll join in, but he always goes for the puzzles rather than climb on things... i sometimes think he should have been a girl

Its a beautiful sunny day today, and my mum is finally back from a very long holiday. Goodness i missed her.

Be back later

Hi Ladies,

I am so sorry I have been gone lol.

Have loved reading all lo's antics!!

Zachary can't dress himself but can underss and take his nappy off. he also feeds himself now refuses to sit in his highchair so sits on a dining chair well kneels on it.

Had a few days of panicking when I was listening to him speak as certain things are not what they should be for instance
Barney the Dinosaur - Da Da
Bottle - Borrle
Dinner - Ninner
Juice - Nuice
Blanket - Banket

But then he says a lot that is right. At the moment EVERYTHING is a woof woof even a horse lol. Doesn't matter how much I sit and tell him animal noises Woof woof is his favourite.

He also puts his shoes on and everyone elses for that matter and loves taking our socks off lol. He is now sleeping perfectly in the night in his bed no more getting up to get in mine. Although the other week he was in mine as he was poorly. He is a climber!!! I dunno what to do with him next we have ended up blocking everything we think he can climb on but he still finds something lol. Also he is still have loads of milk during the day as he loves his milk and won't eat until early evening. He will nibble during the day on toast and beans but of an evening he eats us out of house and home. Have tried not giving him milk and all he does is cry for it open the fridge get his bottle and ask for a "Borrle Mummy" so I am letting him lead the way....

We have been flat hunting for weeks now and THINK we have finally found the perfect one. It is a 2 dbl bedroom place with ensuite brand new build not even finished yet. Has a garden as well which still needs to be finished. All we need to do is put £250 down and then it is ours!!!!
other than that not much been happening, Karl got into his secondary school which is great. The school he got into is owned by Lord Harris who also owns the Carpet Right chain.

Hope everyone is ok and all lo's are doing well. will be back later.

Inzi-18 teeth!!!!!!!?? I'm chuffed because Shannons 8th one is coming through lol, glad the liter life plan is working for you, i gave up on the juicing, i wasn't losing weight and i was starving so just trying to eat healthier( and also just bought a couple of pairs of bigger jeans)

Hi LES, great news about the flat, really hope you get it!

Had quite a busy day, the woman came round from the benefits, and took a statement, i told her the truth about everything and she seemed fine about it, said he's able to stay for a couple of days, we're ok to go on holiday etc just can't be seen to be living together, which is fine cause we're not! So feel quite relieved about that. Then i was going to go for a bike ride with Shannon but couldn't get the bike out, so ended up cleaning the shed out, then, i could hear meowing, and my cat hasn't been in today, realised she was locked in someones garage, so had to ring the council to get in touch with the tennant, but they couldn't so said they'd keep trying, so took Shannon to Asda on bike (about 3 miles there and back) and when we got back the cat was waiting for us, so someone must have gone and let her out, and i got a bit of exercise!

Shannon is in her buggy, meant to be napping but screaming so i better go for a walk with her to get her to sleep, hope everyones having a nice day! xxx

Hi All!
Not got long as I really must take the dog out before schools finish(it takes 2x as long when all the kids stop to pet him)

We dont have too much problem with any foods..possibly because of blw...more likely because he takes after me and loves
food too much to part with it
Inzi well done on the weight loss...and good luck with salads, Alex loves tomato and cucumber and antipasti and cheese and raw carrots but wont have lettuce of any sort.
Cant say much about milk as still bfing...a lot...but he does get a cup of cowsmilk with breakfast and bottles of water to help himself to during the day and night (unsupervised he uses cups for water play
favourite foods at the moment are garlic prawns, buttered potato cakes and custard

Our latest long story is I that while walking the dog I 'rescued' a quinny buzz from under some undergrowth in a remote spot, it was in pieces and had become populated with various forms of fauna and flora but was complete and working ...I mentioned it to the community police officer and he told me that if I could use it, to keep it as the origional owner would have claimed on insurance and replaced it long ago (though I think he was trying to avoid extra paper work). The frame has cleaned up brilliantly and dh has worked on the brakes and unfolding system to get them working smoothly again..the seat base has cleaned up perfectly and the straps are fine now after a soak in bleach but the seat cover after being soaked in a biological powder to remove the algae and seedlings (and woodlice) is looking water stained and still not very clean so I think I'll be going on ebay to buy a replacement but I can't believe how lucky I have been to find it..the bebecar adventure we have is very comfy for Alex but sooo heavy especially now he is bigger and the quinny zapp though great round the shops is not up to our dog walking marathons ...this buzz is going to be just the ticket!...now, as I'm on a lucky streak, where are my lottery numbers for tonight?

Hi all!

Inzi ? We just give Henry everything now and he lets us know what he does/doesn?t like. He loves ALL fruit and is very into carrot (does crunch, chew and swallow) cucumber and tomato but still looks at lettuce like is a thing from an alien planet Re the milk Henry has dropped his intake quite dramatically and only has around 10ozs a day now (happened in the last couple of weeks, I keep trying but he just pushes it away) He does have watered down juice now for a drink and really prefers that so I think at least he?s drinking something and he can get the calcium elsewhere.

NC ? Well done on the exam!!!! Good news about the nice benefits lady xx

Strawberry ? Henry can?t dress/undress himself either, Ollie could at this age so it shows they?re all different (says she who panics about the non-walking child )

LLL ? Am glad you are getting some more sleep and are hoping you?ll be feeling the benefit of it soon!

Tles ? Am keeping my fingers crossed that you get the flat xx Great news on Karls? school! How is it that Lord Harris owns the school?

Floria ? we had the smallest quinny for ollie and it was great, s much lighter glad you got one for free, a fab find. All we have round here is old trainers and bras don?t people notice they?re are missing their bra?!?!?!

Took Ollie swimming today whilst Henry was in the crèche. He didn?t jump in with his towel this time! We then all had lunch outside which was lovely and made us all feel summery. Henry is at nursery tomorrow so we?re off to the local grand house with large park to meet up with school mates so that should be great as I do find I?m torn in playgrounds as I totally have to concentrate on Henry rather than Ollie.

Saw my neighbour today who is a science teacher and she was off work due to backache and tummy pains (she?s a week behind me) and found out that one of her students had thrown a stool across the classroom that stopped juts before her desk. She isn?t going to teach them again but really, I find what?s going on in the local school incredibly scarey. This was a girl who threw a stool in the direction of a prgt teacher. She also told me of 2 pupils who spent a whole lesson (not hers) taking apart the keyboard of a laptop and then putting it back together with all the numbers in the wrong place and the letter spelling out swear words? Yes it?s kinda funny but it really does show their mentality.

Am off to finish my latest blanket, it?s made from cotton and mil protein (??) Crochet, where are you when there are matters of yarn to be discussed? (AM really hoping you?re on the mend though xx)

Love to all

(Alice - am hoping we?ll be celebrating your completion on the house soon xxx)

Muppet,
Lord Harris took over the schools that were "trouble" or failing, sacked the teachers employed all new ones and now the school is quite good and improving. If he decides tomorrow that the school is not running right then he can walk in and close it while he employs new staff.

Only thing is the uniform is sooooooooo expensive
The blazer alone is £40

Needcoffee glad your visit went OK today - that must be a weight off your mind. Not heard from Choc for a little while but last I heard she was doing OK and I think R was sleeping better too. We were going to try and meet up one weekend (she is back at work fulltime so that makes the week tricky) but things have been pretty busy of late - I'll def give her a shouit once things calm down a little!

Inzi I think all that salad type stuff is fine. The only thing they can't have at this age is whole nuts because of the choking risk - thats not until 5 years so a little way to go! About milk - nothing wrong with giving her this. Sam still has a cup before his bath and he is 3.

WWAJC msl at Anya in her chair!!! We have a chair for Sam from Ikea only Adam has appropriated it and sits in a similar slouchy pose to what you describe! We'll have to get him his own once we're in our new house...

Floria nice one on the Quinny Buzz!!! we have that and its fab. Sure you will be able to find a new cover on ebay - even if you have to buy a new one from Quinny it will be a lot cheaper that the pushchair!

LES great about the new flat - sounds fab!

Muppet about your neighbour getting a stoll thrown at her. thats awful.

Strawberry sorry to hear you have been working so hard and missing your lo - no fun at all so hope things calm down soon...

Hello to all the rest of you lovely ladies - sounds like life is pretty good for most of you at the mo! Sorry but I have done my usual of not now remembering who I haven't responded to individually but hope you're all OK.

We have fab news!!!! Exchanged on the sale of our house yesterday for completion on 28th April! Absolutely delighted!! A few minor things to sort before we can exchange on our new one but that will all go fine now so no worries. Now we just have a few weeks to find a place to rent for a couple of months and we're sorted!

Muppet at the stool being thrown at your neighbour...the lack of discipline and respect in schools today is truly frightening.

NC; what a relief that the visitation went well...now you can get some sleep!

WWAJC; Alex does exactly the same in his bean bag chair..just like his father!!!

Les;good luck with the flat and congrats on getting Karl into what sounds like a very good school...do they have a 2nd hand sale of blazers and other expensive bits of uniform? Our (slightly posh) grammar school did...it worked especially well for the first couple of years as they do tend to grow like weeds at that age and get no wear out of their kit.

Strawberry ; I hope things settle down soon

Stefka; hope things are easing a bit for you too and you aren't too exhausted

Alice..fab news about exchanging contracts so soon...so exciting! Glad to hear choc is getting more sleep at last...please send our love when you get to see her and tell her she is missed.

well Alex crashed at 6.45 tonight...unheard of! He never goes down before 8 and last night it was nearly 10 before I could settle him...methinks it bodes ill for a good nights sleep

infact he is stirring already
