Hi everyone, have you forgotten me?! Hope not. Anyway I have been more or less keeping up with all your chitchat, just never get a chance to post. It's Choc by the way still under my new name, in case you've forgotten..
Hi Eva. I'm an imposter here too as my DD was born in November (late) and the key thing to know about us is we've never really ggot the hang of the sleeping thing. Welcome - you'll need more time than I have to keep up with this lot of chatterboxes though!
OK, it'd take me forever to comment on everything for everyone, so I'll be brief.
Mine, that dinner sounds delicious!
Dal/Muppet, sorry about your parent problems. Muppet, on the Henry walking thing, a friend of mine's little girl was v sslow to walk and wouldnt even take a couple oof steps unaided like R used to do before she began to walk. Her mum was getting fed up - then about a week before she turned 18 months, she just pulled herself up and literally walked across the room on her own. It was as though she had spent all that time working out how to do it and deciding if it was worth bothering. Bet Henry does likewise. WWJC, what a pain about the boss. Financial work must be a mare in the current xlimate. How's the sleep, Floria? Enjoy the hotel - and happy belated birthday! Hi Stefka, sorry work is exhausting, try to rest during the holiday and snuggle up with Dareh. Crochet, hope you're having a good holiday too. NeedCoffee, how's it going with hthe lovely Rich? Inzi, congrats on the mega weight loss! LLL - are you baking anything lovely for Easter? LES, hope you're okay. Strawberry, self-weaning going on here too - see below.
OK... news from here, well, sleep improved a bit for about three days a while ago, but it wasn't systematic. Overall in general it is better - she's up an average of 3 times a night, twice would be a good night, a bad night would be every hour as she used to. She gets up at 5 every day. Oh and she is self weaning/has self weaned I think, which is very strange - she just doesnt seem to want milk. And this is probably a good thing as it's her choice, but bf has been so easy and snuggly for me that it feels odd too. Anyway I never thought would bf this long and I am glad that she has made her own decision to stop - I am a wuss and wouldnt have made it for her. Only problem is she was only having one feed a day anyway (in the evening) and without that she is just not at all sleepy (I didnt feed her to sleep, but it did used to wind her down gently). She wont feed from me anymore but equally wont drink milk out of a cup. Is that okay do you think? She has milk in cereal every morning and has plenty of yoghurt, cheese, fromage frais, etc.
I am suffering from a killer sore throat and desperately interrupted night, but otherwise looking forward to Easter and chocolate. Happy Easter everyone!
