Hi Inzi
Well done on the weight loss to both you and Dh..wish I could summon up the will power
I cant stop as I'm teaching in 2 mins...Dh is home this week which is why I havent had time to post as often as usual..he is now going to babysit Alex in the pub...oh the joy of a child who can say "hmmm, beer" with more passion than Homer Simpson

muppetgirl · 08/05/2009 14:21

hiya inzi and floria!!

just revising (get me!) and i think i'm actually getting somewhere.

bought the stuff for Ollie and I to cook for Daddy tonight -we are letting Ollie stay up on a fri and have a 'grown up' meal with mummy and daddy which he is thoroughly enjoying. He also gets to help peel and chop and cook in general so he's loving it.

Radio 1's One big weekend here this weekend so all is already manic. Not going to attempt much over the weekend as I think the traffic will be chaos!

My dad is over tomorrow with his girlfriend and they are going to take the boys to the park Ollie's 5 and he's never offered to do that before. It's funny how wanting to impress a woman can change a man (or am i just being a cynic )

what's everyone else doing this weekend?

(dal -are you okay? Not heard from you for a while...)

Hey ladies, sorry haven't posted for a while. Have been reading but got behind and haven't been able to find time to catch up properly.

Have had a new idea this week, i'm thinking of setting up my own ironing service. Was going to do it in the evenings for extra money. Started a thread on it to get some ideas too. What do you ladies think?

Muppet- Hope Tobias stays put for now.

Inzi - It's been a bit of a cebeebies day here too . I just feel so tired today though for no apparent reason. I had broken sleep cause the dog wanted out at 5am but apart from that slept fine.

Dh is on holiday for a week as of 4.30pm so he says I can have a rest when he gets home

Floria - Lol at mmm beer

I can't remember who was asking about terrible 2's but YES! I think Dylan will be off to hollywood soon with some of the dramatic tantrums we've had . The latest one was casue he couldn't bring the sweeping brush in to the lounge.

Sorry if i've missed anything important, thought it was better to post something than nothing at all...

LisaLessLumpy · 08/05/2009 18:19

Hi everyone.

Inzi - fantastic on the weightloss, bet you feel like a new woman

NC - be careful with that laptop! glad you and Richie are back on track.

Muppet - well done on your studying, and what lovely things to be able to say about your child

I have bee laid up since tuesday afternoon, whilst out and about and carrying Ben I tripped over, whilst trying to stay upright and NOT drop Ben, I landed awkwardly on my left foot, Oh my god it was agony, I really thought I had broken it. I spent wednesday morning in A&E (never had the pleasure before) but luckily its just bruised, but I can't walk on it very well. Bit of a nightmare with the boys, but at least its not broken.

Tantrums, my oh my we do have those, over the slightest things too, and he is also on the naughty mat a fair bit too, although it doesn't seem to phase him much. He is still incredibly cheeky and makes me laugh a lot too.

Stefka · 08/05/2009 18:34

Not been able to get on the computer as DH has an assignment to finish. Really wish we had two as I am lost without it! Made me realise that I have no bloody friends where I live so I am feeling all crap and really lonley right now. Was just saying to DH that was in the mood to go out for a few cocktails or glasses of wine with some good girl friends and when he said why don't you all I could say was 'With who?'. So often I wish I had never moved back to Scotland even though I know it is better for us to bring Dareh up where we can afford a place to live.

Dalrymps · 08/05/2009 19:46

LLL - Sorry you've been laid up with your foot. Glad it's not broken though. Hope it heals quickly.

Stefka - I know exactly what you mean, we moved from Newcastle up to Berwick and the only people I know here is pils and bil and sil. I haven't been out for a cocktail in ages! I used to go out a lot when I was at uni. I don't really feel like it any more cause I just prefer to stay in but sometimes I do get the urge to have some girly time. My sils are lovely but they're both down south... Maybe we should meet up in Edinburgh one day and go shopping or something?

Stefka · 08/05/2009 19:49

That sounds fab! We can be ladies who lunch!

Dalrymps · 08/05/2009 19:51

Sure can! I've only been up there once, keep meaning to go back soon. How far is it from you? I think it's about 45 mins on the train from here... Inzi could come too!

Stefka · 08/05/2009 20:18

30 mins for me - I didn't know you were so close! I know what you mean about just wanting to say in. I do most of the time too but sometimes I just miss female company. DH is my best friend in lots of ways but it is not the same.

Dalrymps · 08/05/2009 20:50

Yeah I know what you mean, i'd gladly spend most of my time with dh but it is nice to have female company sometimes. I go for walks with sil during the week but just across the bridge to town and back. I had quite a nice little bunch of lady friends in Newc from uni but when we graduated they all moved back home and we lost touch, now I just hear from them now and again and have only seen them a few times over the last 5 years... (suddenly realises that it's 5 years since she was at uni and almost faints with shock at how old she feels )

I'll have to look in to train prices, I would drive but I'd panick about getting lost and parking etc.

Hi stefka, Dal, Inzi, FT and everyone else.

Just got in from shopping and going to watch a late DVD, should go to bed really but meant to spending quality time together!

NeedCoffee · 08/05/2009 22:38

Inzi, may do Mentioned it to Rich and he said, 'oh why don't you go, you could do this, and that and bla bla bla, Edingbrugh is fab etc etc and I was like-'they're only going for coffee!'

he said 'Oh' And that shut him up.

Dalrymps · 08/05/2009 22:42
