Dal; what a brilliant idea! That would make cleaning up a lot easier. Shame the garden isn't much to look at atm... we have put weedkiller down in preparation for total garden makeover planned for next week..(ground force never took on such a big task!) so right now it looks brown and arid like the savanna...and it looks like we are going to get rain now
Alex seems(like yesterday) to have stopped throwing up for the moment..poor love is back in nappies because despite using the toilet to great effect he keeps farting and following through...I've got a bottle with dioralyte and a cup of water to hand and he has free access to bm but I'm keeping him off solids today.

...oops mil just arrived..back later

AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!

Just spent over half an hour catching up and typing a massive long post to each and everyone of you and the fucking computer crashed!

At work at the moment and was taking advantage of a quiet spell to catch up but have to go now so no chance to do it again and can't even bloody remember all your news!

I'll try again later if I get the chance... In the meantime please know I am thinking of you all and missing our chats!

Still no broadband at home so at the mo only opportunity to catch up is at work so I will do my best.

Move went fine. Only problem now is stairgates that won't fit which is a little stressful but have ordered the spare parts we need to extend them so touch wood that will be sorted next week then I won't get too many more gray hairs... Adam is not bad on stairs but not good enough for me to chill about living in a 3 story town house with no stairgates!

Anyway catch you later I hope....

CrochetDiva · 02/05/2009 21:32

just long enough to catch up before I collapse into bed: ((((((((hugs))))))))to you, FT - the d&v thing is just horrible ... hope it passes soon!

inzi - loved the link!

Not much news here - my sister is staying with us this weekend, and is dying to catch up with all her emails, so I'm going to get off here and let her play!

love to all - catch up again soon!

dear me! we are quiet ... what on earth has happened!?!
not a lot to report apart from a return to health for everyone here at Tosca Towers a return to a fully breastfed Alex (though he did eat some ceral this morning so perhaps it is only a blip)and an over adventuous monkey who climbed onto the piano again!
...other than that, and a contretemps with my mother that we are both studiously ignoring so neither of us says something truly unforgivable...not a lot going on really..
..we started work on the garden but got rained off..
..off out to dinner then on see "we will rock you" tonight (my birthday pressie from dh that I have been looking forward to for 6 weeks)

Oh and anyone remember "Iris66"? She was on our antenatal thread and had her ds2 in sept 07...well she is on the

alicet · 05/05/2009 11:39

Another quick hello from me from work too! Glad you haven't been so chatty this time as easier to catch up

Crochet hope your sis is doing OK - must have been v scary for her. Any joy with insurance companies?

Floria glad that Alex is better!

Well no news from talktalk as to when we'll get internet access at home. No landline yet so thats not a great start! oh well I'll try and keep on top of all of your news on here from work as and when...

We're settling in fine with our new house. Nothing very exciting to report! Only thing is that Adam's sleep has gone to pot a bit - he is waking earlier and earlier and dh and I are shattered and a bit fed up with it really. 4.55 this am ffs! Touch wood it will improve soon....

Stefka · 05/05/2009 21:24

Hello - thought I would have loads to catch up on but you've been quiet!

Glad you are feeling better Floria, mum's have no time to be ill!

Talk talk have a bad reputation for being a bit rubbish. I am with them mind you and they have been ok. I hope that it gets sorted soon for you.

My disclosure has finally turned up and I start Monday. So scared!

Dareh's game today was shouting in the washing machine to hear the echo. Very funny.

NeedCoffee · 05/05/2009 22:02

Huh, as if none of you even missed me!

have read through but haven't got much chance of replying to all as my laptop has given up, due to the demon child kicking it off the chair arm a few months ago, and so the motherboard or something is cracked and i'm having to try and claim on my insurance(again) so i am using the laptop that i burnt on top of the oven last Jan, but darent use it for long as it has a big hole in the bottom and only works when plugged in, so i am risking my life coming on to say hello!

Not much to report from here, Shannon is a monster and Leonie is being a little sod at the moment but that probably has to do with her idiot Dad letting her stasy up till gone midnight on weekends again grrrr. Oh and she had been wheezing last week so i took her to the GPs and he thinks she has asthma, possibly caused by the bedroom on holiday, with them being so damp have to do a peak flow meter for 2 weeks, then take her back in, am hoping its a virus and not asthma.

FT-hope Alex is better now.
Alice-glad move went well-are you actually in your new house now or rented?
Inzi-Well Done on weight loss, yeah me and Rich had a another bit of a rough time but things seem not too bad at the moment
Crochet-sorry to hear about M being poorly I hope your sister is doinng ok and they caught who ever did it.
LES will let you know when i can make it.
Stefka-who cares ywhat sil thinks, you do what you like

going to have to go as i daren't leave it plugged in too much, will get back on when i can, love to all xxxxxx

NeedCoffee · 05/05/2009 22:05

stefka great news for Mon xx

just read my last post-I meant i haven't got much chance of replying to everyone as i haven't been on for a week as my laptop gave up!

muppetgirl · 05/05/2009 22:19

HI all, am around but haven't been on the web for a while.

Will catch up tomorrow as is late now

love to all

xxxx

Dalrymps · 06/05/2009 09:44

Hi everyone, what muppet said

Back soon x

FloriaTosca · 06/05/2009 12:19

NeedCoffee; of course you are missed! Oops with the laptop(Alex has done the same to ours several times but we have been lucky..it thankfully doesnt seem to want to die)...I hope the insurance pays out soon...but much as we miss you please dont risk your life with the cooked oneSorry to hear that you and R have had another rough patch but I always look on these things with the attitude of "that which does not kill you makes you stronger" and hope that is the case now that the two of you are back together.
Stefka: fab your disclosure came through at last...fingers crossed for you that Mon goes brilliantly (just think of the pay check at the end of the month!)lol at D shouting in the washer!!!!
Muppet, Dal et al...look forward to hearing from you soon

FloriaTosca · 06/05/2009 12:24

oh and Alicet; sorry you are not on line...have to confess we had a rubbish time with talk talk but hope they raise their game for you...and sympathy on Adams early raising ..could it be something to do with light/birdsong? whatever the cause I hope it improves soon

WhiteWineAndJaffaCakes · 06/05/2009 21:13

Crochet - at your sister's attack, that's awful. And at the treatment from the insurance company. At least she wasn't injured though. Glad Mairwen's asthma is under control. Hope her eczema does the same soon - glad it's not hampering her style!

FT - at Alex going to the potty with his pants still on. at him being poorly though - glad he's better now.

Stefka - how was your weekend with sil? Good luck with your new job on Mon.

Inzi - glad you've got a new wardrobe now, how exciting!

Alice - glad the move went well.

NC - lol at you with your burnt laptop. Don't electrocute yourself!

We had a lovely time away even though Anya had a streaming cold and sneezed/coughed her way through the weekend. The christening went really well - lots of lo's there. Anya had a great time but wasn't convinced about staying in hotel rooms - she kept standing in the doorway wailing, presumeably because it wasn't our living room behind the door . But she slept really well, though we did a lot to tire her out each day.

Had a meeting with my boss today - survived another month . He was actually quite positive and they are certainly looking at me being there long term - but he did make quite loud noises about salary cuts for advisers who are below targets (i.e. me). No more news from agencies but I'm going to get me CV circulated a bit more this weekend.

WhiteWineAndJaffaCakes · 07/05/2009 18:07

Inzi - with you on the terrible 2's. Anya's not throwing herself on the floor but she'll cry/scream if she doesn't get her own way and she can whinge for England. I'm getting better at calming her down without giving in to her though, but constant whinging drives dh insane. I'm hoping it will be better when she can talk and express herself a bit better .

NeedCoffee · 07/05/2009 18:23

With you on the 'Drama Queen throwing on the floor, my whole life is over because i can't have a 4th biscuit' hysterics wwajc and Inzi

muppetgirl · 07/05/2009 18:33

wiht you all on the terrible 2's Ollie was a dream but Henry is a complete nightmare. We have;

banging head on the floor when we don;t get our own way

banging head on the back of the car seat when we don't get our own way

Biting/hitting when we don't get our own way

saying 'NO!!!!!!' when we don't get our own way

anyone see a pattern?

on the plus side I have just passed my 5th of 6 ou assignments and have 80.5% as an average so am pleased with myslef. Revising is going okay and are making initial notes ready to condense

but

had midwife app yesterday and I'm measuring 33 weeks (I was 30 + 3) and Tobias' head is 3/5 engaged so that's the reason why I'm needing the loo all the time...
lets' just hope he stays a little longer

Inzi -fan bews on the weight lose, you'll have a lo on the way soon I'm sure

WWAJC - great news on your review, must be a relief to be able to look for a job not totally under pressure x

Hi Floria, Dal, tles, needcoffe, stefka and all the rest.

ALice - hope you get online soon but glad the move went well xxxxx

muppetgirl · 07/05/2009 19:14

just posted this on a 'describe your five year old boy here...' thread

FULL of energy, from the minute he wakes till his last sleepy snort

Smelly but in a lovely 'I-can-wipe-my-own-bum' way

Asks so many questions I'm surprised my ears aren't bleeding...

Unconstrained -in all that he does. He asks whatever questions he wants, utters his observations to anyone who'll listen, gives a very direct and straight opinion but loves in a very fierce but honest way that I hope he never loses.

heart-hurtingly fantastic...
yep that too

funny, wonderful and above all beautiful. In all sense of the word.

TheLadyEvenstar · 07/05/2009 20:21

oh god am I with you all on the terrible twos. Karl missed these out totally and was a dream!!!

Zachary on the other hand OMG

shout??? yes he does,

throw himself on the floor in a dive that any referee would spot a mile off,

NO is his fav word along with get it, have it, mine, now, out my brother (pronounced Bruvver) all of these can produce an act any producer would be proud of!!!

he is also nowhere near ready to potty train whereas Karl was dry by now day and night. So I feel a bit rubbish about that, more on my part than his iyswim?

On another point the situation with the landlord is kind of sorted. He refuses to speak to me at all YIPPPPEEEEEE and will only deal with Grant, he told Grant that this is because I scare him with the things i know hmmmmm ok i figure he means the legal jargon I knw about private landlords and their responsibilty. So the end result is we are staying here until October when our tenancy is up.

Anyway horror monster from mars is having a bad night and won't settle so i am off to hold him
