Glad George had a good day, belated birthday wishes to him, Ruby and Austen.

D shared his Easter egg with dp and myself - Conor still has one (it was bought by dp's mum!) so we'll eat that another time.

CaptainDippy · 13/04/2009 07:42

Awwww, G's special day sounds super Leaky @ cliquey May 07 peeps!! Bizarre. Oh well, stick with us .... another April babe hey!!?

Mad day yesterday ..... Church, then picnic at the mini railway way with Easter bunny, back to outlaws foe tea and bath and PJs; back home for bed. I then went out delivering some of P's Birthday invites and ended up at a friends munching McD's til 10pm

CaptainDippy · 13/04/2009 07:44

Hapy Birthday to Joe, Erin, Alice, Harry & Maia!!

Busy day today!

liath · 13/04/2009 07:52

Happy birthday to today's babies.

Had a lovely easter weekend, fab weather so had a bbq saturday then went to roll eggs down Arthur's Seat yesterday. Off to my mum's today.

CaptainDippy · 13/04/2009 07:56

Hey Liath!

liath · 13/04/2009 08:01

Hi CD! All set for P's birthday?

runnyhabbit · 13/04/2009 10:08

Morning!

We had a fab time at the Thomas Steam Railway. The children were able to "help" fill Percys boiler with water, and got an engineers certificate from the Fat Controller

Lovely day yesterday just pottering around, until W feel head over heels, resulting in lots of tears, and bruised/grazed nose, and a cracking bump on his forehead. Mind you, chocolate seemed to stop the tears

The weather is lovely here again. Not sure if we'll go anywhere - sometimes it's nice just being at home

Northernlurker · 13/04/2009 10:13

Eddas - just seen your thread and it may be a bit late but I would be happy to help. Don't have CAT though.

Leaky - the May 09 lot sound awful! You should join the April bunch, they seem very friendly - I butt in now and again (very long story) and they are postively welcoming and I'm not even expecting!

Dh and big girls at church helping to set up for holiday club today so B and I are going to crack the weeding and then go into to town for a few bits. Gorgeous day here - how about everybody else?

Happy Birthday to all the birthday babes - where have two years gone?

MJreturns · 13/04/2009 10:32

Happy Birthday to all those with birthdays today, and all those over the weekend that I missed! Have wonderful days all

Runny, glad you had a good day, shame about W's fall, hope his head is ok today

SOL, glad you had a good day with your parents too

2HCB, a girl! So so lovely, I can thoroughly recommend girls, they are fab! I have noticed my girl is far more willful and stroppy than my boy ever was Little miss independent!

Leaky, what a strange bunch of ladies on that thread. We have had a host of people popping onto our thread and I think we have always made people feel extremely welcome and part of the group. (I can say that as the founder member )
Lovely to hear that your dh did well at the NCT classes again. He is doing great isn't he

Can't remember any more. Not really surprising as I am slightly distracted with a mug of coffee and a creme egg..........yum!

Dh and ds off fishing today (yes Liath, fisHing!). They will be back around 3pm then we have the really fun prospect of going to the MIL's for tea

MJreturns · 13/04/2009 10:33

Eddas, did you CAT me? How would I find it if you had?!

CaptainDippy · 13/04/2009 11:40

Yep, all sorted for P's Birthday. We're going to the local Mini Railway at 12pm on Sat 25th April (has to be Sat before P's Birthday because DD2 is 4 on May 20th)and we've invited friends to bring a picnic and join in the fun DH will be making train cake.

cazboldy · 13/04/2009 16:11

eeeewwww we have had / are in the throes of a horrible sickness bug

So bad I was in bed all day yesterday which is most unlike me! I have cleared up so much sick.....

and my house stinks

and it is a complete shit tip, but i barely have the energy to care let alone clean it

Just wanted to say Happy birthday to all the birthdays today, and any I have missed over he weekend

bleurgh

StealthPolarBear · 13/04/2009 16:36

Hi everyone
Happy birthday to Erin, Joe, Alice, Harry and Maia
MJ - CAT - you'll get it as an email, whatever you have registered on here (do you get the Parenting News etc??)
Computer been in various stages of death all weekend, it's been very annoying. If I disappear again then I'm just trying to convince DH we can afford a new one!
Hope everyone has had a good easter weekend. It has been lovely here T is absolutely obsessed with pointing out bikes and telling me whether the rider is wearing a helmet or not (cos you have to wear a helmet when you're on a bike )

Hope the birthday babies, and everyone else, have all had a nice day. The weather here has brightened up again, and we went to the park and picked up a few essentials from the supermarket on the way home. Have to do a big online supermarket shop.

There was some sort of gathering at the park of Hasidic Jewish (I think) families with small children - what amused me most is that each family seemed to have dressed its kids up in matching outfits - many rather smart togs for playing in the sandpit, although one family dressed their sons in matching hoodies. I was concerned I might cause offence feeding Conor in front of them (they wear quite covering up clothes) but at least one of the group was nursing her own baby, albeit under a blanket. And although I don't usually use blankets I don't think people can see that much when I feed.

oooggs · 13/04/2009 20:15

I used blankets in the begining elkie but I think it was a confidence thing but don't need to now I am an exhibitionist confident

Happy Birthday my lovelies

caz - oh no - hope you are all better soon

katy - we need a new pc as well but money is being spent on other things - which we also need

runny - I love Thomas

Have been having loads of BH contractions in last couple of days. Have had them since 20ish weeks but these ones have been lasting hours at a time.Feel like my body is getting ready for something.

Fingers crossed that nothing happens until Thursday, the magic date when I can have my hb!

Dh told me last night that he feels much more knowledgable and prepared this time round. Pheeeew! All thanks to the NCT methinks

StealthPolarBear · 14/04/2009 11:12

Leaky!
Why can't you have a HB before Thursday? Will you be 37 weeks then? It's only 37 hours away
Are you going to have an MN labour?

OP posts:
CaptainDippy · 14/04/2009 13:05

Hope you are all much better asap. xx

No Birthdays today!

DD2 has been horrid all morning ..... sooooo relieved 2 smallest are in nursery this pm and DD1 with G'ma so I can get some peace and quiet catch up with NCT work!

StealthPolarBear · 14/04/2009 19:17

Am v.tired and off to bed soon.
Hi to all and vow to do better[me that is[
xxxx

leakyR · 14/04/2009 21:01

SPB - that's right I'm not 37 weeks until Thursday. According to the hospital calculations. According to mine I'll be 38 weeks on Thursday.

Foolishly went on a bunny hunt this afternoon with ds, some friends and their dc. A 2 plus mile walk round a country park not best idea when you are feeling so iffy and tired. The kids enjoyed it. I feel like I've been hit by a train.

Hope all the poorly people feel better soon.

I'm off to bed.

elkiedee · 14/04/2009 21:47

OOoh exciting Leaky, but hope baby waits to start coming until Thursday.

Sexonlegs · 14/04/2009 22:07

Evening

Sorry to hear about dreaded D&V - hope everyone feels better soon.

Leaky, hang on in there!!! No sex for you my girl

Dooby, lovely to see you on here. Mum is doing so well, it is quite amazing. Scan results next Tuesday. x

V quiet on here.

B dispatched to in-laws yesterday for 4 whole nights. The house is so quiet without her!! Have a shitty cold and whilst dh and I had hoped to enjoy some early nights, the early nights I want are not the ones he want!!

Off to bed.... to sleep!!!!
