MRM love the tattoo

Missing the summer fair here, dd1 got sent home this afternoon (at the same time as Meris ds, so I picked him up as well!! he'd been sick, but thankfully wasn't in my hire car...) dd1 in the meantime had tummy ache and kept crying.....she now has the squits....why does this always happen when dh is away Finger's x'd she's fixed for tomorrow. Have begged Meri to save me one of her cakes! and have picked up a sad curry for one quickly from sainsb's. and yakult for all of us, just in case!

CantSleepWontSleep · 10/07/2009 18:16

Congratulations Phoenix. Nice respectable weight.

CantSleepWontSleep · 10/07/2009 18:17

Finger? I only read status. Off to check.

CantSleepWontSleep · 10/07/2009 18:20

Oh yes. Which one is missing Phoenix (out of nothing more than curiousity)?
Am puzzled though - isn't this one of the things that they check for at 20 week scan, so I would have expected you to know in advance?

TheFool · 10/07/2009 20:25

if they have their hands in fists, you would only see a little bit of a finger, so where most "missing" ones finish?

EachPeachPearMum · 10/07/2009 21:39

Congratulations Phoenix! Wow- he's a big lad! Lovely name

Legoland was great! Right... when can I go again?

TheFool · 10/07/2009 22:03

I feel like crap.

Jas · 10/07/2009 22:31

I know 20 week scans pick up more serious issues, but the children I know with a cleft lip, cleft palette and three extra toes were all missed at their scans.

Does gd disappear with the birth of the baby?

I hope you are both well and home soon Phoenix.

Tyke1 · 10/07/2009 22:44

Hi all,Phoenix's dh here, all is well apart from the finger.Mother and baby are fine. Not too sure what they could have seen at the scan regarding the missing finger as there is no gap or stump, just looks like a normal healthy hand minus. He was a very healthy weight at 8lbs 10and half ounces.Thats all for now, will try to update maybe tomorrow or Sunday and thanks for the congrats.

Jas · 10/07/2009 22:45

Thanks for posting

Give her our love

EachPeachPearMum · 10/07/2009 22:48

Oh... 8, 10 and a half... I misread as 10 and a half as in pounds!

SoupDragon · 10/07/2009 22:50

Congratulations, Phoenix!

Frizbe · 10/07/2009 23:47

good to see you on here Phoenix's dh he was 0.5 lbs lighter than dd2!

EPPM for your lovley day out, I've yet to go there, its on the list as usual...have kitten curled up on my tummy, may have to put him in his basket in a moment and go and get myself some sleep!

Frizbe · 11/07/2009 18:47

Am I on my own today then?

EachPeachPearMum · 11/07/2009 20:52

yes!

CantSleepWontSleep · 11/07/2009 21:00

Definitely Friz.

CantSleepWontSleep · 11/07/2009 21:01

Thanks for posting tyke.
I was thinking that I remembered them counting fingers and toes at my scan, but it may in fact have been when ds was born, which would make more sense.

Frizbe · 11/07/2009 21:30

Ner!

Frizbe · 12/07/2009 10:32

mustrunmore · 13/07/2009 14:18

Ah A baby! And so glad not me having another one lol. Do i really have to be bothered to go look at face book too now? someone just do a link so i can click next time.

Phoenix · 13/07/2009 15:20

Hello

We're home. Thanks for the congrats, he's gorgeous. Lewis can't stop kissing him

It's his little finger that is missing and it's just been put down to one of those things. The pead said it's more likely for babies to be born with extra fingers/toes than one missing. TBH unless you actually studied and counted his fingers you wouldn't notice as there is no gap there or anything.
